    Good morning Mr Diblasi I just want to say watching your videos gives me the opportunity to learn from a person that loves his craft I don’t do to much tile work myself but when I do I make sure I follow all your advice and my customers always comment and are mesmerized by attention to detail work and even though I don’t have too many years on under my belt tiling it shows by the work I do. And I always tell them about your channel.
    Keep up the good work 👍

    Sal i followed your vid on installing the corner floating bench. The client wants me to heat it also. Do I gouge out the Waterproof board to snake the wire up then seal it on the wall to get it to the bench OR surface mount the run up. Using subway style 3x12. 5/16 inch thick

    Sal, great work! I was looking everywhere in your old videos, but I couldn't find any info how you are dealing with dirty water, for example in the buckets where I see you are cleaning your tools and the mixer? Are you reusing the water or throw it away, somewhere?

    • @SalDiBlasi
      @SalDiBlasi  Před 2 lety +1

      Let the water settle over night, the sand and gunk will go to the bottom, just water on top that you can easily dispose of.

    Hi Sal,
    All of your videos and work expertise at top notch. A lot to learn from pro experienced tile installer.
    I do have one quick question. When you do install example floating corner bench quartz piece bit cement Durock boards are already installed on the walls. What would you suggest to install as a support or advice? Not really looking to remove cement Durock boards now but little of your advice would help a lot.
    I have quartz corner piece that I would be using for floating bench. Also installing wall subway tile 3" x 6"
    Should I install additional support under the quartz piece or just let it seat on the tiles, I'm afraid tiles won't hold it well.
    Thank you in advance!

    Love your videos. I've seen your videos where you do this with Kerdi Fix. When you're saying "sealant" here, were you just using Hydroban sealant to glue the cleats to the wall board?

    Did you add blocking behind the corner so you can screw the cleats into wood? I can't see how the Hydroban board alone is strong enough to support a person's weight, especially if they were to sit and lean forward.

    • @SalDiBlasi
      @SalDiBlasi  Před rokem +1

      The adhesive once dry is extremely strong. The screws are just to hold it in place while the adhesive dries. It will hold my weight no problem.

    What brand/ type of blue tape do you use? I know its a minor thing but I have been using lots of painters tape of high quality but want to also buy a wider good quality tape like the type you use for holding things together while they dry and prep work.
