1930s German ASTRA L mechanical calculator

A barn find, needed some oil and exercise. It seems to be early production, as the serial number reads 002848. I did not bother to see if the electric motor functions. Looking at the mechanics, it should activate every time you press the + key. There is a small lever under the + key to toggle function between a hand crank and an electric motor.

Probably not because there are some in near factory condition still coing around. I might go into how the mechanics in there work (memory, memory reset, backspace, etc) but it is near impossible to get camera in there to show it. I could just make an autopsy...
I am currently restoring a УДГ-Н-160 dividing head though. So stay posted!
