Mylene's video clip "Sans Logique" is for me a masterpiece, original, particular in the images and in the story. Director Laurent was inspired by a painting by the famous painter Goya. There are many Mylene Farmer video clips that I love, but this one is among the most beautiful.

I think this is one of the most catchy songs from the 80s. The video is also perfect. Shows a very actress Mylene. It is impressive by its story, by its photography and also the songs and instrumentation 🌷❤

For me this is one of the most precious songs in the whole Mylene discography, among with the video. And its symbol (the woman possessed with the devil) is the reflection of the lyrics that says that we all combine angelic and diabolical sights at the same time and that makes a paradox (this is literally the lines of the chorus). I adore this song because it’s a paradox itself - it sounds dark and moody and it’s a upbeat dance song at the same time. So wonderful! Too bad she rarely performs it live.
I remember seeing this video in 1989 when I was 6. It both scared and fascinated me. Been a fan ever since.

It's very different but I'm sure you'll love it !
One of her richest videos in terms of meaning depth . The film is just magnificent, a sort of black and white sepia, the darkness of the Hispanic characters, the bullfight in the background, and of course the song itself, which stood out at the time among her usual repertoire. This is not the best known, nor her biggest hit, but this is probably one of her best songs (which she only sang on stage twice, in 89 and 19)
I went crazy when she sang it live in 2019 - Right after the intro ! BAM sans logique !!!

I think you should definitely do the music video to "Beyond My Control" next. Mylene being extremely dark, yet very sensual.
If you want to stay in the same era and atmosphere you can look at " A quoi je sers" (1989) which is a video showing all the characters from her first videos. It is a song about existentialism I think you like that!! It questions the idea of life, why are we on this planet and what for ? At the time she was on her first tour when the video came in. For Mylene this video illustrates the end of an era , showing all the characters from her previous videos . She tuns a chapter with this song and comes back more grungy a couple of years after with the Anamorphosis album. Take care and continue to react to all different videos it's so great!!! :)

That official videoclip got me right in my soul when I first saw it (I was 12 years old). Its darkness, the imagery of it, the symbolisms : devil, schizophrenia, death turn me as a huge fan of Mylène right at that time !!! Certainly one of my top 5 videoclips !!!!
Next recommendation : "Tristana" based on Snow White & the 7 dwarfs in Russia, "Beyond my Control" based on "Dangerous Liaisons" or "Je t'aime mélancolie" !!!!!!!

Was waiting for this! Sans logique is definitely one of her best songs and video clips.. you can analyse it to infinity. The mv was also expensive to make as they imported real soil to the studio.

Hi Dereck! Finally you did it! You couldn't believe it!! You were amazed to hear this song with CASTANETS! Olé! ☺It's the FIRST AND LAST TIME that Mylène includes Spanish vibes in her 80's songs.
It's my favorite song even if in this video it's the " Illogical Remix Club" and for the single release in February 1989 (and not in 1988 as you said!), it was remixed in a punchy version for the radios and commercial medias in " Logical Single Mix" a little shorter than album version (4'00).
In this video, Mylène ights her lover under the amused eyes of gypsy children, adults and old men before fatally piercing him with his two horns made of knife blades.
The angel at the start of the clip has turned into an evil animal that fights to the death.
There are many themes dear to Mylène present in this clip: death, blood, duality in the same being (good and evil), the victory of woman over man.
The music video was shot in in the studios of Arpajon, near Paris. The studio was huge, about 1,200 square meters with an Estimated budget for the clip: 150,000 euros for a filming over four days.
The screenplay is signed Laurent Boutonnat and Gilles Laurent. Most of the actors came from a family of gypsies living in the Parisian suburbs and registered with casting agencies.
