That is for average or below fixtures/toilets/sinks/vanity/tile. Just redid my bathroom and for new...plumbing, tile, vanity taps faucets shower head tile on floor and wall new bathtub, mirror, floor heating... it cost $10,000. I had my brother do the work and it was $2500 in labor. Total was around $13,000 and we did the demo not him. Took almost 2 weeks
Its more expensive. Normally Here in utah, people finishing 1800 Sq Foot (Average) basement within 25k.

You're really creative. It's amazing how completely different and modernized the bathrooms looked from it's original wild aquarium look. It would be cool if you could show the actual house plan drawings and what geometry changed in the drawing view.

My son just bought his first home. It needs work, but he got a great deal. And it has good bones. Both bathrooms, MUST be redone. Like the bathrooms in this video,they are back to back. Luckily, my son just needs to repair bad wood, and install new tub/shower and fixtures. But this video was sooooo beneficial! Thank you for sharing this information! I will tell him to watch it. He has been very concerned about the cost. And has been second guessing his decision. Great summary of costs, thank you! How did you decide the new layouts? Are there "golden distances" between items in a bathroom? Like the toilet needs to be x away from the vanity?
My pleasure! The center of the toilet needs to be at least 15” from the other fixtures. Other than that, you can pretty much decide on the layout yourself

It is an improvement and does look simple but stylish although my one gripe would be that the shower has one shower head that doesn't move and no hose, are people expected to stand on their hands in order to wash properly?!

If you’re hiring a contractor at these rates in a high cost living city you are getting scammed, I work for my bro who’s a general contractor and usually charges $15k-25k Los Angeles county

Your finish materials and design look great for a flipped house but I would suggest you get a better tile setter. I can see the unevenness / lip-age on the white subway tiles in both bathroom shower walls even from the distance of the camera angle. Do you do any waterproofing behind your tile work? Please do not let your contractor tile directly on drywall without any waterproofing. Your buyer will suffer from this. I understand that you need to make a profit but please don’t cut these corners.

I just got a quote from Newpro to replace my tub for $11,000. They're going to replace the toilet and double sink for a total $12,200. I'm wondering if it's a good deal.

When you flip a house within 1 year, it's considered ordinary income so it's taxed the same as a W2 income, but there are many deductions you can use as a business. I recommend you work with a CPA on your taxes to reduce your tax liabilities.
Why didn't you put the tub in master bath and standing shower in the other bath ?
Because usually people prefer showers in master and the tub in guest bath can be used by anyone in the house, usually for kids

You need to know Chinese millionaires that want to invest in the US and then know reliable cheap licensed contractors and architect when necessary. Then you need to do the sales and management. All she is explaining she learned from the contractors and while doing the transaction, she could do nothing with them, she has no idea of the actual work. I am sure that the workers are a bunch of Mexicans or Chinese guys.

Am I the only one who noticed the tile that was backwards and messed up the design of the floor
I spent only 6k on my bathroom total renovation. Still not done yet though. The reason it’s cheap because my friend who is a contractor is doing it for 2200 only. He is doing everything. But I hear 2 laborers to demolish the place and clean, for only 400 bucks. My material cost: 1000 for 60 inches double sink vanity with marble top installed i got on sale on home depot. 250 for 50 inches rectangular mirror. 160 for the light fixtures, 250 for shower pan, 600 for shower tiles, 400 for two faucets and 1 shower head including all the plumbing fixtures. 150 for new toilet. 650 for shower glass sliding door. 400 for miscellaneous stuff like moldings, plumbing stuff, drywalls, plasters, backerboard. 200 for someone to pick up my trashes for me.
Thanks for sharing! My usual bathroom remodel cost is about $8k, but this time is much higher because all the fixtures being relocated and framing work and one bathroom being built from scratch. It also depends on location, costs in the Bay Area are high
@@TransformRealEstate thanks for sharing your cost and yes I agree. Moving all the fixtures can cost a lot especially if they have to take out the sub floor and stuff. In my case, My house is a bi level structure. So if I were to move my fixtures or change it, they have to demolish part of my ceiling in the basement. My basement is fully furnished I didn’t wanna do that lol.

@@matthewgarcia9164 that’s just your imagination my guy. He did a great a job and did it in 2 weeks. That contractor was a friend of mine, that’s why labor is a lil bit cheap, he would have charged twice for another person. The job was done almost a yr ago. You see never assume shit, i can tell you’re one of those people who thinks they know a lot but they dont, it’s funny.
