Maybe my favorite song.
I play and sing it often. Genius.
I've been listening to Elliott for almost 25 years (Whoa, I'm getting old). Just in the past year or so this song has slowly become my favorite. Not proud of it, but I can relate very much to the lyrics. We live and learn and Elliott will be the soundtrack to our lives. And for that we can be grateful.

Just an incredible fucking songwriter. He was too good a musician to stay alive I guess. Hendrix. Lennon. Cobain. And Elliott. What a shame.
This world is precisely not made for that kind of sensitive souls made out of art and passion. This is a cruel place, ruled by injustice, selfishness and insubstantial routines. So this kind of people are sadly destinated to die young and in a bad way. Some of them can get over it probably like John Lehnon would have done if he hadn't got shoted, but lots of other people feel overwhelmed snd need to get out somehow..
