Which versions of AS support Gemini?
I miss Chet & Romain 😅
Google need to create digital copies of them, so they could present on IO for eternity.

Thank you for this. They haven't utilised CZcams's chapter feature
Thanks
Thanks bro for saving time.
You should use AI to add chapters
they want people to watch the whole video not snippets 😂It would decrease revenue
@@21Kikoshi youtube paying google 💀💀💀
"We want you to think in panes..." I'm an Android Developer, all I think of is pain.
But now we can have multiple pains at the same time!
The announcements are nice. But wow. The corporate feel of this video is so strong and uninspiring. People just reading off teleprompters with a smile. I'd have much preferred an article.
Rather a dull speech than a cringy goofy presentation.
Going straight to the point
Extremely sanitized, no emotion, straightforward. Death by PowerPoint. The thrill is gone.
We can finally say goodbye to the ugly black status bar and navigation bar that Android should have done since Lollipop.
You could do this by yourself, they just pushing all apps to this by default. Also, this may cause some issues if u're not ready
No excitments from the audience
They're all worn out from the AI barrage from day 1 of I/O.
Android reached its prime in 2016 and it's been just getting older at this point. Do we really need more camera APIs??
"let's start with whats new in AI" *everyone moans*
They have a mandate from up high to stick it everywhere 😫
Where's Chet Haase and Romain Guy?
Chet is left Google recently
Romain was cute
Hello, any word about Desktop Mode on Android 15? There is a rumour that u can run ChromeOS on Android...
Sorry but for reading a script, I think Gemini could have done a better job
Thank for sharing 👍
Found my device often got battery drain very quickly to low % while the location features on with map...., Does new hardware "pixel 8 or upcoming pixel 9" & software have better tweaking in low power consumption for longer single per charge ?
They are devoloping some interesting things
Kotlin Multiplatform - I think Gemini will soon be able to create an xcode project from Android code. Onclick port: Looking forward to that..
✨️ Android power! 💪
10:30 “Widgets have been around since Android 4.2”? Were the widgets I saw on the G1 and Droid 1 hallucinations??¡

Was Gemini trained by Remotask/Outlier people?
Not any major update, very dissatisfied with android 15. I was expecting many design changes with consistency with usability.
Android still has really boring animations and transitions, we still have no native Icon Pack support, still can't hide apps or change their icons incase you want to keep some apps private. Still jittery scrolling. material UI is becoming the most boring UI Android has ever had. It all looks unpolished and flat. I know Apple made everyone copy the cartoony flat style, but it's getting boring. Look at the beautiful icons in the play story that enrich the UI, I wish ya'l would make it possible for use to get those themes like on Samsung or custom launchers. Also please let the newest notification rise on top. I don't understand nor can I find the newest notification because it's so hidden, there's no indicator that says ''hey here's the newest message''. Please work on that
Material design is lit and Apple copied it from Google
@@Jan7727 Google copied it from Apple lol, I'm team Android but Apple brought the cartoony flat UI and I find it ugly. I want icons with more depth
"Think in terms of pain"... I already do
Excelente sistema completo para el Android, espero que funcione todos los Android
Let me guess, Gemini is locked behind Play Integrity.
21:45 I thought that was a conspiracy
For the love of god.. fix the delayed notifications issue plaguing Android.
well, I hope that we control which app can access withh AI since AI technology is all around the system
If you say gen ai often enough maybe users will start caring eventually. Good luck
36:10 This is much bigger than I though
AI....
one AI talking to another AI.
Thanks, Google!
Parece apresentação de trabalho de escola hahaha
It's good if you force apps to have transparent status bar and navigation bar, so apps can take advantage of the full screen and look more aesthetic like in iphone. You should also work on making android able to keep many apps in the background like ios and allow social media to use the real camera so photos and videos look as good as they do on iphone but the most important thing; remove the 20 testers feature, that's so bad especially for indie developers as it's hard to get so many people to try the app, review them manually instead like ios so you can guarantee maximum quality
Android does allow multiple apps to stay alive in the background, provided you have an adequately strong device.
bring back Chet & Romain
Still waiting for jetpack for java
That’s probably not coming
AWESOME
ok
Hi
You need to bring Samsung on stage. Android is just Samsung at this point.
Adaptive is pointless because foldables are going to be dead in 2 years
they've been around for 5 years, why would they exticnt in 2?
