- (From Season 7, Episode 6 of Airline)
In this clip, two businessmen have missed check in for their flight and one of them will not take no for an answer.
If a meeting is so important you would think they would have planned their journey a little better.
Thoughts? - Zábava
My favorite saying.."Lack of planning on your part does not make an emergency on my part."
If the contract was so vital then why didn't he show up extra early to be absolutely sure he would be on time for the flight?
Yup I always get to the airport 3 or 4 hours ahead
because he's a self entitled tit!
He explained. He was in the queue but there were people there for another flight as well as those easyJet dicks didn't prioritise.
That's the bottom line isn't it? Plan for contingencies. An show up on time.
@@tiggersdad6878 having lived in London for decades I can honestly say that you never know if you're gonna be on time for anything. The whole transport system is a mess. You could be 2 hours ahead about 2 stops from Gatwick Airport and still be late cause some technical problems wasted 90mns of your journey.
Who shows up 20 minutes prior to take off and then are surprised they can’t board...
Him and Sharon
@@jtlovescodelyoko And maybe a karen
.
A self entitled person
She handled it like an absolute legend!!!!
I agree, she was superb
If he is such an important businessman, why is he flying a budget airline?
He's a pathetic wannabe
Excacttly im not even a business man but there's no way I would fly budget airlines if I can't afford to fly 1st class I just don't fly id rather take the bus even if it means staying over in a budget hotel...
He’s a cheapskate probably
Budget airline or not, hes not on time
@@Private-gy8nkBuses and trains aren’t an option over oceans. Or so I’ve heard.
Business men were the worst when I did this job. They all acted as though they were priority and deserved the rules to be pushed aside for them. They were massive bullies most of the time who would shout and threaten our jobs if we didn’t do as they told us. Thing is it wasn’t even down to us!
Meli Combs well done for doing such a job
He goes on and on about having a "contract to sign" that's his problem, if it was so important he would have made the time to get to the airport on time.
Yes I agree pencil pushers are the worst. They think the rules do not apply to them
I'm sure you've been in a situation where you've been working for 10 months on a contract with huge pressure from your CEO to get the contract signed with a Swiss company that will change your whole career for life, that will give your company the ability to employ more people, that will make you achieve yours and your company's goals. Oh, hold on, you haven't been in a situation where you come back from Liverpool because nothing in England ever works, and that because you haven't got the contact signed, your boss, under pressure, got you sacked, you then weren't able to pay off the mortgage, your wife left you and you ended up homeless. Extreme? Well, it happens everyday. Sometimes major events in your life are created by stupid silly little decisions made by anally retentive 'these are the rules' brain dead people who often don't understand that there are no such things as rules. That's why the Swiss bloke was trying to get through to a proper decision maker.
@@standafan4141
Oh, shut up. If the contract was so important, then he should have been early, let alone on-time!
2:28-2:31 That wry smile she has while she's on the phone is the true essence of "I told you so."
I love when someone says 'it's your problem, not mine' when it is literally their problem.
if i work there & they say that to me i tell them no that ur fault not my want to be rude then i can put a block on u that u cant fly no where cuz i can call my boss to make it happen if not turn it down
If the contract that he had to sign was so crucial, I would have been there a day early!
Yes Of course.
He is obviously a bad businessman.
Pisses me off when customers blame the clerks for something they didn’t do. Just disgusting and pathetic.
Who SHOULD he complain to ? She's the only public interface he can access - he's entitled to object and she failed to give a proper explanation - he totally could have made the flight - the doors were likely still open and boarding. "I'll make a call which will make no difference...will that make you happy?". she failed to have a 'can do' attitude - just computer says no.
@@jacklewis100 He was late and arrived after check in closed. What part do you not understand?
Sarah handled that so well. Well done Sarah!
I swear I’ve seen you commenting on big brother videos
When he said “check in” I thought he said “chicken” lol
Me too...
I was thinking what does chicken have to do with anything lol
Sounds like my mom preparing chicken for thanksgiving
I speak perfect French and English and yes he did say chicken ha ha
same
@@standafan4141 I have spoken French for 25 years. S'enregistrer is to check in.
Once the chicken is closed, then its ur problem not mine
🤣😆😆
No more chicken for you
Damn this guy cant even say check in properly
😂😂😂😂
Bawk bawk
“I’ll make the call and it won’t make any difference” yeah, you enjoy that, Sarah!! Love it! 😂😂
I loved that when he figured out that Sarah was the person in front of him, everyone went quiet
Am I the only person who turns up like 3 hours before my flight🤣🤣 imagine turning up 20 mins before your flight, entitled bastard
Nope I am at the airport the day b4 and hours early
I missed flight once as misread the time. Totally my fault. Never missed one since. I get there 2-3 hours before. With kids, three hours.
If the business deal were that important to him, he would have showed up on time like everyone else.
I'm Sarah.....lol well done girl !
I used to see that all the time in customer service, people would say "I want to see the manager" only to be told "I AM the manager" which usually shut them up.
Gotta love how people show up late for check in then blame the airline.
They can't get it through their thick heads than an airline can't delay 100+ passengers because one moron didn't give themselves enough time to get to the airport that would account for things like traffic & weather.
I LOVE how self-important all of these "businessmen" are. Noooo, your rules do not apply to ME!!!!
The idea that someone would try to make a break through airport security is insane. If you tried doing that now, you'd probably at least get arrested and possibly tasered
At least in the US.
Maybe if they gave the ticket agent the taxer the security line would be shorter and this would be a much better show. Everyone would win!
@@tedmulthauf7434 I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I understand the point you're making, and I'm afraid I don't know what a taxer is.
@@manuelvalencia9407 even in the UK you'd get arrested these days for trying to barge past security
In the UK, he'd have not got through to security without a valid ticket. And if he did try to get in without one, he would have been arrested.
But he’s a businessman??!! He has entirely different rules.
The rules with businessmen (in effect he comes across as a salesman not a businessman), is that as part of his job he will have been trained to think (and rightly), that rules are decided and put in place by decision makers and that those rules can also be changed by those same decision makers. So he's right trying to find out who calls the shots here, not this idiotic and robotic 'these are the rules' woman. I've had similar issues, and I usually sort them out talking to the right person. I'm sure if he'd managed to talk to that Stavios guy they would have let him in.
Ben Stevens I mean it’s not just a question of rules in airlines. The second that check in closes, the system generates a the amount of passengers and calculates a load sheet for the aircraft, which needs to be countersigned by the captain. If more passengers are checked in afterwards, they have to start the calculations afresh. There just isn’t time, especially 12 minutes before it leaves.
@@standafan4141 Yet these same businessmen expect those under them to follow the rules they set. Checkmate.
@@James-gk8ip wow, check the brains on James
‘I am Sarah!’ 🤣
The simple solution: Turn. Up. Early. Most check-ins open 2 hours before and some , 3. I’d rather be too early than too late.
a business man signing a major contract flying Easyjet 🤣🤣🤣
Sarah is cool. Hers is not an occupation that I personally would be well-suited to.
sarah handled this like a BOSS
At airports customers are not always right.. Planes are on a schedules and if you aren't there to check in on time, that's your fault. Bullying doesn't help.
I don't fly unless I have to. The first and last time I had to fly was in early March 2003, Dallas to Austin, then back, using Southwest.
Once the Chicken is closed - you're out of Cluck!
If he is such a n important business man, why is he flying a discount sirline? This man is a fraud.
I think Sarah is hot, the fact that she took no shit professionalism and beauty 😍
Sarah and the rest of the women here have the most adorable accents.
Irresponsibility has consequences
Any flight requires you to be 2 hours before the flight to allow time to check in and clear security.
So important that he gets there late on a budget airline! Priceless
Always amazes me how these businessmen allow these clips to be shown. Not exactly a great advertisment for them or their company. Sarah handled it like a boss, you tell him girl.
Possibly the production company gets round it by placing notices up at the entrance to the terminals warning that they are filming and that you consent to filming by entering the premises.
How can someone be so thick headed?
artisticmuse they’re businessmen that’s all
@@randolphclarke4674 because when you're in the business environment you know that rules can be changed and negotiated. It's not that he's thick, the issue here is that he has no power.
i can never understand people who turn up right before a plane is set to leave. growing up, we ALWAYS got to the airport a couple hours before just incase anything happened. Never missed a flight, never had to rush, never been late etc. Bad planning is literally all this is down to, and these people can never accept responsibility lmao
Business people are always entitled and never think rules apply to them.
If more of them got put in their place they would follow the rules. Bravo job for that airline representative
Nice job Sara!
Always fancied Sarah. Lovely.
Man, have you ever seen a good looking woman in your life?
Same she’s so hot
We are with you Sarah!!!!!!!!!
In every customer facing role I have worked in, there's always been #$&%$ like this man, but it's part of the job. What angered and offended me was when the management gave them what they demanded, however unreasonable. One customer even wrote to me afterwards saying, 'told you I'd get my own way eventually '. Now I work nights as a watchman.
Surely this guy has flown before, he should be aware of check in deadlines by now!. why was he late?
So he has an important contract to sign, yet he can't make it on time to check in!
Surely if you had such an important job you needed to do, I’m sure you’d make sure you would make sure you’d be on time
I'm ashamed for him cause i'm from Switzerland too but from the german part. He's from the french part of Switzerland and that's why he has such a strong accent.
stern13 from the German part eh, is it beautiful there by the alps?
It probably also accounts for his shitty, conceited attitude
Staff should be at least eye level with the customers. Then they wouldn’t feel so dominant.
Good point!
this just in in order to talk to an agent if you’re bigger then then you’re legs get cut off.
Give yourself more time than you THINK you will need. Like an extra hour at least. I don't trust Google maps when it says it will 'take me 34min to reach there'. I add in an extra 30 mins to give safe space.
Once the Chicken has closed as supposed to check in
Good job Sarah 👍
I business travel and am always at the check in at least an hour ahead of departure.
Maybe next time he should book a private jet. They'll depart on his schedule, most of the time
They need to bring this programme back or do a 'where are they now' episode
Flashing his Swiss passport as if it will impress the staff. Maybe he should get a Swiss watch to stop him being late 😛
God bless you !❤
This is the kind of thing you deal with everyday with the public. They all thinkk you are there to be their servants. Doesn't go.
Controversially, I'm with Swiss Business Guy as I too can't understand why easyJet would close the chicken either? 🐔
“Businessman” 😂😂
I love all these people that have arguments about getting and everyone else’s fault. It’s really simple, get there early.
I love it how some people think they can fly for free, then when they find they got rejected from their seat they complain about false advertisement from the airline. Basically the person finds out they can’t always fly for free.
Liverpool airport passenger *being rude and arrogant* leanne and Sarah "so you have chosen death" *boss music plays*
Oh no the chicken has closed😆😆😆
“Once the chicken closes” lmao
I was 28 days early for my flight. I'd booked the wrong month! They let me board though!
What a knob..I hope his business went uner there must be justice!!
You were too late, sir. Which one of those big words exceeds your capacity to grasp..?
It’s the small word he seems to not understand, the word being “No”
Yaaasss Sarah! 🙌💪
I love Sarah!
This was before you were able to check in and print your boarding pass remotely. So does this sort of confrontation now happen at the gate?
Get to the airport early. Simple!
You have to get there early at least with checked bags because they need time to load it
No big deal hopefully if it’s a frequent route just take the next flight ✈️ out. Good rule of thumb is be at the airport 90 minutes before departure minimum, even more if you have a lot of checked bags. There’s no way to know how long check in and security lines are.
This is why I’ve stopped flying low cost airlines. I don’t want to put up with the other people who use them.
Never have business dealings with a person who can't keep timing. He think he's entitled to his profession. What do these people think? Is it a taxi service for them to come in any time they want. Airlines have minimum 2 hours, check in time, if you think your business is very important, you would have left early.
I thought swiss people had a reputation for being punctual.
This is why some people need to learn anger management
Businessmen should be forced to walk around in nothing but polkadot boxers
Well done Sara.
Tony great to hear your voice bsldtick
When I have a business meeting, I turn up ridiculously early.
God Sarah is so gorgeous.
Pretty red Swiss passport.
Still doesn't give him a late pass.
He doesn’t deserve to have his contract signed ! The company he was going to do business with got a lucky escape!!
The Karen Species takes many forms.
Absolutely
Always leave so early that even if something happens, you still can make it in time. Once the subway system stopped when I needed to get to the airport. I didn't know what was going on or how long should it take to get it going again. It was pretty early in the morning and I didn't know if I could get a taxi or from where I could get one. I checked the distance to the airport and I calculated I can walk there with all my luggage and should still be there 30 min before check-in. It was about 1h 20min walk. So I opened the subway door and started walking towards the airport and made it. I was covered in sweat but I made it.
Check it closes 40 minutes ahead of take of. WOW. I miss the old days
I know this guy he sells Swiss clocks, they never tell the right time.
Mike Spilligan
😉😉😆😆😆😆😆
MY thoughts are: I hope the fool got banned for life from that airline. He was late for check in, the blame is squarely on him. I also hope he failed to get that contract signed and lost his job as a result of his disgusting behavior towards this staff member.
If you turn up late for a flight you don't get on it. If you leave early you will be on the flight. Whenever i have gone on a flight always get there 2 hours before. I have never missed a flight. This man was going to sign a contract if it was so important then he only has got him to blame for turning up to late. A bit more planning and he would have been on the flight. I don't think these people know how airlines work. If the airline waited for the passengers who are late they would miss the slot and charged. Luggage has to get to the plane which takes time. Lastly the load sheets have to be done luggage passenger cant keep changing just for people that decide to arrive late. Airlines are a lot different to buses which are more frequent.
And I thought I had to deal with a lot of assholes at work, but DAMN!
People who think the world rotates around them.
I couldnt do this job
You have to stand your ground with passengers and you will get threatend alot
well done sarah
I yelled at a check in agent when I missed a flight when I was 19. He was very calm. And then I had to rebook with him. He could've charged me for it but he didn't.
One would think that a Swiss, of all people, would look at his watch.
He takes no responsibility
I thought it was common knowledge to get there early? ESPECIALLY if they have important business. I understand he might have been in traffic or busy but for FUCK SAKES man! If it's THAT important be more organized! And telling her she is going to take responsibility? Really? Some people man.
My goodness it doesn't matter if you're a vital business contact to sign next time be at the airport on time don't take it out on her because you're incompetency don't know how to tell time
The arrogance of this man. Well done to Sarah.
How can she be held responsible for him turning up late serves him right
If he late for his business meeting he can say that he wasn’t late just a bit behind schedule
