Thank you for keeping the standards high, approaching your education in a calm and thoughtout way.
Just perfect 👌🏽
🥹 Thank you so much. This really made my day 🌺🤍
I fully agree!
TOTALLY❤ I have learned MORE from Jai in a month than I have from spending WAY too much $$ by watching and asking questions from “my Nail Lady” for the past decade……I got to a point where I just refused to pay such a crazy amount of money and it was not like I was asking for sculpting or decals or flowers or 3-D etc as she could do literally ANYTHING…….I even had a GF say to me “Why don’t you just take a course?” And then I went with her to HER “nail lady” and I must have caught about 9 “wrong/unhygienic/sloppy/etc” things that she did to her nails including CUTTING her cuticles that were still ALIVE so out came “oh it’s just a little blood” which was when I had to draw the line…..I am a Nurse Practitioner so now she is in my aseptic world…..I was polite but to the point because the straw on this camels back was when she just looked at me as if I was a “nut job” and pulled out a pink nail block that was CLEARLY USED and she had already drawn blood so that was a “Nope, nope, nope…..no Hepatitis for my GF, not in my lifetime…..” and we went back to my house (I have amassed quite the collection of Nail EXTRAVAGANZA items as my Hubby calls it, I turned my ipad on and spun it around so she could watch “Journeys With Jai” while I FINISHED HER NAILS……Of course I had her wash her hands with Bac Stat and get the bleeding to stop….grrr. But they turned out really well IMO, she said “I LOVE THEM!!!!” About a million times and asked when I will do them again….to which I replied that she could just watch Jai’s entire channel front to back and then do her own and KNOW she was NOT going to get Hepatitis AND she would have beautiful nails but she was NOT going back THERE again!
After 2 days she text me to thank me for her “mani” as well as the lost 2 days of “binge watching” JWJ as she feels like her IQ is up “a couple points” LOL…..so we went shopping for some nail items that Jai had recc’d (GF had a LIST, Bless her heart!) and we were looking at two different glues and she turned to me and said “WWJD?” & and I knew IMMEDIATELY what she meant and burst out laughing saying “My Little girl is all GRow’d up!” & we laughed and laughed and pulled out our phones to find the brand of something Jai had said was what to use for something and we heard laughing from the Cash register area and it was the girl working there (about 25-ish) and I looked at her and apologized right away thinking I hope she did NOT think we were laughing about her or anything in the store and she was still laughing as she started to ring in some items and lifted up a bottle and said “Yes, I believe Jai would approve of this…” and we ALL went silent for about 2 seconds and then peels of laughter and tears down our cheeks……we made a new friend that day❤.
So, Jai is famous all the way up here in chilly 🇨🇦. We do love you girl! If I knew 10% of what you have forgotten I would quite Nursing!!!! You are our Guru!❤
I’m just now coming across your comment and it has truly made my day! This means so much to me you have no idea and I’m just happy to be able to assist you guys in anyway I can 🥹🤍
My daughter's name is Jai (hard on the i), and her best friend's name is Jai, pronounced like yours. My daughter and I are both trained nails techs.
The trick with the small brush and acetone is such a game changer for making it all blend seamlessly. It definitely makes a difference! I do however use a primer and base coat before applying the tips/nails as well; it seems to really matter, in my case. Otherwise I'll get a full nail popping off after a couple of weeks or so.
I never thought to put the dehydrator on the inside of the nail tips!! Thank you!!
Happy to help!☺️🌺🤍
Didn’t she say acetone?
Was looking for a good tutorial without a drill. I have cats that get nosy when I'm doing things and I don't want them breathing in the dust. This definitely helps!
I just got a dust collector off Amazon for 25.00. Sharing just in case this information may help
Salons have done almost terminal damage to my nails , I will never again will i visit one. Can’t wait to dry this method
Sorry to hear that but I am glad that you found my channel 🌺🤍
Hi, just found this video and its exactly what i need. I was a nail tech in another lifetime, 35 yrs ago, and gel was just coming into Australia. Oh, and electric drills were frowned upon because it was too easy to do damage. Anyway, I have decided to start doing my own nails, mad at 58 yrs old i know, and needed a refresher course in the new gels. This video is perfect and taught me everything I needed to know, now its just practice, practice, practice 💜🩷💜
The acetone melt is the key!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!
I COMPLETELY DROPPED…MY…JAW….HOW have I not known that…..I feel like a “I was this many years old when i found out….”🤦🏼♀️…..sheesh. Thank Heaven for Jai❤❤❤🙏🏻
Best video ! And that trick with the acetone to set the nails at the cuticle is an amazing tip!!! Thank you! 😊
The acetone is such a great idea!! It will save me so much time.
Yes, I don’t do this technique often but it’s a good alternative if someone does not have or want to use a drill.
Genuis!!! Tysm!
You’re amazing love this tip!!! Thank you!!!
Love the shape and the color OMGosh! My set was delayed so I canceled! Oh dear, now the set is the only thing available now. I guess it’s worth it ❤❤❤
This is the best tutorial I have seen. Thank you❤
Yess thank you, a good nail drill is quite expensive for me as a beginner, this alternative is the best, seriously ❤
Yes! So simple and straightforward. Loved this. Thanks for all the tips!

That top coat looks Amazing!
Thank You 🤍
HelloJai! I'm glad I found your channel. I'm always frustrated with removing the old tips and applying the nail tips to avoid them popping up or not looking nice after two weeks of growing natural nails. Would you please make a video on properly removing them without damaging the natural nails? Thank you for your tips and wishes for success in your channel!✨
Amazing tutorial! I haven’t seen anyone use dehydrator on the tip, I’ve seen primer though. I’m not sure what dehydrator would do for the nail but very interested to see how it works for you!
That nail color is gorgeous!!!!
Thank you ☺️
One of the best and most simple tutorials ever. Thank you! ❤
TYSM 🤍
Nice video, so that LED or is it UV lamp works well I see

Good afternoon😊 What brand full cover GelX tips are you using? Thanks!
This is exactly what I was looking for! I wanted a demo of the acetone cuticle sealing hack. Ty! U made everything look so effortless. And I love that u didn't use a efile at all. That's impressive 👏🙌
Thank you so much, I’m glad you found it helpful ☺️🤍

Whats the best nail glue and topcoat for shiny nails?
Precious ❤. Ty for sharing. I love that technique, specially cause my nails are not to big.

So beautiful
Thank you so much🌺🤍
from now on i'm only using this video as where to direct friends/people that ask me how i do my nails. your channel is great! ✨️
TYSM 🥹🤍 that’s amazing
I have such a difficult time finding the right amount to add when applying the nail.
I either do too much or just not enough 🙄🤦🏻♀️.
Plus I do these on myself so one hand (my left) A L W A Y S looks better than the right hand side lol. For the obvious reason being I’m right handed 😂
New watcher and now a subscriber too your Chanel.
Hopeful and excited to learn and hopefully master my own nails.
Since becoming a stay at home mom I’ve been doing my own nails a lot more often than I did before.
I was going to go into the nail profession 5\6 years ago and then got diagnosed with MS. The numbness I experience isn’t ideal for me to create and achieve that career outside of just personal, hobby fun.
Love to grow and constantly learn as the nail world evolves though so I’m all for your Chanel and the other ones I’ve come across and loved so far.
Thank you for the content.
Look forward too seeing much more sis!
Wish you nothing but the best and that you continue to thrive in this nail industry girl ❤
Thank you so much for watching and I hope you continue your nail journey. I’m very happy to have you here 🌺🤍
Your nails are beautiful and the color is 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Thank you so much 🤍

Boa noite! O que é esse líquido transparente que você passa na cutícula depois que cola as unhas?
what is this kit called?
Thanks for the video, it helped me a lot, can you please tell me can we use a builder gel as the first layer on the tips before the color, to make it more stronger?
Yes, absolutely I sometimes add a layer of builder gel for strength ☺️🤍
@@JourneyswithJai thanks dear I appreciate it ❤️
What brand of tips are these?
Evey since watching this I have not used my dip, acrylic out gel lol😂😂😂. I do love my nails thicker so I add about 3 layers of builder gel
We love adding builder gel especially to add strength and thickness 🤍
What nail file number do you use? I have 100/180
❤❤
14:52 👋 I love your videos but can you make them brighter like more light it looks dark on my phone and hard to see❤ I had my brightness up all the way too ... really enjoyed this set tho.
I agree! They are a tad too dark. I love her techniques sooooo much.
❤
New subscriber here 💜💜
I love your videos and I also do Gel-X.
Do you think you can make a video on how to remove it? I still struggle with that process.
TYSM 🌺 I do also have a removal video my channel 🤍
🥰😍🔥🔥🔥🔥
Does this acetone trick work the same for acrylic full cover tips like tipex.????
I have not tried it myself
Im about to order Tipex
I have a dehydrator and a primer can I use a keratin bond as well and if it can would I use the bond before or after the primer ?
Also I noticed you didn’t apply a layer of gel polish on your nail and then cure it then apply glue, does it make a difference if i do the thin layer and cure it and then apply the glue?
Hi, I personally have not used a keratin bond before. If you would like to, you definitely can apply a thin layer of base gel before going in with the gel adhesive. I personally find that my nails last longer when I don’t but that’s just my preference. ☺️
Do u got to use base coat got them to last??
Hi, no I typically do not use base coats and they last great 🤍
LOVE your nail sweet and easy to follow tutorial. I would like to see how to safely remove those nails please 😊. Have a good day everyone 🌴🌺👋.
Hi,
Thank you so much for watching, I also have removal videos on my channel 🤍
Do you recommend this for a c curve nail? I have been having problems with press-ons due to my nails having the curve.
They have gel x nail extensions that have more of an apex which fit way better for c curve! The Beetles medium square are my favorites of those
@@sophiagh06 thanks a ton! I’m going to look into that brand. I’ve been struggling to find something at works.
Hi, I would definitely recommend nail tips from Apres. It would be in the sculpted family for anyone that has a C curve nail bed. There are also a few brands that I’ve used from Amazon that have a really nice C curve as well.
@@JourneyswithJai the Apres brand, can I get any one or is there something I should be looking for in the details? So I’ve wasted so much money in the past.
@SimplyIshimina Hi beautiful! You can get any from Apres that says sculpted. It's the gold box, but just look for that word "SCULPTED" so you don’t waste anymore unnecessary money on them.
Hi. Do you need to use a primer after you de hydrate your nails ? Also what is the top coat you used? Thank you for sharing your video
Hi,
You can use a primer after dehydrating your nails. I have the top coat linked under products used in my description. 🤍
Where did you purchase the UV lamp?
Amazon I have it linked in the description box as well 🤍
Very beautiful ! Stiletto ? ❤
Thank you and yes they are stiletto 🌺🤍
how do you remove the tips when you're ready for a fresh set ? xx
Hi, I have a Gel x removal video on my channel 🌺🤍
You don’t apply and gel to your natural nails line the original instructions?
How do you keep your shape when polishing I feel like the polish changes my shape
Hi, I recommend applying thin layers of the gel polish. The gel polishes I use are very opaque so I don’t have to put on thick layers. I usually apply about 1 to 2 layers of my gel polish on the nail, and I keep it even thinner along the sides to maintain the shape. 🤍
What's the best opaque gel polish do you use, if I may ask?
I like DND, Beetles, Cre8tions, Born Pretty and OPI just to name a few of my top favs. 🤍
What tips did u use for this one ? Brand/length?
Are you using Gel or Glue?
I notice you didn’t put a layer of the gel on your natural nails like most teach I’m going to try this method I feel ima get better results
Can this method be practiced on a dummy hand ?
I’m not sure I actually do not have a dummy hand yet 🥹
Whats the removal process?
Hi Daisy,
I have a removal video here for you I hope it helps 😊
How To Remove Gel X Nails | Step By Step | At Home
czcams.com/video/tBh6fiIP6go/video.html
Hello,
How can you remove these nails?
Hi,
I have a removal video and have linked it below 🤍
How To Remove Gel X Nails | Step By Step | At Home
czcams.com/video/tBh6fiIP6go/video.html
I’ve seen some people put nail glue on the real nail and cure it first and then put it on the fake nail also…what is the point of that? I’ve tried it but mine keep popping off after A couple days I’m wondering if that is the issue.
I think it's supposed to be a substitute for a gel base coat. I don't use a base coat for gel x because the gel glue acts similarly to one anyways
Why didn’t you use a base coat before the color?
On nail tips base coat is not necessary, but on natural nails we apply base coat under the gel color
Base coat is required whether on an enhancement or natural nail. The base coat provides the sticky layer needed for the gel to adhere maximally. If applied without a base coat just know that you are highly likely to experience peeling and chipping.
@@lovebug6388 I dont apply base coat on my polygel or nail tips and my gelish color lasts in place for up to 20-25 days.. on polygel I rub it with alcohol before applying color, and on nail tips i buff it before applying alcohol and color.
@@malvavartello1475 the buffing action provides the adhesion in this case. While this may work for you it's not the case for everyone. Also the base coat can help avoid atopic dermatitis from exposure to the chemicals over time to your natural nail.
Can you do a video on how to remove these?
I currently have a removal video on my channel I use the same technique each time.
i dont feel safe cutting my own cuticles is there a way that I can skip that step and go right into doing the process?
You don't have to cut your Eponychium. But cleaning up all the dead skin from the nail is a must for long lasting nails. If you don't mind having the dead skin connected to the Eponychium just....there.. it's a choice lol
@@monique_jones thank you for explaining not many has appreciate it ima try my set again :)
@@eshadinosaur oh, no problem. I do my own nails as well and I prefer the overlay method, with either poly gel or builder gel for long lasting nails. BUT having a clean nail plate is vital for retention. If you don't want to cut the skin and are not a fan of dry pushing back your cuticle, maybe use a cuticle softener. They sell the product cheap online or in cvs.
Hi, that’s a great question, I recommend doing what you feel comfortable with. Pushing back your cuticles to lift the dead skin off your nail bed helps with the longevity of your set 🤍
@@JourneyswithJai thank you so much! your videos i always look forward to seeing what i can learn 🩷
Everyone says that they last 3 to 4 weeks but one week later you see them with different nails, show us if it’s real and they really last 3 weeks
Have you had the opportunity to look at any of my videos showing the retention at the very end. Not all of my sets are going to be worn for multiple weeks as I create content. But I do have videos on my channel where I come back to show the nails 3+ weeks later and also how to fill them in. 🤍
It does last, I change mine nearly every week if I have time as i get bored. But... sometimes I can't be bothered and leave them on for a few weeks. I've done that many times and they do last. I'm not a technician, I just learned everything from CZcams. ☺️ if you manage to put on your nails without air bubbles they will last. Just make sure to always "place"the nails down ( cuticle end downwards ) and not just stick them on. 😉 Xxx
They do! Content creators remove theirs to make more content…they are the exception. I apply my own gel x that lasts 2 weeks before I change them.
Mine last about 2weeks.. then I have to redo them..
They so mine last over two weeks but I like to change them when I get bored with them two weeks later 🤷♀️
