This month I, for some reason, put a stop to all my income and decided to make a rage game. Why? Because, well... I don't really know, it just sounded fun.
The game is called "This is Hell," and features a little human with massive hands trying to escape the depths of the abyss. Can you reach the top and achieve divinity?

tbh, that would be quite nice to get some productivity tips even though there's many out there
it's always nice to see other peoples ways since it could be the one that'll help.
My favorite parts in these type of games are little easter eggs and secrets like : secret rooms, secret characters, secret objects and maybe a secret radio commercial that has a 0.6% chance of playing
You could always add a rise type mode where lava rises and kills you if you don’t descend fast enough. Im not sure if it’s a viable option for a mode or not but if it’s doable in This Is Hell it might be an interesting idea.

I think there should be a pvp mode once you make it to heaven. Goofy arm physics and steel weapons seems fun for more content post game.

How can EA trademark Dante's inferno, that's a 700 year old story.
8:10 I am not sure if I agree or not, on one side goblins are freaky lil guys so I'd love to play as one but on the other hand goblins are too perfect so it is too unrealistic to say a goblin could possibly go to hell.
Maybe if you finish the game you unlock Goblin as a playable character?

Is a controller required?
WASD + Mouse is supported as a back up, but the buttons offer much less control than a joystick.. so not required, but recommended!

Because they published the game Dante's Inferno in 2010(pretty cool game too!) so they trademarked it because that's what companies do. I'm not sure how the legal stuff works exactly, it probably only holds up for video games since the original work is a historical piece and thus belongs to the public domain.

Hey! I tried last week and it was crashing without errors, so I knew it would be a big pain to debug.. but its on my list! I got the IOS build to work, so I should hopefully get Mac to work. I’ll make a post as soon as I do :)

Are you sure you want to price it at 6.99? It seems a bit much for a game like this.
Note: I'm in no way an authority on that matter and I have not done research on your game's genre. It's just subjective feeling. + I'm pretty sure that Chris Zukowski advised to price games rather low. (more_copies x small_price > less_copies x big_price)
Just make sure that's what you want to do.
A good question - I think it's a fair price, with Getting Over It priced at 7.99, pogostuck at 6.99, and jump king at 12.99, it's on the lower end... I may bump down to 5.99 though. With it probably being on sale most of the time I'm not too worried.

I thought so too, but apparently they’re close enough to be an issue - like I can’t make a store called Waltmart since it sounds too close Walmart, they could argue that I’m making sales off of confusion between the two names
