I've owned the 100 integrated for two years, not the newer Signature and no built-in DAC. Excellent sound for the cost ( $1400CDN ), by far the best sounding lower priced amp I'm owned in 50 years of playing around with this stuff.
Greetings from France! One of my friends amp with Triangle Comète. Pretty damn good and even WOW for guitar. Very nice company that have a huge following.
Thanks Phil, another great review. I too had vaguely heard of Atoll, so it's good to have an insight on alternative brands. I try to be loyal to British brands when I can but budget limitations for many does sometimes require us to look for less expensive alternatives. Oh and by the way the third input on the Atoll is TU for tuner not TV.

Read a few comments on forums saying this model is sweetspot in Atoll range. Looks nice in black too

As always by the way 😉 you mentioned that atoll reminds you exposure 2510, but in a smaller scale, meaning that exposure is better in all aspects with the same character of sound. I’m looking for something to upgrade from my current marantz pm7000n. And was looking on Atoll in100 in200. Would it be better for me to look at exposure 2510?
I have Roksan K3 Power Amp and highly sensitive Klipsch RP8000F. Combo sounds great at any volume. Topping D30 as DAC connected with PC over USB.
Nice comparison Phil. What is the difference in sonic signature between the Rokasan K3 and the Exposure 2510, which I remember you reviewing recently?
Looks like an interesting amp. Do you think it sounds better than the exposure at low volume or does that work equally well for low level listening?

TU tuner TA tape, I would assume.
On the back is not a volume button, but an Bluetooth antenna.
Does it provide body and presence when playing rock or pop music? Or is it one of those polite amps that is good for acoustic music?

On this Atoll, did you detect any hiss or residual transformer noise? It looks promising.
I have 2 off them and they are almost silent, only when you put your ear on the case you could hear the transformers 😊
I have both the IN100 and IN200 and both with the 'tuning' from AVS Oymann (Germany), by switching some parts (not to expensive) these amps reach a much higher level. The IN100 is, while cheaper, by far my favorite. Price/quality is 10/10 with Atoll 👍

I also have this amp at home, what they replaced at AVS and about how much it cost you ?
@@gogo-fk1lu they isolate the board and transformers from the chassis with dampening material, they changed the capacitors to Mundorf 8200uf, they place 2 ESA Claritycaps, and some other small parts, the price is around 400€ including shipment. You can find most info on their website 😉 (all reviews are also very positive)

@@gogo-fk1lu It took about 2 weeks but it is best to take contact before by mail 👍 I would describe the sound after the tuning more powerfull, fuller and MUCH more open..i think the Claritycaps have these effect. Even with very low listening level the sound is dynamic. The difference is quite big with the IN100, I expected the same for the IN200 but here the difference is more subtle. I hope this helps 👍

Atoll does crop up quite a bit in the hifi magazines , with usually favourable reports . I notice you have a copy of hifi new under the coffee table . I’m in the process of wounding to cancel my subscription , because it just seems to concentrate on the really high end which is becoming a bit fanciful in my opinion Best wishes and kind regards 😀👍👍👍

I already had the atoll in 100, arcam sa20 and now the Roksan. I love the Roksan because it's the better between the 3. His song is dynamic and it feel more Real! Atoll is to much bright and not Real. The Roksan IS more alive there are more nuances and with métallic instruments you heard more nuances. I sold the atoll and arcam...
Roksan is brand not amplifier. And Atoll in100 is not bright thats for sure.
My sansui AU 717 (special) would bury them both🌚
The Sansui is a piece of crap in comparison.
This guy fumbles with too much digression and repetition. He needs an education.
