I love how I predicted cross to win. I said wright had no chance and mvg wouldnt win. I said clayton had an outside chance but my guess was cross I'm quite proud of that
I did too as he was bang in form and said the week before Ime gona win a big one soon after losing a final to MVG , and the form players nearly always win or get close . Everyone said I was mad but had last laugh 👍
@@darrenleejones3516 yes I said a lot of players I believed would win because I like them like Thornton and chisnall but I said my real threat to win it was rob cross and knew mvg and cross werent gonna win because wright had gallstones and was struggling a bit. And mvg had back injuries before that and always struggle to defend his title. I didnt really follow the pro tour so I had no idea about him at the time but I saw him at the grand slam when he played an epic quarter final with mvg and then I knew he was a good player.

Cross beating Taylor wasn't a shock in the context of that tournament, Cross played consistently well throughout whereas Taylor didn't and didnt necessarily have to. I'm pretty sure Cross was even the favourite going into that match.
What about Anderson and Wright getting chinned in World Pairs not so long ago!? They were 80 to 1 *on*, if I remember correctly...!!
