Jade seems to prove her point that going to uni doesn't necessarily mean you're smart

Jade seems to think that education doesn’t in any way shows that one is smarter than the other. Even when xiaxue pointed out that at least going to uni proves sth, Jade kept disagreeing. The irony is that she went through the system that provided that environment n resources that causes her to think deeper. Supposedly she had gone through another route, would she still have been this ‘smart’?

Jade kept disagreeing simply because she was not convinced by Xiaxue that uni really proves sth. This has nothing to do with her education.

I think she felt in a way she would be "bragging" if she said people who went to university were smart. Since she went to university and Xiaxue didn't. But Xiaxue is smart af.

Coming from a neighbourhood primary who ended up in ACS(I), twas a culture shock but in a good way. Crazy rich ACSians. Dangg. Haha. The experience and exposure was something no other schools could provide. Legit holistic education that prepares you not just for post secondary/uni life but lotsa impt life skills in general. Treasured lifetime camaraderie. Connections and network is a bonus. I did experience neighbourhood JC after. Dropout went to Poly. Did my degree in a private uni aft NS. But yeah the quality of educators and people you meet in neighbourhood JC, poly, private uni is totally of a different calibre compared to elite schools. Surprisingly, normal schools usually chase students for grades/KPI for teachers cant say the same for other elite schools ehem RI, Saints, SJI haha but ACS pushes you to be an all rounder. They encourage you to pursue whatever you are passionate about be it sports, music, arts, for eg and not just chase for grades. Grades are impt but not the end of world if you do badly. Something that is lacking in neighbourhood JC/Poly/private uni. Teachers in the latter just go through the motion on a daily basis. Also, theres also a lot of diff whenever you interact w someone from all-boys or all girls sch vs co-ed. Mindset, depth, train of thought, thinking outta box, the way we do things totally diff not just in studies but worklife or life in general. Yes im a normal sgrean dwelling in a HDB not a landed at bukit timah. Not from a rich fam. But when ive got my own kids i'd send them to ACS(I) or MGS depending if its a boy or girl haha cause of the holistic education. Plus IB diploma more useful than A levels or Poly dip. Take ya pick at any full scholarship to any ivy league uni in the world if straight As(45 pts). Plus be a poster boy for chicken essence brand LOL.

Sorry to be rude but there’s a spelling mistake at frame 3:12 - Money is spelt as Moeny in the frame.
