Theme Show - CIRQUE DU SOLEIL : LA NOUBA (arranged by JAY DAWSON) DISTORTED REVE ROUGE A LA LUNE URBAN 管你樂不樂Instagram: / taiwan_marching_band 管你樂不樂Facebook: / taiwan.marchingband
Best show EVER to be a drum major for. It was so fun conducting my band through these amazing songs. If you're in band now, enjoy it while it lasts. It ends too soon. CLASS OF 2012
Agreed! Marched it my junior (this past season) and it doesn't even compare to the other shows I marched. It was tough for us clarinets and flutes in A La Lune because of the fingerings. We wanted to kill ourselves! Lol
Im gonna feel old after seeing the comments, but i did this show my junior year in high school (2006, 16 years ago) and loved it. Just came back to enjoy the music
Alissa lol at least you don't have a tuba solo like us tubas for urban , it was hard for me to learn by my self But now I got it down and am ready for Padgent of the bands
This was our 2015 marching show and we did all of the songs. It was my first marching season EVER and I was the best color guard freshman. It was the best experience ever, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE PIECES FOR A MARCHING BAND SHOW!!! The most fun ones are Distorted and Urban!!
We did this show back in 2012 during my Freshman year. So many wonderful memories :). I never expected to love marching band as much as I did. I miss it :(.
I was in colorguard in my high school’s marching band my sophomore year (fall of 2005) and we performed these songs. Holy crap does this bring back some great memories. Band camp was brutal but it was all worth it in the end. I loved performing. I would have stayed in marching band but unfortunately the in following years my schedule got too hectic. Listening to this takes me right back to the best school year of my life!! I miss those days!!!
Played this my senior year in high school in 06’ What a great summer that was, drilling the songs and movements on a parking lot preparing for the dozen or so performances through the season. Easily my best memories of marching band come from seeing this show come together about a week before the first football game. There is something immensely satisfying about struggling at first then having these songs come out strong and precise.
I love this show so much. My band played this back in 2013 and we won States & Nationals in Group 1A that year. I think it was the best show we had ever had. I definitely recommend it!
I'm from Belen high School NM. and I'm in marching band and for our marching season of 2015 this is our show music , I play the tuba and I love this show its my favorite yet .
This was our school's field show last year and then last summer when we took our band trip to Disneyworld we got to see La Nouba! This will always have memories behind it.
My first show. Truly showed me all of the wonders marching band had to offer. The music was beautiful yet challenging especially to a freshman me who was still fairly new to flute and never played anything of this level before. Definitely wasn’t used to marching it either haha. Still love hearing the music and reminiscing over the memories connected with it. I’ll never forget my time in band and the magic this show and music in general has for me.
This season was the best, these songs made our show. We love it and can never get sick of it. As a Guard and Marching Baritone, I can say this was fun yet challenging (:
My band only had a la lune and urban for this year's show. They got mixed with Moulin Rouge Opener and One Day I'll Fly Away from the movie Moulin Rouge. I wish we'd had the other two songs on this show too
My band is playing this this weekend for competition. I can't wait to blow the judges away. My fellow Senior trumpet and I have the duet in Reve Rouge. I am so ready for this! :D
We played this show this year and i miss it do much now. It's a great show and we got a superior rating with it! I'm so happy we did this show for my freshman year, btw I'm colorguard #guardswag
I'm in guard too! And this brings back memories from last year (I wasn't in guard at the time, but my ex was an alto sax so I went to all of his competitions). They did this performance. It's pretty much what inspired me to be in guard! This year we're doing Jekyll and Hyde.
I love the bass drum splits in the starting piece of this show but we had three freshmen drummers that just never got them down. I wish I could play this again.
My favorite show our HS band ever did, such fond memories. It seemed like the 2004 - 2005 year was the best for our band. Superiors all year, then the following school year Hurricane Katrina and Rita hit and the band was never the same.
Liam the Marching Band Guy This song is a great way to end the years (at least for high school) Senior year, where "one more time" becomes "one last time". I'm a senior as well and I know I'll miss all the times I got to spend with my extended family.
Best show EVER to be a drum major for. It was so fun conducting my band through these amazing songs. If you're in band now, enjoy it while it lasts. It ends too soon. CLASS OF 2012
Agreeed def enjoyed conducting this
Girl SAME!!!!
Drum Major my senior year (class of 2019) made me cry... Every. single. time. If I could go back and do it all again I would pay any price.
I LOVED conducting this show! So many great opportunities to add some cool things into it. Definitely one to miss! (Class of 2022)

I performed this entire arrangement my freshman year. It still stands as my number one favorite. Absolutely wonderful show. love love love.
me too!
i did this freshman year and it has been my favorite arrangement ever so far! :D
Agreed! Marched it my junior (this past season) and it doesn't even compare to the other shows I marched. It was tough for us clarinets and flutes in A La Lune because of the fingerings. We wanted to kill ourselves! Lol
I played this during my seventh grade year. ☺
How did it go
this might be a bit late but I had this arrangement too my freshman year! It was so good
distorted | 0:00
reve rouge | 2:23
a la lune | 4:00
urban | 6:08
Can everyone who has done this show agree that a la lune is the hardest
This was my first show as a freshman. I LOVED playing the percussion parts, so much fun!!
Same, marching band freshman year 🥁
this year is my first year as a freshman, and this is the show i have to play, on monday i have to go to camp for it lmao
Im gonna feel old after seeing the comments, but i did this show my junior year in high school (2006, 16 years ago) and loved it. Just came back to enjoy the music

@Omari Mordechai Thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service =) Appreciate it!!
I'm like our only pit member and have to play the solo at 6:56. I'm so nervous ahhh. But I love this show.
I know your feel. same here
DUDE SAME OMG
BUT WHY DID THEY PUT PIT AT AN ANGLE....THAT MADE IT HARD TO SEE DANIEL OR CHRIS
Alissa lol at least you don't have a tuba solo like us tubas for urban , it was hard for me to learn by my self But now I got it down and am ready for Padgent of the bands
Front ensemble has the same solo Colleen ask for a mallet copy
