Bird understands timing, fills, intonation, pitch, chordal harmony, melody, musical “feeling”, dynamics… this is more than entertaining it is totally extraordinary. I hope they have reached out to academics to study this bird!!

That was unbelievable! Tico is definitely listening to Lisa and trying to match what she is singing. At times it seemed he was almost singing the same words Lisa & Frank were. His harmonies were astounding! Something magical is happening here. What a blesséd little being he is. Kudos to the new quartet - Tico, Frank, Gina, & Lisa. Superb!

This is great! We have a trio on the chorus, Lisa and Frank and Tico! Tico sings when they sing, not at random times! I think he enjoys singing in this arrangement just as much as we love watching! He sings on the bridge, and actually allows Lisa’s beautiful voice to come out sometimes! Bird on fire! And I can’t help but laugh at his enthusiasm!

@@violet9853 I'm not a parrot owner myself, but I am an avid watcher of parrot videos, so I can share what I have learned from those. Yes, it is expensive to own a parrot. You have to buy varied and nutritious food for the parrot as well as toys which the parrot is likely to destroy. Owning a parrot is a very big commitment because they demand a lot of your time and attention. You would need to make modifications to your house to make sure it is safe for the parrot. You would also need to be very careful not to let the parrot fly out of a window or door as they wouldn't then know how to find their way back to the house and you might lose them forever. They spend the night in their cages but need to be let out during the day so that they can get the physical and mental exercise that they need in order to be happy and healthy. You also need to be prepared for the parrot to cause damage to your furniture, wallpaper, electrical equipment and other belongings. They poop approximately once every 30 minutes, so a lot of cleaning is required. Some parrots can be very noisy and not just talk or sing but scream at random times. They can live between 40 and 90 years, so in many cases you need to make provisions for the parrot to be looked after in case they outlive you. They sometimes bond with some members of the household but dislike or mistrust other people living in the house. It is not always safe for the parrot to live with other pets such as cats or dogs. I know it is very tempting to consider acquiring a parrot as they are incredibly cute, funny, cheeky, amazingly intelligent and full of personality. However, it is a decision that you need to consider very carefully and be prepared to make significant adjustments to your lifestyle. Finally, if you do decide to acquire a parrot, please adopt one from a sanctuary or a rescue center rather than buying one from a breeder if at all possible.
