Was he „killed“ or died in crash? Doesn‘t „kill“ imply beeing done by someone?
Thanks for your question. No, 'kill' doesn't mean that it was caused by someone, it can also be 'caused by something', for example in an accident.
In Spanish something similar happens: for instance, "Se mató en su auto".
Yeah, that's actually what I am pondering after listening to this. Was it a sort of mistake or something hidden message 😅.
In my mother tongue, Spanish, "kill" implies intention or done by somebody else. Even so, I often hear things like my example above.
@@saraifascinetto5437 Unfortunately I don’t understand that sentence in Spanish. Translating it in my mother, Romanian, with DeepL, I get “he killed himself in his car.” 😀
This episode is a big surprise
Raisi we love you and miss

1:28 what does that meet mean there?
Hi
Thanks for the lesson.
Can I say polarised instead of divided?
Yes, you can. Polarised usually means to the opposite ends of two sides, divided can mean multiple. However, in this context is has the same meaning.
It's good to see faces of both of you, Beth and Phil. I'm used to hearing you from 6 Minute English. I knew your voices but not your image. Great. Phil is younger than imagined. And Beth, a very little older. I imagined a teenager while she's a young woman.

It depends on how you look at it. For this news, you need to have prior knowledge of the history of Iran.

At least you’re not that cheerful like you were in the previous videos as of its content. That’s respect.
I like your programs very much and benefit from them a lot. However, when listening to your videos with headphones, the conversation volume and the background music volume are very different. The music volume is loud. It disturbs the ear. It will be great if you adjust this... Thank you very much...
😊 Thank you for your feedback! We will do our best to improve the audio in the next video.
For How levels that this is today's content, someone can teach ?

Difference between accident and incident
Accident = crash
Incident = event
Since you know that he was killed then who killed him?
I don't think using "Kill" in here is correct! Kill means to cause someone to die, you can say "was killed" or "died."

Hello Team BBC, you used a sentence in this video "Iran president killed in helicopter crash". is Iran president a subject or doer in this sentence. if yes, dont we use passive sentence like "Iran president was killed in helicopter crash" please suggest.
I will be obilized if you give prompt reply.
😊 You're right, 'Iran president' is the subject in this sentence, and we would usually say 'The president of Iran was killed in a helicopter crash' in conversation. However, in news headlines, we tend to remove words that aren't necessary. This is to make the headline shorter.

Just in the capital, millions of people came out and attended his funeral !Imagine the great majority of people in other cities . We're deeply down but we will stand strong doubtlessly! Brothers of Islam, peace and blessings be upon you In the current era, Muslims have not helped the Palestinians in the way that Allah Almighty has said, so no Muslim countries have the right to cut the neck, cut off the hands, whip or punish the accused according to Sharia. All people should wait for the sudden calamity as Allah has said, and the people of the countries who violated this statement, those people are being declared as foreign Islam. is familiar with).

He was a tyrant, a liar, and an executioner. We Persians are euphoric about his death and that of a few others in this crash. The only regret is that they didn't live to stand trial for their excesses and crimes. He is responsible for loss of many innocent lives, including women and children.
Women life freedom 🙌
Definitely he and his regime is such terrible violent criminals !!
