This is the "clean" version that I heard as an MTV kid, but I've been listening to the unedited song for so long, I totally forgot how badly they had to mangle it for us children.
It's like a completely different song.
Rolling down the street smoking, smoking.
No.
horrible edit~!
Yes ugh! 😒👎🏾
ENDO!!
I know I’m old when you ask “what’s an 8 track”. It was the original cassette tape
Kids now be like....."What's a casette tape"🤪
IKR 😂😂😂
It was a cartridge tape!! It only had 8 tracks or songs on it
I know right
I was hoping he was joking. Lol.
“What’s an 8-track?” 🤣😂😭 Damn, I’m so old!
LMAO!
You at least 80
C'mon man
"Sippin' on gin and juice, laid back
With my mind on my money
And my money on my mind" 😂
Jay, I remember when you first mentioned Snoop you admitted you don't listen to him. Pretty cool to hear you say that you're loving his rap & beats now. Dr. Dre is smooth on the beats. 🔥
Fun Fact: (Lil)Bow Wow is one of the kids jumping on the couch in the beginning
Bow Wow-After 3
Yea he was one in blue
Shit. I didn't know that. Thanx!
So I am in my late 40s, I've been smoking weed every day since I was 13, now having my first weed break ever , thought ill have a beer and jump on CZcams ....This is the first video I stumbled across.. Its not helping brother.lol
😱😂
It's a sign😁
😆
The entire album this was on is classic... "Lodi Dodi", "Murder Was The Case", "Doggy Dogg World", "Who Am I?", "Ain't No Fun"... next to Dre's "The Chronic" it has to be one of top G funk albums ever
I think that deep cover was also in this album
👍Indeed
Not in that order
This single handedly dismantles and destroys the east coast.
Damn this is worse than the censored version this is the radio friendly version
I can't listen to it lmao.
i always include links to the version i recommend to jay. it's a helpful & efficient way to recommend videos. '-)
"What's an 8 track" 😬
Its what we had before cassettes. It was MUCH larger & thicker than a CD case & had a thick magnetic tape that ran through it with the music on it.
And you had to stick a matchbook under them after a couple years of play. Who even remembers matchbooks?
Oh wow, great description there for me aswell. I only heard of them in That 70's Show and never knew what one looked like. I was born in 77
I was born a year before but I know what they look like lol. My grandmother still had them. 😁
But you didn't have to rewind it.
There was no rewind or fast forward (like cassettes, etc.) lol. You had to listen to the entire album if you wanted to hear the song again 😁 It didn’t matter though bcuz our music was great unlike now.
Still waiting for 'Pete Rock & Cl Smooth'
and 'A Tribe Called Quest'
Actually, gin and juice was already the drink of the time. Real life influenced the song. Sloe Gin Fizz, Tanqueray and OJ, were both popular in the clubs in the late 80’s.
Seeing Snoop was the most fun I had at a concert.
...was he late? Saw him three times. He was late. All three times.
@@mojomusica.0169 lol. Not when I saw him.
I love this stuff at 4:00 AM when I can't sleep. Even so, it makes me feel old because I was 4 when this song came out.
This is the first full Snoop song I've ever heard, and it's what I expected from observing him over these decades. The type of person he is, relaxed, easy, mellow, laid back, seeming high constantly lol, humorous, nothing is too fast, no major lyric assault like from some other artists, but then there doesn't need to be so much going on for someone to be great. It's just his own unique style. And from what I've observed of him in interviews, he's the same in real life as in songs. And he's only gotten better over the decades
An 8 track was a different type of cassette player. The tapes looked more like cartridges
Jay said that, I died a lil beat deep inside... :D
"Laid Back" this is a JAM
Dr Dre was a master at coming up with legendary hip hop grooves and beats! 😎
He just ripped off old songs and added a harder beat
An 8 track held 4 separate channels or tracks (not songs) in stereo totalling 8 tracks. It played in an endless loop and you could select any of the 4 channels but when you switched to a different channel you just got whatever song was on at that point of the tape on the different channel. When the tape finished its loop it would start again but the player would automatically change to the next channel for you. Sometimes it would switch channels mid song because that’s just where the loop ended but they tried to avoid doing that by organizing the songs as best they could. I’m 43 and they were before my time but we had one at our cottage. Listened to a lot of Arlo Guthrie and Willie Nelson on 8 tracks
You're just scratching the surface Brother 90's HIPHOP is the GOLDEN AGE. Keep Exploring FOR REAL!👍😎❤💯🎶🍻
That you’ve never heard this makes me feel so old!
Dude, you can't do the edited versions of these. They are so bad.
This is back when kids actually watched MTV for music and parents still actually tried to filter stuff from their kids. They were wild times!
I didn’t look for any edited version this the one that came up on snoops official CZcams
@@JayveeTVReacts No worries. I am not upset with you. You have never heard it before so you don't know. I just ask that in the future, if you do any gangsta rap, please look for the unedited versions. These kid friendly ones are terrible. They basically ruin the song.
i always include links to the version i recommend to jay. it's a helpful & efficient way to recommend videos. '-)
Oldie and a goodie! Gotta roll with Snoop! 💙✌️
You should do the album "Doggystyle", from beginning to end, it's a masterpiece - the "Sgt. Peppers" of gangsta rap!
Jay, we was drinking gin and juice way before this song. Thanks for playing my man Snoop 👵🏿💖🤗👍🏾!
What's an 8 track???? Omg! I'm old 😆
Iktr 😂
You’re not alone- only listened to couple 8 tracks my Dad had..I was only in like 1st grade- then records that I’d get as gifts, hand-me/downs or that I bought with my lil allowance- then cassettes and so on.. ✌️
@@kimberlinibambini1988 the good Ole days🌻
"What's an eight-track? Come on, man! I was born in the 80s and I still know what an eight-track is (though I've never played one).
Snoop's flow is so smooth he can rhyme a cake recipe & make it hot.
Wow!!! You are on a roll with some 90’s rap!!! Love it!!
Do some 90’s RnB too🤩 😎
Man, i remember blastin this album on my car stereo when it first came out in '93. You should listen to "Aint No Fun" off of this album, its a good one.😄👍
I was 20 when this came out.....aww dammit, i feel old now☹
Haha that’s my jam 😂
@@jackie_jrml yeah, what the radio announcer says at the beginning is pretty funny.
@@jackie_jrml oh also remember 🎵🎶"It aint no fuuuun if the homies cant haaaave none..."🎶🎵
Just discovered your channel a couple days ago and I’m having so much fun going through all the fantastic videos! Love your reactions and love that you don’t pause too often and just let it flow and let us enjoy it with you. Great job man, keep it up ❤️
“I didn’t wanna go to Gertrudes house any damn way”🤣
"Why not?"
Always loved this tune!
Got on my Mums nerves, blazing this up so loud back in the day. 😂
Brings back 90s memories, getting drunk with the boys in a room with gin and juice, listening to hip hop. Then head to the city and go to clubs dancing and chasing girls ❤️
My brother did mix gin and juice in the 80s that's what he told me.i was raised in the 90s with the house partys concerts every weekend partying started thursday end up on sunday. Was a cool time living in the 90's
Snoop at the height of his glory! As a gin drinker, I can attest that not many people enjoy drinking a pine cone.
Also, HIGHLY RECOMMEND Richard Cheese's version of "Gin & Juice"! That's a gin drinking song!
I highly recommend The Gourds version. That one is a little better than Richard Cheese.
@@robertcherman Another excellent version, but I prefer the Cheese.
@@diceythings I used to be an online radio DJ. When the Gourds version came out, everyone was requesting it all the time. The funny thing is half the time, they thought it was Phish.
We used a program called SAMS Broadcaster, we could see how many people were listening at any given time in real time. I try to push songs that I know get a lot of viewers, but I think Richard Cheese version is pretty good too, just never had request for it.
@@robertcherman I'm not surprised. I've met very few people that knew who Richard Cheese was. However, I've never heard on The Gourds before. I'll probably look into them more. Thanks!
Oh snap. We all need to recommend Richard Cheese to all the reaction channels. Genre-bending is so fun.
Ya gotta listen to the explicit version!! It’s much better than this clean version
I look forward years down the road listening the golden oldies with my future grandkids... mamaws gonna be turning this gem on 😁
Would love to see you experience these.. Two of the best and hardest rap songs to come out of the 90's. Well, they blew my little white boy mind, anyway!
Ice-T "Midnight"
Boogie Down Productions "Love's Gonna Getcha"
I’m so happy I grew up in that era🙌🏼 Keep doing what you’re doing I love your channel💕
8 track tapes came before cassette tapes and unlike an album you could play them in your car. Google it so you can see what they look like
"What's an 8-Track"? An 8-Track was a groovy "K-Tel presents" cartridge tape that preceded the cassette tape. One cool thing, the audio was really good and you could play different tracks simultaneously with the push of a button. Many cars had 8-Track audio systems in the 1970's. The tapes were big and clunky compared to the cassettes.
The unedited version is MUCH better but still a great classic.....love this song!
Can you react to “Triumph” by Wu tang clan??? That song is one of their most lyrical tracks it’s going to make your head explode
You want to blow your mind, check out The Gourds cover of this. It's crazy how well it works, and even Snoop said he liked it.
From the flow to each bar to the hook and the beat, this might be the greatest "hit" rap single of all time.
His story telling, his spelling, his flow(s), his bar structure, his nasally voice/his LA accent, his word choice, his occasional singing. Rappers ain't doing it like that nomo.
Some had fathers...the rest of us had Snoop n Pac 🤣
I was 13 when Doggystyle dropped n it changed the game. Definitely check the album bro it's a front to back classic.
And yes...Gin n Juice in Burger King cups, getting doubled on a bmx, one ear bud each from a tape walkman, just you n the homie rolling
Memories from the golden era...so lucky to be a teen in the 90s
If you want to hear a different side of 2Pac listen to "I Get Around "
He's knows that song just like he knows this song
28 yrs old .. This is real rap . This is the OG that’s why he’s called OG.. the original . U need to deep dive into 90’s rap and the chronic . There’s so much u would be trippin . Love ur reactions . My fav
this is another one i've been looking forward to you listening to!
An "Eight Track" refers to an outdated mode of technology to play music. It basically looked like a vertical cassette tape and was about the size of VHS video cassette, if you know what that is, lol...
Did I hear you right, you don't what an 8 Track is? My first car had factory 8. Well it's not a radio, basically It's the predecessor of the cassette tape.😷🇨🇦
"You need to get a jobie job" & "Don't be messin with the 8 Track" haha, that would be a big ole square cartridge that fit into the machine or your car to listen to the jams! haha!
Isn’t it smoking Endo? This is censored
Yeah, it's endo. No clue why they can't say endo.
this is the MTV censoring. The worst of the worst.
Love Snoops flow it's amazing my favourite hip hop artist. Doggystyle is a masterpiece, my desert island album, I listen to it all the time. My copy is 29yrs old and still going strong.
Snoop's voice!!! That thing breaks the dark! Any beat, it just breaks in super dogg Roaring.
I’ve enjoyed this channel so much! It’s fun to revisit some of these songs, and refreshing to see another generation appreciate the music I grew up on and what my own parents loved too.
Funny diss video “Dre Day”.
4:18 you're exactly right! Everyone was drinking Gin & Juice back then because of this song.
"What's an 8-track?"
Now I truly feel old. I didn't realize they weren't even a reference to the age of someone/something anymore.
You have to do this version, its better than the Richard Cheese version. Trust me, this one was a hit, too.
The Gourds-Gin And Juice

🕶️Sippin on Gin & Juice🍾 Layyyyed back wit my mind on my 💸 and my 💸on my mind 🕶️
Warren G in the back ground cruising in one of the low riders from Your "Regulator" Reaction. Definitely check out snoops "What's my name", Got to be the dirty version.
Great reaction as always, but damn it's hard listening to the "clean" versions of these classics. Please check out Too Short - Cocktails. I just subscribed if that helps my chances any 🤣
i always include links to the version i recommend to jay. it's a helpful & efficient way to recommend videos. '-)
@@karikells lmao, yeah this is real. Somebody living on this side of the solar system, to the west of Saturn is hearing this song for the first time in 2020? Its called bullshit.
@@quintocreations5091 I feel like his reactions feel very genuine though. A lot of reactors I can’t watch because of the fake acting
an 8-track tape is a magnetic-tape sound recording technology that was popular from the mid-1960s to the early 1980s, when the Compact Cassette tape, which predated 8-track, surpassed it in popularity for pre-recorded music. I think this is it
Listen to the unedited version in your spare time. But gin mixed with orange juice has been around for a minute. More wholesome than lean, that's for sure!
I clearly remember the first time I heard this tune in a small club full of G.Is in a small town in Germany. The club went crazy everybody was dancing. I got jumped later that night thats why I reme8that night so well😂
You need to listen to this again but with Snoop,Kid Rock and Tim McGraw, its awesome
Doggystyle is a phenomenal album, use to play it on my kenwood car stereo, good times.
Saw "First Time Hearing Gin & Juice" and I was like "WHAT! I've got to see this."
You gotta react to "187" Dr. Dre & Snoop and "America's Most Wanted" Snoop & Tupac. BOOM !!
Yes they did that Seagram’s and Juice and their still drinking it today😁
Yes they were Gin and Juicing it! 😂 everywhere
Gin and juice is way older than this song. My grandmother drank gin and juice when I was a kid, and I'm 52 now. Yep that also means that I know what a 8 track is. 😂
The Gourds do a bluegrass cover of this that is amazing!
Rolling down the street smoking Endo, sipping on Gin n Juice... laaaiiid back.
I played this on my boom box rolling up to school in the 3rd grade
We were Already drinking Gin and juice That's why he made the song because it was something that was already being done in the hood
2:31... Snoop sitting on the front of that bicycle reminds me of Jigsaw (from the 'Saw' movies) riding his little bike.
Fun Fact. The hook to this song is sung by David Ruffin Jr. Son of The Temptations lead singer David Ruffin.
Don't know what makes a fact fun but thanks I learnt something new
oh yes most def me and the homies used to mix up that gin and juice in da early 90s ... we called it ''gasoline'' cus ude be lit on fiyah after you drank it
Gin and juice was a popular drink already. Snoop just rapped about it.
Ahhhh! When Snoop was Snoop, thank you!
The edited version??? WTH?!?! It’s a good thing this middle age Midwestern white gal still knows the words 💕 I mean, it’s Snoop Dogg 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Another classic of the era: Regulate by Warren G. and Nate Dogg, from my home town of Long Beach.
Lol. That was my drink back in the day. Gin and grapefruit juice.
Whenever Reaction to a *Music🎶Video* you NEED to put in the search *(Uncensored Explicit Dirty)* Version
i always include links to the version i recommend to jay. it's a helpful & efficient way to recommend videos. '-)
Bow wow was the little boy in the cowboy's jersey. An eight track is device that only had eight songs on it.
Jin and Juice is an old school drink. Older than the 90s lol
Snoop and Ludicrous released a single in the mid to late 90's. It was bangin'. And I can't remember the name of the song.
Ahhh....the mem'ries...
This dropped my freshman year of college (tellin' my age) LOL!!
I love the "Richard Cheese" cover of this
Love this song 🍾🍾🍾🎊🎊🎊
Haha. It was the other way around for us. Snoop took what we were drinking and put it in this song...
1990 to 95 was the Golden Age of hip hop.
Lil' Bow Wow in the Blue Jersey!
I love Snoop, and his family.😎👍👍💖💖
Of course we did 🔥
I almost didn’t recognize him! Was a baaaaby!! Geez I’m old!
the kid with the jersey on is Bow Wow.
My house was the party spot in the summer of 1997,I hooked up with so many people including girls several years older than myself
The unedited version is soooooo much better!!
