I work at papa John’s. The sauce on this particular pizza is regular sauce mixed with Alfredo sauce and then called creamy tomato.

I never tried papa johns before and is good?
As someone who used to work for Papa Johns last year, the New York crust is nothing more than a large dough stretched out to an extra large dough (14" dough stretched to a 16" pizza") and the sauce and toppings brought out to the edge of the pizza more, and the cheese ratio is a little less. Nonetheless, I still prefer it over the standard pizza.

I think you nailed it on this review. I literally was eating this from Papa John's when your video popped up. 😀 It's not that thin (although it is floppy), the sauce is different (not my favorite but certainly fine), the pepperoni is crisp and tasty... if I was having a party this is an easy choice to feed a lot of people as it's a ton of food for not much money, but I doubt I'll get it again for myself. It's just fine. 8 is a perfect score for it. Nothing wrong, nothing earth-shattering.

For anyone familiar with papa johns this isn't a "thin crust" that you would get if you ordered a thin crust pizza. It's a 14" dough that gets stretched out to a 16" and so it's thinner. Just pointing that out because it is a different taste and texture than what we use for thin crust pizzas

I worked at Pizza Hut when they debuted the Big New Yorker and we used the Stuffed Crust sweet sauce. The regular stuff didn't get caramelized on the edges and was a lot thicker in consistency, so on a thin dough like that the toppings would sometimes slide right off.

Your right! The sauce on the paparoni pizza IS sweet. I used to live in Ohio but now in South Dakota. The East coast coast has sweeter sauce than the Midwest pizza. The sauce here is on the salty side. Thank-you for this review and mentioning the slight sweetness of the sauce. Always a fan of you!

You'll notice they removed the apostrophe in "John's" to make it the plural of toilet "johns." I'm glad the brand got on board with the quality of their product, even though it's priced even higher.
About 10-12 years ago papa John's made the absolute worst pizza I've ever had by far, including frozen. I never went back.
@zombieturds I used to despise Papa John's way back when, but nowadays it's pretty damn good compared to Domino's or Pizza Hut.

I'm not nearly as much of a pepperoni pizza fan as my husband, but I enjoy crispy pepperoni a lot better than the limp, greasy alternative. (Bacon's the same way -- it's best if it's crispy.)
