I liked it! It doesn't looks bad, the measurements looks pretty good, my only question is, how will you know if it works or not? By getting a better time lap?
Function over form is my outlook. However I think it looks fine here as well. I seen a video on the ring taxi guys youtube channel make his own aero too. Seems the best way to know it is done properly. Losing downforce at speed is scary.(And braking power)
Function over form...give it a coat of gloss black it will be fine. I think I would have done it in two pieces. Left and right side....have the two it meet in the center of the bumper. I get why you wouldn't want to drill into the splitter...an aftermarket lip might be better.
@@phelpsgarage4202 I think it will look better once it’s painted and matches the rest of the car, it will probably just blend in real nice. Better than cheap plastic!
So you can use that high pressure on top of the splitter to push the car down. Without the air dam, the air will just flow through it not causing much high pressure. I probably should of said why we need one in the video.
Very nice DIY it’s rough now but it can get pretty clean once your done with it.
Thank you!

Feel and balance of the car I assume.. I’m planning on going faster now with the front splitter and rear wing
🔥🔥🔥🔥

I bolted down 💪🏻

The aftermarket lip was to big and ate up to much of the splitter. So air dam it is. A two piece air dam would probably be better
Tip to aide in cutting aluminum, use parfin wax on the metal and blade .
Thank you for sharing this information!
And rev it up before starting to cut
I think it will look good in the end. At least give it a spray and sleep on it🚀
It’s on now. I bought a lip and it was to big for the splitter so I bolted the air dam
@@phelpsgarage4202 so we will wait for the update, have a good week-end 🤝
@@kevind_53 thank you
How can you make a decision about it when it’s not even finished or painted ? I’d finish it completely before I decided to trash all that work.
The more I see it the more I like it.. at the time I just didn’t love it. I have a cheap front lip coming for it next and then I’ll decide.

but without running a CFD model its hard to know does it work or not though
True, but it has to be more beneficial with then without. How effective? I don’t know 🤷🏻♂️
I dont really understand it probably but why do you want to block air coming in?🤔

Just watched you splitter video again. I see now THX👍
Buy a lip boy
