Tim I just put the same basket on my Runner. For the price it cannot be beat, and I've owned them all. Before I installed mine I sanded everything and then painted all the pieces with Rustoleum black paint. I covered the joints with rubber sleeves and heat shrunk them to help prevent water from getting in the tubes, added a piece of rubber to the brackets where they touch the factory rack to prevent shifting, and then I replaced all the silver bolts (silver, really?) with black M6 screws. Just a quick suggestion; initially I put the rack brackets on like you did, but then did this instead: leave the large black plastic bracket like you have it, but then put the metal U-bolt on with the thread ends facing down; then put the metal bracket on the underside of your factory bar, over the thread ends, and put the threaded caps on. It's a touch harder to install this way but will keep a completely flat floor in your basket.
Hey Tim, seems like you’re missing a piece on the driver side. The passenger side has 2 side plates, driver side only has 1. I think that’s why it looks bowed over the front driver door.

Hey Cameron I waxed my roof the other day and noticed all the wing nut bolts that hold it down are definitely rusted. But that’s a simple hardware issue I can replace. The welds on the rack itself do show some surface rust too. But she’s still looking pretty good.
Not sure but plenty. I put 3 totes with camping gear not terribly heavy but I have cross bars mounted to the rails so it has those to rest on. You can put a lot 😎
Hi N N it’s painted but that video is just after installation. I removed it and turned it around then I stuck a beautiful TRD OFF ROAD decal on the side with nothing. Looks awesome. Check my other videos and you will see it. 😎
@@nnagai5863 no not really but if you like the way the rack looks buy it I paid $180 I think and it was easy to assemble shipped right to my front door. Make sure you have crossbars on your rack to connect it to. I put large totes on top and tie them down and they don’t move I really like it and I also like the overlanding appearance it gives the 4runner. 😎

Did you have any issue setting it towards the back instead of dead center? I have the same issue on my truck.

Good Eye! Unbelievable I did forget to put that plate on now I have to pretty much take everything off to get that on. OMGOSH!! DANG IT!!!
Thanks for the video. Only issue I see is those wing nuts are inside the cargo area. Wish they were flushed.

Those baskets really suits the 4Runner. See many 4runner's out there with that kinda basket, and it sure comes handy I believe.
