Thank you for tuning in! It's been a wild couple of weeks between a big product drop, and some very shaky/unreliable internet. I'm a lil burnt out, as may be evident in this video, but rest assured, I am very happy to be back at it! I love sharing these tutorials with all of you!
This week I go over start to finish how to tool a new pattern I have available on my website, you can find it here:
    www.dadhands.c...
My work and available pieces can be found at: www.dadhands.ca I will be regularly adding tooling patterns, as have a brand new Leather Marbling guide available!
Check out my instagram to stay up to date on announcements: / dad.hands
As always, thank you for following along, and happy crafting!

We need more carving content in the leather world, let’s not lie. Good work!

Brilliant stuff as always! Also the shop looks fantastic, your hard work has paid off.
I'm working on a baguette at the moment, I'll tag you on Instragram when I'm done 😊
Thanks for the videos, I love watching them while having my dinner on a Friday, it fuels me up to get up after and do more work on whatever project I've got going.🤘

Have you tried the yoke style watts knife? I have one but the pen style you use looks more agile so I have one on the way. If you have tried both it looks like you prefer the pen. Also he has two choices of blade, one a bit thicker than the other. If you have tried both which do you prefer?

I haven’t tried his yolked one, no. I have a couple other yolked knives, but I prefer the yolkless. I haven’t tried the thicker blade either, I prefer a thinner blade for the style of work I do.

Can you tool on mushroom leather?

I think it is extremely unlikely. Mushroom/vegan leathers are more plastic, resin and fillers than they are actually leather. I’m sure you could heat stamp on them, but I personally do not think tooling would be possible.

What's the name of your knife? I know you said it once before. I looked for something like it but can't find it.

It’s called a yolkless swivel knife.
