A fluent Mandarin speaker heard that Dimash (a non Chinese speaker) had to learn this song in only a few days. He said it was impossible and too difficult to pronounce the words. After listening to this performance he said it was unbelievable. Not only was Dimash 99% accurate but he'd sung it better than Any Chinese singer has ever sung it. This performance turned Dimash into a Superstar in China. There's a very important song called "Jasmine" and it's considered a great honour to be asked to sing it. Dimash has been asked to sing it to Celebrate the Chinese New Year for the last 3 consecutive years. All 3 versions are on utube 2 of which are duets. Dimash has lived in China for the last 3 years. 😃🏴👍

I'd like to remind Dimash fans that the MTV youtube channel Friday Livestream returns on May 14 from 5-8 pm New York time. Dimash just barely managed to finish in the #1 position in requests on the last airing of the show so will need us to show up in large numbers this Friday to type REQUEST DIMASH in the chat as many times as possible during the program in order to keep Dimash at the top. Those who want to help Dimash in return for all he has done for us should calculate their time zone differences and tune into that program every Friday to vote for Dimash. He is clearly the class act among what is mostly mediocre pop music artists and it would be ashamed to let him fall to any of the other acts. The MTV Friday Livestream usually becomes accessible about 30 minutes before it's scheculed start of 5-8 pm New York time.

My favorite version of Autumn Strong by far. He is singing flawlessly in Chinese, doing a Chinese song, and in front of a Chinese audience. What a great combination!
Such perfection! Every note, whether high or low, just crystal clear and so much emotion packed in this performance!
This song till a few years ago, was some quite "censured" among China's Culture rules, because of the origin of the song: the story behind it (has Gloria Wu said) , and being from Japan (their historical enemies)... but it's so popular among the people of China, for decades!! that nobody couldn't forget it, but never demonstrate or sing it in public...
Since Dimash the song has renovated it's history, melody and love among the public.
That's why you see people crying of emotion for seeing somebody sing this song in China again, for some this is most significant: by it's deepest melancholic feelings and by the state of the country.
