There's a game called One Hour One Life that I think would be interesting for you to check out.
As someone who has played approximately too much of this game, my only notable tip is to get comfortable fighting nightmare creatures. It is often easier to fight them then it is to keep sane, and the nightmare fuel they drop can be useful for crafting magic items.
Protip: be insane, its much easier.

as someone with over 2k hours, how is it harder to stay sane? I agree that its better to stay insane for fuel etc but i never have any problems staying sane if i want to.

@@Sleepy_Lunatic To stay sane you have to spend resources/time to get back to sane, being insane is easier as you will naturally become insane (except for certain characters)
@@starseth yea getting insane is ofc easier then getting sane but i talk about BEING sane or insane.
Besides that, if you dont mess up it not that hard to stay sane
Big tip: Always have a fire place pre build! I did not count how often that would've easily saved you in the early game x'D.
Or you could just light a tree on fire not only heating up thermal stones but also warming you up

Lol, I think most DS players have those mods, or atleast a few of those mods. I've only ever really seen a small amount of dislike of any quality of life mods in DS' reddit so Seanie probably knew using it was safe.

Theres no such thing as cheating in a game you are playing alone. Cheating requires another party recieving some kind of loss because of unfair disadvantage. The cpu cant lose, its actually programmed for you to win (at least eventually)

It’s so interesting seeing different playstyles. I personally love the beefalo tactic w regular farming and manure farming, or playing as Webster and doing a complete monster run.
I did expect to be slightly traumatized by this video. I didnt expect it to happen within the first 30 seconds by means of MaxXWil fanart. 😮

You calling Maxwell sexy really hit home for me. He really is. There’s something about a powerful deranged man who falls into his own trap that just intrigues me I guess. Plus, his dialogue for the progressing stages of adventure mode gives different sides of him. It’s so cool.
I just recently got back to the game after being away from it for a few years. Super coincidental that one of my favorite CZcamsrs starts playing it around the same time!

I love don't starve! Im also a big fan of the mechanic that makes creatures fight each other. The fighting mechanics in the game aren't particularly good, but it is awfully fun to see them flight and collect the rewards. That's why i always try to build a base near beefalo (for hounds) and go to the swaps for deerclopse. And for some other creatures too, like queen spider. Im glad you decided to play!!
I have over 1500 hours on this game (What can I say, I love the game) and it's HARD but so fun and yes, Reign of Giants really jacked the difficulty but I love the seasons aspect. Shipwrecked is just a whole other level.
A Don't Starve Hamlet would be awesome 100 days. Hamlet and Shipwreck DLCs are way more fun than RoG. It's better to play DST if playing in the constant world.

A tip that seems like it'd do you a lot of good: Giving a pig 4 monster meat will forcibly transform it into a werepig, which has triple the drops (2 meat 1 skin) and with no luck, it will ALWAYS drop those 3 items, AND it's way easier to fight because it doesn't try to kite you back.
I will note, Dont Starve, and Dont Starve Together, are now very different games.
Dont Starve Together now has much more content including BOAT, so consider checking it out
I would love to see you go into that other sinkhole in the caves you found. It generates a area that has the best weapons, armor, light items, etc in the Game yet very dangerous.
Here’s a tip, moggles are incredibly useful, acting as nightvision goggles, made from live moles hit by a hammer, and a glow berry from that big worm.
This is more of a stealth mission, so only pick fights you have to take.
Good luck if you ever make a 200 days!

As someone whos got 2000+ hours in the series and played since 2013 i can point out like 100+ things you did wrong lol. Learning and discovering is the best part of this game by far.
little tip, you can either plan ahead by leaving a torch (and even a thermal stone) near your touch stones so that you dont immediately die to dark or cold when you respawn
oor, if you can collect the ingredients for a torch, you can arson your way back to base without losing much hp from cold

I’m such a loot goblin in this game. I witness random wildlife fight each other for hard loot, like tentacle loot. Tentacles and merms have ended my runs multiple times.

Enjoyed, made a lot of noobie mistakes but at least you survived! Just one thing I will mention, rain of frogs is easily turned into rain of frog legs by two or three traps and a few minutes effort. Thanks for sharing the fun!

Honey. When you have a bee farm, it is the easiest way to restore both health and hunger, and partly sanity too. I always use honey nuggets instead of healing salves because they restore 20 hp, almost 40 hunger and 5 sanity all at once. If you have 5+ beehives with flowers planted around them, hunger and health is never a problem, and you keep quite well also in sanity department. Honey is quite OP in DS, and you just need a few dedicated days to establish a bee farm. After that, if you have also spider and pig farms, you have unlimited honey hams and honey nuggets to restore all three of your stats.

The Long Dark was one of my favorite survival games(absolute number 1 was DST, TLD was at second place) don't played it a while though, but to me The Long Dark becomes boring way too fast than in other games when i try to survive forever, dunno why. My maximum survived days was around ~230.I didnt even die, i just got really bored by fishing, eating and sleaping, and then i stopped playing it.

Don't Starve is a great game. The farthest I got into Adventure mode once I found its portal was with a mod character Woad. Yes, that Woad. It was two Adventure worlds (you gotta find ways to each one) and died. I think the mod broke at some point and that ended that for a while (I might try recovering it someday). It was fun if tough. That was before shipwreck came out and became a tougher mode to me than most!
I had an idea for a Stardew Valley challenge. What if you played Stardew Valley super zoomed in? Like more than the vanilla game allows, so zoomed in that you can only see like a tile in each direction, or maybe just you and the tile you're on. I guess after that, you'd attempt to progress or something. You could do this in another game if you prefer, but I thought of it when playing with the zoom buttons in Stardew. I hope you haven't already done something similar.

I spotted the bit where you used the bg music from cult of the lamb and actually wouldn't mind a bit more gameplay from that game. It's gotten a lot more content added to it since you've played it last including a don't starve mode!
i would say "Skill issue", but this is actually entirely reasonable. the biggest flaw of the dont starve games is you have to sink 300 hours into them before they start to become fun.

7:37 For those who don't know that is a set piece not a biome you can find different types of these set paces spawn all-around your world

Best tip for frog rain: traps. They can get caught in them while chasing you, and then you don't waste any weapon or armor durability. Similarly, don't dig up the rabbit holes because that removes their spawn point, just set the traps on top of each one and when the rabbit comes out it will immediately get caught.
Those pig head/stakes that surround the touch stones (and are often placed throughout swamp biomes near the merms) can be hammered down for pig skins with no risk to your health or meat investment in befriending pigs.
Using roasted birchnuts and berries will make Trail Mix, it's a hearty way to replenish health with simpler ingredients than pierogi.

Half way in the video and it was realy fun watching someone play the solo don't starve and 1 thing is about attacking enemies you can use ctrl + F to attack the nearest mob to you but be careful you can attack glommer or chester in don't starve with this method

For frog rain season, you can build those grass traps and lur the frogs into them and they just die instantly. :)

I recommend the Action Queue mod! It automates repeated actions like planting, building, etc.
