If someone comes to your door asking for help or looking for someone:
Tell them you know people who can help. Then inform them that you are on the phone with 911.
It would be cool if you have the 911 operator on Ring speaker: "911, what's your emergency?"

You know what? I used to get angry at the Thieves but now i see people hook up these cameras and assume there house is protected. Nobody wants to put in the effort to confront these people or even look at there phone when they get an alert. These cameras are literally worthless. None of these people are ever caught and even if they were caught the penalty would be minor. So we have homeowners who are complacent and the thieves who are incentivised to do this. The purpose of the camera is 100% entertainment.
@cptjockitch I do agree with you to a point. People need to do more to secure their place, absolutely. But I think ring or whatever can help in more serious situations. Like, it shows someone gaining access to a home, and said home owner ventilated him, and it shows on camera, it would help the homeowner. That's just my take.
And I know it varies by state.

I feel the same way as another commenter. Why in the world would you open your door and then give him a fist bump when you don’t even know him😳. That makes no sense. Come on…the lady didn’t give the lady on the bike who was stealing from her a piece of her mind at all. She should have been more firm, and if home gone outside to get her package back. It wasn’t like the thief was getting away fast. Now for the last video. He asked to use the phone, and then proceeded to come back to say he had a vision…clearly he has some issues. No one should be opening up their doors to let anyone use their phones. It’s crazy that people would go to a strange house to ask that question.

Agreed with the previous comment, its similar to people who buy a firearm and think 'NOW im safe...'. you dont just buy a doorbell camera and think that one thing is enough to make your home safer if you dont utilize its functions. if you dont at the very least confront someone at your door or monitor your property when you get the notification, then what's the point of having it. I have heard many times that the police, in a very general way, will not go looking for someone randomly stealing from a person's door or porch. 5 out of 10 times, a simple "Get away-i see you-you're on camera" will deter someone robbing a shipment. If you dont use it, then its just there to post vids on the yootoobz for entertainment. I have my 2A ready if needed, and a couple baseball bats by the front door when its a non-lethal threat...you come to my door, i am not just going to say "May i help you?" as if you are ordering food from a carry-out.

Not even on the part of the stranger but the person's ring audio sounded like a mix of a porno, a woman barely waking up, a gangster movie, and an angry confused woman. I don't blame that guy for being thrown off and feeling like he was played with.
