For me the best change Samsung made this year was to offer the Snapdragon version in Europe. For me that was the biggest reason i upgraded from my s20 to the s23 ultra
Same here. Exynos was horrible and it cost same amount than snapdragon. It was bullshit.
And gave horrible camera for exchange. This time they put they own sensor in a phone.Only thing that Samsung know how to make is display, everything other is from other company that is good.
That's funny because I also currently have a s20 ultra right now and that's why I'm looking at videos about the 23.
Not only in Europe but they stopped shipping with exynos. Here in Brazil is snapdragon too
@@ivanosijek2306Iphone uses Samsungs displays and chipset is from China.. What is your point?
For shutter lag check out the camera assistant in the camera settings. There is an option for quick tap shutter
Wait why wouldn’t that be the default
@@CallMeVidd Because it takes a hit on picture quality
@Vidd. Because samsung programs their cameras to snap on the release of the shutter button instead of the initial press
While I like that Samsung adds so many options, It would have been better to be able to acces it more quickly. They should make a mode in the camera app when you have to take a photo of kids and animals. Instead you have to activate something you may dont want on all the time since it takes a hit on quality.
@@sungjinwoo8822 no it doesn't he was talking about snapping on photo when you touch the capture button
What I found is, if you want to see more natural photos on your phone, change the screen mode from vivid to natural. It will make a difference since the default mode is vivid on the S23 ultra. I tried it with my phone and it makes the difference to see natural photos.
I upgraded from a note 10 to the S23 Ultra and I love it. I love the battery life, the smoothness and the overall performance. I can use my phone over 10h a day and that's so amazing
How big of a improvement is it? I've been on a note 10 plus since 2019
@@jordanfish6003 everything to OS to speed, battery
Bro happy for you seeing those kids grow up bro and you doing your thing I’m proud of you. Continue the grind and the best of the best videos CZcams has to offer stay humble and blessed to have your videos available. Thank you brother much love.
Austin being the comedian just made my day. I'm glad you have him with you
I just got mine delivered! Not using it until I get a screen protector at least though. The design is amazing, 9/10. Only problem being camera bumps. My S20 Ultra had a boring design so that's a huge improvement for me.
Austin has got so big, i remember when you guys just had him like it was yesterday and look at him now! Cute kid!
I can’t wait to see how you guys customize the new studio space! Congrats!
Wow time flies Austin is growing fast😊👍🏾
Ive had mine for about 2 weeks now and I freaking love it! Highly highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade
yooo
I want to get it, but i'm worried if it's too big. How's the phone in your pocket and hand?
@J.T. I have big hands but its perfect for me. And I wear cargo shorts or scrub pants so no it fits with room to spare
@@bigman3 Thanks. How's the 200MP and 50MP camera as well?
@@lan92034 for the 200MP one, you gotta be REALLY still to get a good shot, and they take up a ton of storage. I also haven't really found a use for either 50MP or 200MP yet tbh
To help on the blurry photos I switch to pro mode, leave everything on auto except shutter speed and I adjust it. They come out great!
Outside of the awesome review of the phone, I love that you include your little one on the videos. Keep it up my man!
love these real day in the life videos! they are great! thanks
Shutter lag fix: camera assistant in goodlock let's you choose priority for speed vs quality, and quick shutter toggle that takes the pic when you touch the button instead of let it go
Great video as always.
I've upgraded my S21 to this phone, and yes, I can say, although I'm super happy and absolutely satisfied (for the time being at least, like after 4 days of usage), it was not by any means a necessary upgrade. In the past maybe a couple of years would be a great time to upgrade, I believe we are at the point where even after 3 or even 4 years, these devices would hold up pretty well!
What is your screen on time?
@Enes Turhan I've never killed my battery so far, and after a 12hrs shift, with an average of 5 to 6 hours on screen, I'm coming back at home with around 20%. (Sometimes a bit less sometimes a bit more. At least that's the case for the first day on which I was home and the other 3 I was working so far).
P.s. That's mainly using WiFi as I am at work, but having everything maxed out though. Like the brightness, I have it on 100%, "adaptive brightness" off, and "extra brightness" on. I also have the "Always on Display" feature on, and lastly, I have Bluetooth always on for my Sony earbuds and my Samsung Galaxy Watch.
Still rocking my galaxy note 9 from 2018. 👍
@mollerbt Most of us should do the same. These are solid phones. I know that me myself, am changing devices way more often than I have to and most importantly than I need to.
i am still on my galaxy s10 and have no reason to upgeade. More speed wouldn't do anything for my usage and i still got the micro sd slot + headphone jack.
Turn off the scene optimizer in the normal camera app. It'll solve the over brightening problem.
Wow it’s been a while I watched your videos , Austin is grown up already ! ❤❤❤❤🎉
Keeping my S21 ultra another year. Great day review!
finally I've been waiting for this video
Dude I love your videos! Only real review that shows how its used in a daily task way. Great content as always.
There's a camera assistant app that can help combat the shutter lag. You can take the shutter to when you push it as opposed to release the button
Thank you for this. I upgraded from my Note 10+ to the S22 Ultra a few months ago. It is great! I keep my Note 10+ with the 512GB SD card with all of my 30000 songs to play my music with. Probably looking at the S24 Ultra or S25 Ultra for my next phone.
We was all the same, no kid wants to go to school 😂😂. Seeing Austin grow up through the videos is awesome ❤
i got mine 2 weeks ago and I got the cream colored too. So far I've been enjoying the long battery life and the fast charging time, esp since I'll be taking this to Japan in the next 2 weeks. I'm gonna need it cause I'll be camping on google maps and using the camera the whole time I'm there.
My personal experience: Normally I upgrade my phone every year, but have stopped from the S20+ to S21+ and waited until the S23 Ultra. Big upgrade that made my life even easier... such as the battery life. The brightness on the screen is a big difference when using out in the sun, I can finally see everything on my S23 Ultra compare to my S21+. It is incredibly smooth with the new processor. And I am actually surprise that I like using my pen often ~ especially to play games with it ~ Pokemon Go & Team Fight Tactics
i got the iphone 14 pro. talk to me in 1.5 years and let's compare phones :)
how is a 6.8 for everyday?
I have iPhone 14 Pro Max but dang, this Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra lookin’ clean af 🤩
Feels like it was yesterday you guys had that beautiful child they grow up quickly
Austin growing up so fast!
God bless him! ❤️
I've been waiting for this video. Thank God the wait is finally over
Aka thank God he let apple's meat rest for a bit🙏 lock jaw game serious. Everyone else was done reviewing apple and had time for s23 ultra but not Mr average. But in glad he finally got the permission from Steve Jobs to make this review 🙏
Just discovered your channel subscribed hopefully some camera updates will fix the issues
OMG Long time follower just made a new profile holy crap your lil man got big bro!
Wow they grow up so quick blessings man love your vids
I look forward to these videos every time a flagship comes out 😁 I love Samsung but I agree with the camera. It’s always washing me out or like adding this weird blur face effect even with messing with the camera toggles it just doesn’t look as good as iPhone. That’s my only issue. If it wasn’t for that I’d 100% switch to Samsung
Austin has grown up so much!! Time freaking flies and he’s just so damn cute.
Really random but I love the fact that they have a slot for 2 physical SIMs which is one reason that makes it better than other phones
I've been waiting for this video from February 1st
I cannot tell you how much I can relate to the moment you said, "You don't have too....... that's great.". To your todler haha.
Toddler dads cab ALL relate!
Try the camera assistant for controlling your shutter speed.
It feels like Austin was just born. How time flies.
Was wondering on this as an upgrade from my ancient S9. You sold me on it, and your channel. Keep up the awesome work dude!
Even I am using S9 plus.. You are planning to upgrade ? I am planning to buy tomorrow
I just upgraded from an s9 as well, ordered mine on Amazon last night. Green!
Wow I upgraded from s9plus to z flip 3
Just watching this 3 months after, and I can tell you this is indeed Samsung's best smartphone yet. I switched from the Z Fold 4, and I've never been happier.
When I get notification of your video , I thought it's unboxing video....!!!
Tesla uses google maps for the front end but the software is actually in house to allow for range data and supercharger locations presumably.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I do believe that even if you have the S22 Ultra, it might still be worth upgrading to the S23 Ultra. I mainly say this because of the battery, the speakers, and the processor combined with new fast storage. (You can throw the camera changes in, but I don't think it's significant.) I don't think people are emphasizing the battery life and speakers being much more improved than the previous model. With the same usage as before (I'm a pretty heavy user), I'm getting up to 2 days of battery life, whereas with the S22 Ultra, it would get me just about to the end of the day. The speakers are much better on the low end as well, as good if not better than the iPhone Pro Max from my experience. The new processor and fast storage also make the phone very smooth. For reviewers, it might not be a big change compared to the phones they have reviewed, but for anyone with an existing S series phone, if you can afford it, this is the phone to get. I can, more confidently than ever, say that this phone gives me everything I have wanted - the long iPhone level battery and smooth user experience combined with Android level freedoms and power to use the phone as a mini do-it-all computer.
I upgrade to the 23U from the 22U. I watched a lot of reviews comparing these 2 phones. Before I made my decision.👍
Let's see what my dude Judner is up to!!!!
You have an amazing family, God bless you all ❤️
Love the phone, I might change to Samsung again
😂😂 why I thought Jay was a brotha this whole time. Still a brotha just not the brotha I was thinking off. I love when we get to see the team. Great video.
Yea man those gold accents on the Tesla look boss! It's subtle but once you notice it really pops against the shimmery white.👍
Not sure if i should upgrade from s20 plus! Got my one ui 5.1 update today and this phone is still fast with zero lag... Maybe the camera is the only area that will improve but is that worth the cost 😕
“Aside from those sides”
Great word choice.
The best a Day in The Life Smartphone reviewer.
Luv U man!❤️
Bro i was waiting for this video
That Intro 👌
Yay! Another day in the life!!!
If they added the power button fingerprint sensor from the folds and flips I think that would be an upgrade
The video i’ve been waiting on
For shutter lag, you must use burst mode, pressing the button a few seconds without release it. It will take multiple shots or in the camera settings you can Prioritize speed over quality to take kids and pet pictures.
Lol nice try it still sucks
Doesn't work. Photos of moving kids and pets in low light still suck.
Also swiping the shutter button.
@@Brass_Tax better than your phone
@A M I have iphone 14PM and S23U so unlike you I own both, don't be a bias butthurt dolt. It's ok to say iphone is better or samsung isn't up to par or vice versa, one day you will mature and understand.
Good lock camera assistant quick shutter helps with shutter lag
Great review
When Austin said, "Say cheeze". Soo cute
How do you get that moving/tilting animation for the lock screen wallpaper when you tilt the phone?
Please also do a real day test video on regular s23
How about more in depth in areas of does it perform well under heavy load? Like editing vidoes on it using Dex mode or is that still a thing?
While taking pictures use the volume buttons to reduce the shutter lag.
Upgraded from my S20 FE and it is for sure a huge upgrade and love the phone so far
I have the same phone. What's the biggest difference you've noticed?
@subcon959 my top 3 biggest differences are screen size, battery, and smoothness
Download camera assistant - use prioritize speed and processing for better shutter lag input
Shutter lag can be solve with camera assistant. It is an official apps from samsung
Man Austin got big ASF kids man they grow outta control
Samsung could have placed the bottom speaker on the right side instead of the left. Hand sometimes cover it when handheld like gaming for example
The solution to the shudder lag is the motion picture it has a feature that allows you to take pause and logo you press like a screenshot you'll miss nothing
Great video. I've been waiting for it... I upgraded from the pixel 7 pro needed better battery life
@uravgconsumer. Great review! What wallpaper did you use on the S23 Ultra?
Fir shutter lag problem, you can change settings>camera assistant > (quick tap shutter and shutter speed).
The last part of the video is exactly what I was wanting to know. As I have the s22 ultra I was wondering if it was worth the upgrade? Thanks for that answer 👍
question what will happen to ur old studio jud?
The best review so far on this phone.
First viewer from South Africa 🇿🇦
Shutter lag was one point to go to Apple and the Apple Watch. Wish they would have the same quality in this topics then I would change immediately
"I'm not someone who pulls it out often, but it's there". Story of my life.
Ain't been this early in a long time
In the camera go to more and select single take. Thats the best for shutter lag
The S23 Ultra's form factor remids me of the Nokia Lumia 930 model...with metal Chasis. exactly as that
I miss lumia and windows phone a lot. Still hearbroken that it died and microsoft didn't push it. But it does remind of the lumia 930 Deeply
Just upgraded from an iPhone 11 to the Samsung s23 ultra (yeah, I’m a little late) & couldn’t be more stocked. The sky is the limit when it comes to Samsung phones and their android base🤷🏻♂️
For your man cave which desk do u use and what lengths
Things that Samsung could've improve but didn't:
• Faster wired & wireless charging
• Smaller chin
• Eliminate the shutter lag
However Samsung is doing a good job on making screen less curve and improving the camera. Hope to see a more innovative S24 Ultra next year 🤞
the shutter lag is only on 200mpx modes
@@jozhfy you sure about this ? Its only in 200 mp mode ?
@@silentrage1985 yeah
Yeah bro chin is too huge i didnt like it i hope s24 ultra will fix that
A faster shutter speed too, so we can easily capture moving objects without motion blur... I'd say this one is even more important for most people than the shutter lag (also, many people seem to confuse the 2 issues)
Nice video again
Question
Have you heard about apex mobile shutting down?
As an apex player yourself what are your thoughts on this?
Great video. Is it just me or does the camera on this phone have a haze to it? It seems like it does in every video I watch about this phone.
Can the camera tests be redone with scene optimizer turned off?
I love it but a smaller chin, and 6.9 in display like the note 20 ultra, but they hit it out the park. The s22 ultra was good but they fixed everything with the s23 and I love that the camera rings matches the phone now when they didn't before
It should be noted you need a 100w USB-C cable aka a 5A USB-C cable to get super fast charging 2.0 enabled on a 45w/65w power brick to get a full charge under an hour. Until you have both, it will only use super fast charging and that's well over 65 min to fully charge.
Wow I like the look of Anker it's so slim.
Edges have shrunk slightly almost for every model. But they should keep it as it is now on the Ultra/Note
7 hours screen on time on my regular S23,i'm happy with the form factor,if anyone have any curiosity about the phone you can ask me
Yes, I am considering buying the S23, and I am currently borrowing an S22 to see if the size is right. I do not game or watch videos, so the S23's size, weight and design would be perfect. That SOT is more than I need, 3-4 hours, so it should be fine. Is your one the 256GB model, which has faster RAM and storage, or the 128GB? If the latter, does it impact at all?
@@andyH_England Its the 256 GB
Just picked mine up today; setting aside my 14 Pro Max to see if this really is an improvement over the last series
What’s your thoughts on s23U over last years S22U also do you think it’s better then iPhone 14 pro max
Austin just steals the scene ☺️
This phone is the greatest yet, ultra impressive 🔥🔥🔥
Would love to see more insight into the video capabilities at 4k/60. I was left disappointed by the S21Ultra/S22.
Love the curved edges. Feels smaller and easier to hold than the iPhone 14 pro max
I just ordered mine for the camera quality (mostly), upgrading from an S21.
This phone is amazing. I got it last week major upgrade from my iPhone.
