Forgotten Jeep J4000 in a field - first look, first impressions.

During a walk though a lower field, I stumbled across this - a 1973 Jeep J4000 Pick-Up truck that somehow, in spite of this being upstate NY where Salt is the 4th season of the year, is still in mostly one piece. Today I take a quick peek through, and decide if it's gonna be worth tinkering with for kicks.

Nice old Jeep. It was a fully equipped luxury model in it's day. My Uncle who was also a Farmer had a 1971 J - 4000 with a 350 V8 and 4 speed manual transmission. The 360 V8 in your subject truck was a much better engine than the Buick 350 my Uncle had. In fact he used up 2 350's in the life of that truck. I believe your subject truck could be restored to life given enough time and money. What you plan to do with it will determine it's value going forward. Good score and good luck with the project.
