This is how I dance anyway when playing around. If you tighten your abs and breath through your mouth at a slow steady pace it could work with any dance move. The up-beat music helps with cardio thus weight loss and toned body. Great video by the way.

I bought XBOX Zumba fitness for kinect around three weeks ago, in start I was only doing 20 minutes, but as soon I was catching up and my stamina started to build, i increased the workout sessions, now I do intermediate levels around 60+ minutes, of course I balanced my diet too, and baam I have managed to get a good shape in 2 weeks and lost 5 lbs. It works, its awsome.... :)

@devadasi Absolutely. When you are doing the standing crunches (that's when your hands are up by your head and you are moving your ribcage toward your hips and vice versa) use your abdominal muscles to make that movement. I tell my class to pull their bellybutton to their backbone and that the only way they can make the movement is to contract the abdominals. Same thing when you are bring the elbow to the knee, contract your obliques to move the knee up to the arm. Hope that helps. =-)
@missydynasty One thing I absolutely love about Zumba is that there is no wrong way to do things. Everyone has there own style and that is what makes doing Zumba so fun!
Usually when I get cramps it is because I am working harder then I am used to. It may take your body awhile to build up enough stamina to complete the routine. In the mean time you may want to make your moves a little smaller and then see how you feel.
@CheyyyenneAlexxis Absolutely! The best way to enjoy the benefits of Zumba is to go to a class. You can burn between 500-800 calories in an hour. The best part is, you don't feel like you are exercising because it is so fun!
love this, its so easy yet effective, how long will it take if i do this a couple of times a day on top of a one hour session of zumba tone, for me to start seeing results? :)

@ToonCrazy3 No, it is not supposed to burn.. You need to contract the abdominals or tighten them as you do the different moves. Think about pulling your belly button in toward your backbone by tightening the abdominal muscles. Then you will feel your abdominals working.

this is a good ab work out especially for beginers who want to work up to the more intense stuff. it doesnt hurt my hernia or my back.
