The fact that he was distracted earlier in the film with the gorgeous woman in the Bahamas playing poker. He wanted Eva Green's character to do the same tactic and he still got distracted. Great writing and screenplay!
Because she entered from the opposite way she was supposed to...making sure it was only him that saw her approach. After so many viewings I see that move for what it was finally.

Agree. Such a high action-filled classic Bond movie. The episode with poisoning is absolute masterpiece. Then there is parkour episode at the beginning. I mean everything is just high-life living-on-the-edge villain-superhero ageless piece
Probably one of the few times I laughed out loud during a movie with my partner wondering why. He's talking about a simple drink with many extra add-ons knowing he's winding Le Chiffre up.
And taken straight from the original book by Ian Fleming 60 years ago. Wonderful adherence to the source material. This is a masterpiece in how to properly adapt older works to modern times.

@@santiagocarreno5881 he’s alluding to the generality that people tend to play more poorly when drunk. So lechiffre should want the players to drink…a lot
Man I couldn’t figure out what was going on after looking up this drink. In the version of Casino Royale I’m watching at this very moment, Bond CLEARLY says “3 measures of Vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet, shaken over ice, and then add a thin slice of lemon peel.” After I Googled it, that’s when I saw the 3 Gordens, 1 Vodka, etc. from the books and this clip. 2 completely different versions of the movie. I will have to try both and form my own opinion of which is better 😉
half the people at that table are still watching you...... champagne... What only half? It's like flight of the conchords when they sing you're so beautiful... you could be a part-time model... lol
Craig is far and away my favorite Bond; but like far, far and away; raw, crude, extremely virile and pragmatic; doesn't talk much, and when he does he's very direct, but is as good as it gets in the field. I have never been much of a fan of the 'aristrocratic' style of Brosnan or Moore, and even less of the sorta cheesy-pompous stlye of Connery.
I have to agree but also say Timothy Dalton is a mixture of Golden Eye Brosnan ( there is a difference in his portrayal of Bond in the later films Bronson did) an Craig.
I keep forgetting that Ade, the actor who plays Infante, was the getaway driver in "Snatch."😄Two completely different roles, but he was great in both of them.
The drink Bond orders is the same he orders while aboard Rene's private jet. Except it had six lemon peels that time and the bartender who explained what it was to the tired Bond (who'd forgotten he'd had one before) and Rene was cool as a cucumber on ice.
Bond recalled how distracted everyone at the card game in the Bahamas was when Dimitrios's gorgeous wife walked in...so he used the same tactic here...👍👍
The Spy who has beautiful city and VS and good 👍 thank you because winning and how Queen to Queen level 3 and stay safe and leave Sean aline and I win again for letting truuth and your welcome 😁

That was because she genuinely liked Bond.

Damn, in my mind Casino Royale is still a 10 year old movie 😕
You then know only internet and your smartphone.
Mads Mikkelsen was/is the best Bond villain of all time. The way he looks at Bond is incredible.
I'm glad they allowed the scene to be quiet without adding music or random editing to create a false intensity.
Yes. A thousand times this.

It’s a reference to the original recipe, Gordon’s gin was different 100 years ago.
hey. let's not demean my favorite brand for gin-n-tonix
Gordon's should make a new addition to their Gin line by making an more expensive high quality gin. Gordon's 007 Gin. People would buy it.
When you order a drink and then everyone orders the same thing as you, that's power that money can't buy.
Eva’s entrance and then Daniel kissing her,What a chemistry !
At the end as an Italian ,I praise Giancarlo Giannini.

3 measures of gin and 1 of vodka ?
That's like 4 shots of alcohol in one serving!
4 of those would bring most people down.
its just a 3:1 ratio. Not necessarily 3 shots + 1
And he drank 6 of them in Quantum of Solace (I actually wondered which airline/plane has a bar like that!)
if your not used to drinking, it's a killer, but if you are, it's a delight
Craig is the best Bond ! So gritty

Eva Green is by far the most imposing presence on most of the movies she takes part.

Gordon's is a UK manufacturer of gin. Perhaps they clipped it out because of sponsorship issues
