I stopped at the visitor center on August 14, 2017. Very nice facilities and very interesting to see the saloon/ courthouse & also the "Opera House", which is an adobe construction with a wide roof completely around the house. No kitchen, or any partitions, just one big room with a cast iron wood stove. Tough times in those days.
I never heard of this channel until I looked up the Robert E Howard museum and Bucket List gave it a visit. So I figure maybe the guy visited the Judge Roy Bean site, and sure enough he did! Happily subscribed. My parents and I went there when I was a teenager in the mid ‘80s. The movie has been a family favorite growing up.
Disappointing that Roy Bean is implied to be a corrupt judge in this video, but here is one of his quotes ! "When you slithered out of your hole that day and spewed your venom over that defenseless young girl you made this court's list of the worst criminals this land has to offer. In a way the best sentence would be no sentence at all because if you left this court house I very much doubt you would be alive in five minutes. You are nothing but a weed among the wheat. I was there a few weeks ago. Plus the view from the scenic lookout just down the road (shown early in the vid) is marvelous.
