- What exactly does the Bible teach about the morality of debt and wisdom in money matters. Does "owe no one anything" reflect a moral rule on what the Bible teaches about borrowing? Or is it really about something different? This and more in today's verse by verse Bible study through Romans 13:8-10. Continuing our study through the book of Romans and trying to learn how to think biblically about everything.

I bought land for $11000 cash. I spent $400 cash per month on building materials and built my home in 4 years while living in an airstream. I now have lived in my house debt free for 20 years.
I feel like I pretty much belong to your church 😂 I listen to your sermons often. Thank you Mike for posting them online, you really are God sent.
Not only did you answer my question about debt, but you helped to clarify how to love through the truth. Thank you for your message, God is good! 👍
Still watching videos from the years before I started watching you. I never get tired of hearing your messages. Thank you for having these for us to look back on. You are so in line with scripture. I love it.
Did Jesus have debt? Did Jesus have material things and possessions? Grow in His likeness.
I'm living proof that you can own a home without being in debt. So you're statement is false. Granted it's a mobile home, but it's a home.
Great message! The interpretation of debt from the Bible is something we are struggle with. The term debt applies to money, time and love, but humans tend to focus on money. Why is that?
Having lived in Taiwan for over 5 years, I'm very familiar with the "Buddhist" rite that Mike is speaking of. Generally, the burning of Ghost Money, as they call it, is done in large metal containers, often in front of family stores. The practice is really more of a sort of ancestor worship as they also offer up food (that the deceased was fond of) on folding card tables at the same time. I've even seen Chicken McNuggets offered. Of course, they eat the food themselves at the end of the day. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
I love the idea of "loving people out of a moral debt to others because God loved me first." Good stuff Mike!
Man this debt is the devil! 😭
Thank you Lord for this teaching! Please pray The Lords will would be done in my life. Thank you brothers and sisters.
Love the 789 joke! I love your teaching style. It is so easy to follow and learn.
