Father , I've been praying the rosary for nearly 2 years for my son, I cry about him at least once a day and the only way I can help him is going to mass at least 4 times a week and begging the Lord, last Friday I was tired after work, didn't want to go to mass but I felt God wanted me too, I went and and the priest's said in his sermon that years ago he was at a retreat in New Zealand and he remembers the words of st Johns Gospel; "Jesus looked at the young man and he loved him" I struggle with my faith, but this removed all my doubts, the Lord spoke to me about my son through the Gospel ; needed to hear his voice as I was was losing all hope. I'm crying with emotion just thinking about this experience. My sons situation has not changed, he has no contact with me., but I know God loves him. Thank you Father. 🌹
There was a lovely song I knew as a child, and it had a chorus...it was repetitive and was beautiful! 'Be still and know that I am God' .. Such peace! I remember the storm on the sea and who's in charge. He has the reigns of every storm....we're tossed a little sometimes, but we hold on tight!

Thanks Father Thady for this encouraging video. I often want to hear the voice of Jesus and his guidance in many decisions I have to make. I hear a lot of voices and sometimes I am sure I have heard Jesus guidance in a situation but like you say in this video I have other negative emotions affecting my response, often anger, fear, impatience and insecurity. In terms of my family I am trying to surrender the situation to Jesus and not keep taking it back and trying to solve it in my own strength.

Have you any views on the priest in Gort suspended and the bishop says he getting the necessary help very good but what about the priest in mayo who was found in bed with the butchers daughter he got the necessary help which was being put into the local mental hospital wasn't this wonderful but the priests that were abusing children weren't put into mental hospitals they were given a clap on the back and sent to another parish to repeat this abuse
