The sequinned blue topper will look lovely paired with a soft lime green, rust colours, coral other blues, creams and golds, and of course lilacs and purples. Play with it, it's such a pretty piece to hide away in a cupboard 🎉😂

Ach! Karina, with the 12 hour time difference between Australia and the US, I completely missed the sale. It's such a coincidence, that 2 days ago I watched another Vloger talk about her version. I had never heard of PE or this pattern. Then in 2 days, 2 separate sewists are raving about it. Haha. I really want to try the duster, but in an almost transparent jacquard I have. As always, thank you for the wonderful work you do.

Love them all! Your styling really helps to see which length might work with different garments. You look fabulous in the paisley version with both the burgundy and wide leg navy pants - same jacket, both with pants, yet very different looks!! Very, very nice Karina!

Oh, I love your newest Songbird! I did make one from a flowy knit and it’s so nice to wear. The directions are slightly different for a knit so for anyone making one be sure to read through them first. The Songbird is such a versatile pattern!

I made my one and only Songbird (shortest version) about a year ago and have absolutely loved it! I plan on making more. I do feel like I need to shorten the sleeve a bit as well. I love your new version and can't wait to see the bottoms you are planning to pair with it!

I put a little safety pin when I wore it with the burgundy pants :) it was open for all the rest.
Thanks for the video, Karina. So far, I have made Songbirds from poly/lycra and from scuba. I love them both, but I’m planning a white one for a cruise next. I noticed that you modelled the paisley Songbird closed in the front. Did you just pin it closed or did you add a button?

It looks like a great Cardi and a simple sew. Wondering about the back neck band, does it lay on the neck or does it stand up?
With these wovens the band stands up. I interfaced them because I wanted the structure.

Hello Karina, thank you for your post. I totally understand the fabric thing. I too tend to buy beautuful fabric first thinking of a pattern to suit. I just bought a beautuful lose weave white linen with a type of cover up in mind. The Songbird is perfect! Just used your link to purchase. I was thinking of making it with French seams, what do you think?

The wide leg pants with this piece is lovely! Do you recall the pattern for the pants?
They are the Dune pants from Sinclair patterns if you mean the plaid pants or the Icaria pants from Itch to Stitch are the navy one. I do put the names of the patterns on the screen when they appear.
Just wondering - you didn't need to do an FBA for this pattern?
I did do it for the burgundy set I sewed years ago when I made a larger size. I didn’t do it for my current version.
Can quilting cotton look good with this pattern? I have so much of it from my quilting days. Does it have darts for full bust adjustments?
The pattern specifically recommends not using quilting cotton. It’s too structure
