💑 About Hercules Candy
Hercules Candy has been on Steve’s side of the family since 1910(ish). When he took over in the 70’s, he anticipated after 10 years of hard work, he could move the business out of the basement and into a real storefront. Unfortunately, it took until 2018 for that to happen, but hey at least it happened! Steve and Terry own the shop, Craig (the social media manager) is their son, Cara (wrapper and shipper extraordinaire who is poised to take over the shop one day) is their daughter and Leah (who doesn’t love being on camera and is very elusive) is their oldest daughter. Karen has been working for Hercules Candy since the twins (Craig and Cara) were about 6 months old and everybody else is a new recruit. Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the 🔔 for more videos!

I think Julia took to candy making so easy she can do everything! I thought she had done it all before to0! Every job from making the candy to packaging to setting up the orders is important and they all do their jobs excellently! And seem to be happy and get along ! Keep up the good work y’all ❤️
The point of using a whisk is to aerate. The creamer machine has already beat plenty of air into it. If Julia used a whisk to mix flavor into hot candy, there would be air bubbles in the candy from uneven aeration.
Yeah, I think most ppl are just going "well a whisk mixes things better than a fork or spoon" not really realizing that the medium affects that.
That overfilled bunny is just “earmarked “! 😂
Exactly!
You go Julia! You making candy is such a beautiful art form. You make it look easy but I know it has to be everything to a tee. You being picky shows how much you care. The filming of this video was excellent. So enjoyable!! Thanks for the great content., Everyone there is so nice and playful. So much fun to watch. Love you guys!!
I love details✨ thank you so much ❤
I'm with Julia on the vacation type, sitting by a body of water relaxing, trying new restaurants.
In bronze casting, we call the removal of flashing, "chasing." (In your case, the flashing would be the thin amount of chocolate that Kara was breaking off.)
Just got my order after years of watching and wanting to try and everything was great from the hard candy to the chocolate!
You gotta be kidding me! A new video on this fine Friday?! Oh graces
It's your lucky friday!
@@HerculesCandybetter buy a lottery ticket...and win....and buy all the candy
I love that your candy is hand made with dedication and love. Greetings from Argentina
Scott was like Immediately NO, separate us 😂
🤣
He’s lying
@@juliafromhercules controversy! JULIA is calling Scott a liar!! Implying they enjoy being stuck to each other 🤔😂
Are they dating?
my favorite type of vacation is maybe going to a new city and hopefully attending a concert, enjoying all the sights they have to offer. indulging in local restaurants/cafes, hitting up antique shops or small business shops to find cute souvenirs, and maybe even an art museum the see the creativity of the locals!
Ooooorrr, having a staycation, like Julia, and focusing on my hobbies that are fun to me like art, taking a stroll on the nice part of town, going to a cozy cafe to read... and bask in nature at a park on a beautiful day :o)
I loooove concerts too!!
Also had to watch the end again cause Steve's reaction to Terry's reaction to the scary bunny behind her 😅
My favorite way to go to vacation is camping which we do a lot in the summer. Just laying out in a chair relaxing listening to the outdoor sounds at night with a campfire. That’s the best.
The extra chocolate is called a flange. We used to get the same thing happen when I worked in a biscuit factory. X
Imagine if you did a "sweethearts" thing similar to the twin bunnies at Valentine's day, so lovers can break it apart and eat it together.
Awww cute idea 🥰
Super fresh candy video yay!
I don’t have ocd but those bunny tails are different this year ! The tails are on side ways ! 😂😂😂
Thought the same. 😂
Tbf, larger surface area means they're less likely to fall off. I'd assume anyway lol
Thanks Hercules Family I needed this today haven't been always able to catch them when they drop or your lives but always watch. ❤😊
My favorite vacations are to historical sites and zoos and such places.
Happy Easter to everyone. So many happy bunnies. Nice to see Cara we haven’t seen her for a while and we were getting worried. 🐣🐥
Got my order today!! Delicious as always!!
I'm glad you enjoyed everything!
Love the Jennie finch shirt.!! ❤❤❤Julia you’re making it look easy! It’s a wonderful to watch you do the damn thing.
You’re so sweet!!!! Thank you
playing with mud and runny clay will give you the corn-syrup skills
thin chocolate off the robing is the same as the thin hard candy between the drops - flashing - so breaking it off can be called dropping, de-flashing, deburring, shelling and one lady I did creme and robe with called it smoothing. You can actually use a smoothing knife that works like a flashing knife, one of the little long-arm skill saw tables with a little round shield and a round cable blade will do the work really quick.
Never use a whisk when stirring up creme because they can cause a lot of crystals and lose heat quickly in the air, the correct tool is the egg silhouette shaped wooden paddle that matches the curves of the copper basin. You can keep that tool warm by the burner and its slow to heat and cool and won't make many crystals.
I love these Starch To Finish videos, they are so relaxing 😁🥰
Great job Julia! That looks yummy!
🥰🥰
Perfect vacation, sitting on a warm sandy beach listening to the waves
This is a lost art. Amazing stuff.
Thanks!
Hopefully they got orders for the giant bunies this year, as we would love a giant chocolate bunny decorating video.
I would work here for free just because it looks so satisfying😊
I had made a comment before about using something like the scoop/sieve she used to scoop out the tails and I got so excited when I watched this and saw y’all had gotten one! Not taking credit I’ve just always wondered if it would be easier for y’all to use something like that and to hear that it’s much easier just eased my mind that I didn’t have to wonder anymore haha
Your videos get better each one . Love m and the music ❤🎉😊
I want a vacation at the beach. Either Jamaica or Hawaii, or any exotic beaches, and just enjoy the peace and quiet.
I would not argue with any of those vacations!
Thanks! What a pleasure it is watching your videos! Cheers!
I was too late to order my special request during my surgery recovery, but I'm looking forward to Easter rabbits & eggs instead! Soon, Terry. Hopefully you won't have to call me again! LOL
My perfect vacation is on a paddle boat cruise down the Mississippi River, which I am doing in September
Love your videos. Watching you guys from Mauritius. Ty. Tc happy people. ❤️🇲🇺❤️
Amazing video, keep em coming...😀
Yikes....i make hummingbird feed....thats a hummingbirds lifetime of feed....actually they only live 5 years.
Love your show
🍻🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦🍻
9:25 .... is that flour?
Oh...cornstarch lol...thank you❤
Excellent video love the bunnies and Julia is excellent 👍 🐰
A new video of a new candy, I can't believe how lucky we are!!👍 🎉😁
I haven't watched in a long while, now I am seeing new faces. I still miss some of the original people, but I know you're new ones are doing a wonderful job
I couldn't ignore the black specs in the sugar, and later in the fondant.
My wife her sister and myself made it into the store today these are incredible also we got to try the smores bark OMG that was incredible Thank You we had BLAST visiting your store :)
You have an amazing team of candy makers. I just became a sub.
HAPPY FRIDAY 🎉🎉🥰🥰
You too!!
@@HerculesCandy thank you🥰🥰
Their twins, Julia. You had twins!! Lol
PSA: Don't Mess With Julia
Truuuue
18:01
You talking about the weather just sounds like an average day in Northern Ireland- or Ireland in general-
Ive just started following Julia's tiktok, Video's are awesome 😊
YAYY!!😍
15:30 Should have asked her if she ever pretends to be a witch mixing a deathly brew...
Not so sure about those bunny tails...lol...great video! 😊
Extra love for the Chappelle reference! F-I-F FEEEEEIIIF!
Aww those bunny faces are cute!
The candy dripper @17:33 could be modified to hold like two? Say 2 flavors and you could have like a swirl or a tiedye candy, idk i struggle with basic caramel but trying to juggle 3 different things is a no-go. They are delicate and you need haste but also precision! Flavors could be fruit like berry or cola idk
Julia is very good at her job. You can tell she’s smart and has integrity.
Scott was really funny when they were tasting the batch.
Yeah so smart that she is working at a candy place making not a lot of money... genius!
haha the don't mess with Julia part was hilarious.
I was thinking to myself, have they ever dropped one of those bowls while carrying them. About 1 minute later my thoughts were answered 😅
One of the things I love is that even tho the question might've been answered before, Scott or Craig usually asks a lot of questions a viewer might.
16:10 i wouldn't say a whisk, maybe a silicone spatula? but ladle is fine.
Can you guys please try and make the brachs easter hunt eggs? They were discontinued and were my favorite!
As I’m watch HC on Sunday 17/3/24, I’m eating a violet dark crème chocolate from a handmade chocolate shop in East Yorkshire UK… yummy 😋
Would love to try HC DARK only chocolate…
Have u made violet crèmes?
💜🍬💜
It’s still odd to watch how big y’all have gotten. So different than that little old room
that glass break scared the junk outta me!
Can't wait to pick up my Easter treats!
I want to work there, too. 😂
Bro trying to spit game at the beginning lol "ohhhooOHHHH u do it LikE My DaDdY!"
How often do you have to add cornstarch to the freezer
7:07 is this where the forbidden mozzarella short is from?
My kinda vaca is on the beach or at the pool relaxing too!
Yesssss
No, that's not how real bunnies are made 😂
You should do a bag of julias mix
@hercules candy there a small/large black specks in the sugar she adding, any idea what it is? starts at 2:03
I wondered if anyone else would see that lol, methinks that sugar's been sitting out open for too long... Same with the fondant later on
I hope people who watch this never complain about the prices again.
Bunny butts 😂😂😂 🐇🐇🐇🐇
Already followed tiktok and I love it
I would love to support this business but the shipping is too high for me. Everything they make looks so good and filled with love.
💯shipping is way too much for me (and I only live in Michigan!)
Do you have to replace the cornstarch?
Yes they do every 3 to 6 months depending on use
I was thinking the red velvet bunnies were going to be with white chocolate. They look good.
I wonder why you guys don’t make taffy, or maybe I just missed it on the store? I know that it’s pretty much the exact same process as making hard candy, but just cooked to a lower temp so it stays soft, it would be cool to see you guys make some.
They have a taffy maker and have said they will use it when they have time.
What stage and/or temperature do you cook the sugar to for creams?
Probably talked about in the old videos from the basement days. Either way watching old videos is fun!
238°F (took note of that because i feel like i could maybe recreate their creams someday 😅)
@@mabyyy485Thank you that is very helpful. 238 degrees would be at the Soft Ball stage, which makes a lot of sense.
How many batches of creams do yall do in just a day? I bet it's alot 21:30
What? An actual measuring cup?
Yummy ❤🎉🎉
Julia is like my dream woman, someone like me that is more laid-back and afraid of adventurous things but also that will take charge if she needs to , sassy and classy at the same time haha 😁🤗
Sugar is no longer 5 pounds, it is now 4 pounds.
I would like an adventure vacation❤
What happened to the guy that used to work the starch box? Where did he go? He was here for years and I went into the hospital and now he's gone! XD Just wondering, he was so funny!
I tried 4 times tonight to order Easter candy for my husband. I tried using 2 different cards, still wouldn't work. We've ordered from you before, is the site down? we need our bunnies lol. 🐰
Who is the guy with the red cap? Ive been watching for years. I feel dumb for not knowing.
He's the other camera man. He mostly shoots things for TikTok, instagram, Facebook and Snapchat and assists with CZcams. So you probably just don't see him as much
The equipment when your Dad was the only one doing the candy, was immaculate. Not so much anymore.
They look like cut up carrots 😂
Greetings from Thailand 🙏🏼
Julia is awesome
You’re awesome
You're great!
Last year, I remember that their white tails were attached the other way. Am I remembering wrong?
Glückliche familie .die in ihrem handwerk aufgeht .

Greetings, peeps who make lovely sweets better'n any ol' candy peep, any ol' day. 🐇
