    In 2022 the Bengals had the hardest schedule in the league and they won 12 games. Should have been 13 but the Bills game got canceled. In 2023 they had a historically difficult schedule. Last year the Bengals played 11 playoff teams and 14 teams that finished above .500. That’s insane. This year they have the 17th most difficult schedule. A much more favorable schedule. I can see the Bengals winning 14 games this year.

      @@TheBottomLineView A defense, no matter how good it is, can’t always save a team if their offense is horrific. My team just went 2-15 and we had a good defense. We had an excellent d-line, were amazing against the pass, were able to shut down top receivers, and we still went 2-15 because our offense was so pitiful. Is the Patriots offense as bad as the Panthers offense last year? Probably not. But Drake Maye is very raw, he might not play a lot this year and even if he does, he might need a couple years to develop. His weapons aren’t great and his line is very suspect. I’m sorry, but you have a rough season incoming.

      @DumbAndDumberMC Před měsícem +2

      @@TheBottomLineView yes you absolutely can. Carolina’s defense was only punished by stats because our offense was never on the field; not to mention all of the injuries. Plus what was the biggest weakness of our defense? We couldn’t get enough pressure on the QB. Who on the Pats is going to be tearing up the QB? If Judon is healthy, great. Who’s coming from the opposite side? With all that taken into account plus the schedule the Pats win 4 games. I assume most of your time watching football has spent been the Pats dominate the league for years but that’s over now and the truth is is that for at least the next couple years the Pats are going to be bad. This is what it feels like to be bad. Almost every fanbase outside of the Pats (until last season) has experienced it somewhat recently. And yeah, it stinks. But the key to dealing with it is accepting it.

    Mitch, Nick Chubb's recovery is ahead of schedule he is working out like he always has and he's looking like he may be able to start in September. Deshaun Watson is also ahead of schedule and I watched all of the Browns OTA's he is looking really good out there with his arm talent plus his footwork is really good. He has been accurate and he has thrown the long ball seemingly with ease with no signs of any lingering effects of the shoulder injury. If you get the time I recommend you check out the Browns OTAs and their mandatory mini camp. Also as a heads up Watson is working with a trainer in Florida on his game so I will tell you what I believe, These guys are driven to get there and they are putting in the hard work to accomplish that goal and Watson appears to be lazer focused and I believe he wants to put all of this talk to bed! I'm excited for this season to get started because I truly believe it is going to be the best season for the Browns since the 60's they're hungry and they're coming for the Superbowl! Mark my words as an experienced NFL fan this is the year Cleveland takes down the Chiefs and wins their first ever Superbowl!

    Crazy saints take..
    According to league record, Saints ranked 13th-19th (9-8 teams). They got better in all 3 levels in the defense and improved their pass rush. Completely new offense staff, OC, o-line coach, QB coach. Running a similar scheme to Texans, niners, dolphins, rams. Watch a saints drive from last year early in the season and later in season. They used motion and play action more. To switch to an offense where that is the basis, it’s going to benefit both Derek Carr and kamara, who struggled last year, although the stats would say they did decently considering a bad OC and play calling. This Defense allowed the 8th least amount of points to opponents and averaged 23 points a game. Give some respect to a team who had the same record as their division winner and outplayed them at their home. (when offense started clicking) First game against Tampa was the game right after packers comeback when Derek Carr tore his AC joint in throwing shoulder, 17-0 to start the 4th quarter packers won 17-18. That possible win puts Saints in playoffs and double digit wins in league record rank of 12-10. There is no way the Saints regress. Need to move them up

    I am a Commanders fan. In terms of your points:
    1. I am naturally higher on Jayden Daniels than you as a Commanders fan. Maybe you are right, maybe I am right, but we won't really find out until the season starts..
    2. I don't think Eric Bieniemy to Kliff Kingsbury is a downgrade. I see it as an upgrade. I thought Bieniemy did a poor job at breaking in a green QB in Howell. We were first in the NFL with 636 pass attempts (the Chiefs where Bieniemy came from were second at 635) and dead last (32nd) in rush attempts (359 attempts). We were 29th out of 32 teams in use of presnap motion on pass plays at (where the presnap motion either forces the defense to give away their defense or if they don't give away their defense then you can create an immediate read where you receiver has leverage and you only have to read the leverage) at 12.7% (only the Cardinals, Browns, and Eagles were lower). So he called a ton of pass plays despite having a bad O-Line, didn't use enough easy buttons through things like presnap motion. Sure his play calls may have had answers in them, but if we didn't use presnap motion to force the defense to give away their defense, it means Howell had to do post snap processing to figure out the defense if the defense disguised their defense, which they did because they knew we wouldn't use much pre-snap motion to create leverage that would force the defense to adjust presnap. The idea way to break in a rookie is maybe have them throw 25 times per game on average (instead of the 38 we lead the league with) and have a number of screens, RPO'S, shovel passes, and quick leverage reads using motion, so that only maybe 10 dropback per game require reading the defense. Its not that Bieniemy called inherently terrible plays its that he did a poor job breaking in a young QB with a weak O-Line. If we threw 38 times a game and say 22 or 23 of them require an inexperienced QB to read the defense post-snap that is not a recipe for success in most situations. Almost guarantee you Kingsbury is better at using the run game and presnap motion to ease the pressure off of Daniels (it helps that on the QB option the defense has to account for Daniels) but even if Bieniemy had that advantage I doubt he uses it effectively. Bieniemy wants to throw the ball.
    3. I do agree that Dan Quinn is a better defensive coordinator than Del Rio, but while they are running Quinn's defense he won't be calling the defensive plays. Joe Whitt will call the plays. I also agree it will be interesting to see how Quinn and Whitt design the defense for this teams personnel. Del Rio tended to be vanilla on the D-Line and complex on the coverage calls. My understanding is Quinn and Whitt are likely more complex on the defensive front calls and less complex on coverage calls, at least that what the beat reporters are hinting at, but we'll see if it plays out like that. I disagree that the personnel won't let him play man coverage, but if you narrowed that statement down to the defensive won't let him play press or tight man coverage I would probably agree. Michael Davis is the only physical corner on the team for press coverage. Both Emmanuel Forbes and Benjamin St. Juste are okay in off man coverage as they are both agile and fairly long, but they both lack physicality, and in Forbes case, he really lacks physicality.
    4. I agree that the O-Line is pretty weak. I think they were slightly better last year than the raw numbers where they gave were tied for the second most sacks allowed with the Panthers (they gave up 65 sacks, the Giants gave up a whooping 20 more sacks, 85 sacks, despite having 118 less pass plays--636-518), but in terms of sack rate per pass attempt they were in the mid-20's and while they didn't run a lot they were in the top half of the NFL in rush yards per attempt (their 4.4 yards per carry was 7th in the NFL)--why Bieniemy didn run more on 1st and 2nd down is a bit of a mystery. Granted that ypc goes down some if we did, but it would have helped Howell a lot. I am guessing the O-Line is somewhere in the mid-20's.

    I'm so sick of the Bengals. The Browns have more talent overall. The QB is the only question. I'm hoping Watson can get back to his potential. The Browns made Burrow look like a fool last year in week 1. I have the Browns ahead of the Bengals, once again.

      “Once again” lol you mean…one season where the browns actually finished above cinci in the division and then proceeded to get shellacked and embarrassed by a rookie QB and sent home packing. One and done. Compared to cinci who has more division titles in the last 3 seasons than Cleveland has since the AFC north’s origin. Man some humble pie is gonna have a bitter taste for you this season😂

      @@BillGraper In what world? If Burrow stays healthy we don’t have a worse result than playing in the AFC title game. You’re shittin your britches and think last season is the standard simply because it was one season the browns were basement dwellers. Cinci finished last in the division and still went 9-8…when the browns finish last in the division…they don’t win a game.. Cleveland…no division titles, no conference titles, no SB appearances, and one of 2 teams to have a winless record in NFL history. If Burrow stays healthy…you’ll be coping and watching us yet again play KC in the conference title game.

And I don't think people realize how important tyler Boyd was to that offense he's the guy burrow went to when chase and Higgins were doubleteamed. The bengals run d was awful last year and losing dj reader isn't going to help that their secondary was very mid last year and losing chidobe awuzie their best corner is only going to make it worse. I'm still not sold on that offensive line either even with the drafting of amarius mims.Mims. their run game is not going to be good this year after losing Mixon. + they've been very injury prone the last few seasons so who's saying that trend won't countinue
