Congratulations lovely and thank you for this helpful video!! I have a Tokyo invite audition coming up and I’m wondering two things!
1. Is the acting/improv round quite difficult and would I need a lot of knowledge on each princess incase I’m given a character I’m not to familiar with?
2. Did they take any photos of you during the audition. I’m wondering what’s best with my hair and makeup and I think it depends if they’re taking photos from certain angles of my face haha!!

1. You do not need a lot of knowledge on the characters beyond the basics, though of course it will help. It’s a FAST interaction and you will receive a character info sheet before you do improv to help you with their movements & basic story. I would just try to do a simple physical activity like spinning or curtsey, fill in the blank for the character, because the Japanese guests can’t understand English very well
2. Yes they do take photos if you get to a certain point in the audition. I wouldn’t worry about your hair though beyond making it compliment your face shape

English. There may be Japanese phrases here and there but mostly English

I would practice voices, movement, facial expressions. Do something with physical movement because Japanese guests won’t understand what you are saying and that is reflected in the audition.
“___ was teaching me how to ___, shall I show/teach you too?” is an easy prompt for improv ideas. I hope this helps!

How different was the Disney World callback from the Tokyo Disney one?
Thank you so much! 🥰 To be honest it was extremely different - the WDW callback was just a fitting and reading with no cut. Tokyo was the dance, cut, etc. as described. Hope that helps answer your question and thanks so much again 🫶✨
@@ImagineGrace Thank you!! I have another question lol. When you're submitting the photos they ask for, can you also have a normal headshot uploaded to your profile or should it only be the pictures they ask for?
@@kathrynwevley673 no worries! Yes I usually had a few other pictures on my profile in addition to the ones they request. Just make sure you really really like any photos you upload though and don’t upload multiple versions and delete, because once you upload them I’ve heard they stay there even if you delete them. Hope that helps! 🫶✨🩷
@@ImagineGrace Thank you for letting me pick your brain! Do you know of a way to permanently delete pictures from your profile? I unfortunately have already uploaded a few versions and deleted them. Have you heard of having past pictures being a problem for others or do you think it's fine? Thank you again for your help!! 💓
@@kathrynwevley673 one time I was able to get a glitch on my check in page and I saw photos from years back that I was able to delete! But it was a glitch so I have no idea if they were actually deleted or how to get back to that page. It shouldn't be a problem unless you really dislike the photos you previously uploaded. If that is the case, you can always create a fresh profile for the next audition using a nickname and different email or something! A few duplicates shouldn't be a problem

Congratulations! I have always wanted to audition for Disney but I have a gap between my 2 front teeth and wondered if this would affect me getting a contract. Any idea? Thanks
Thanks so much! :) I am wishing you all the best of luck on auditioning if it’s something you decide to do. I know someone on my contract with the same who just wears fake teeth hahaha but there are many types of roles that it wouldn’t matter like dancer, fur characters, singers etc. so it depends on the role you are looking for 🫶 hope that helps! 🥰

@@celiagrace7517 thank you so much! Unfortunately no 😭 he could in Shang hai or Hong Kong. Tokyo only allows guests to stay for a short period of time in the provided housing even if they are a spouse. Some people go the route of finding and paying for alternative housing so their partner can be with them the whole year.
