I have high arched feet, and at 51 I’m beginning to suffer various problems, but have Learnt a lot. One vital point that sellers who do not suffer high arches themselves are not ware of, is how we feel strain in our muscles when standing, even with arch supports. The high arched foot is happier with the heel lifted. When this is done, the person feels neutral muscle use when standing straight. I’ve been told by ‘specialists’ that I have low core strength and / or poor posture. This is not true. Experience has proven to me that when I’m in footwear with a slightly raised heel, I feel light, using no effort to stand straight, and I don’t become tired half as soon. Arch supports yes, but not without a slight heel raise.

high arches are beautiful, but ppl who have them do not necessarily have gifted feet. pleasing to look at but must wear orthodics to reduce joint pain.

I have very high arches. Shoes kill my feet. Oh the pain I had in the Air Force. Flip flops feel the best. I hate when the weather gets cold.

I was in the Air Force, too (though I assume you're American. I served in the IDF). I've received permission to walk with black tennis shoes instead of military boots after my feel turned purple...
