I’m so so so sorry that Shaykh Hamza is constantly having to defend himself, what is this? We need to be keeping this man in our dua, if you don’t know him- read his books, articles, his audio sets and you will see what a beautiful soul and blessing he is to this ummah. If/when we lose Shaykh Hamza- we will lose something immense. May Allah protect our people of knowledge and allow us to benefit from him - Ameen!

Big Muslim Mama - Mrs.Civgin i totally agree with you sister. Hamza Yusuf is a an extraordinary man. We are lucky to have a teacher like him in our life time. I would often feel a little envious hearing my parents talk about Islamic scholars in there young days that were people who really effected them in a positive way and changed the way they understood Islam. I think for myself and my wife its Hamza Yusuf. May Allah give our shaykh a long life and the highest rank in paradise. Ameen.

As a Traditional Catholic I've listened to many of Shaykh Hamza's discourses and find him to be intelligent, well educated and Muslims should be grateful to God for him among them.
I'm pretty much an atheist/agnostic, but Shyakh Hamza Yusuf is just an amazing source of knowledge, wisdom, and theological history and principles, one can't help but be impressed.

I want to see Sheikh Hamza Yusuf and more Islamic scholars come to speak to all Americans, not just the American left. People can be educated that Islam is a beautiful religion and many have ‘seen the light”, for want of a better phrase. I learned that it is and have talked to others who see that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism or harming people. Sure I get frustrated at times with trying to teach people the truth. I was stubborn against the truth, but I met Muslims and learned they are wonderful people. Don’t give up. Those who make people believe that Islam is bad are meeting their fate and learning that their judgment was wrong. Allah is truth.
May Allah bless sheikh Hamza Yusuf...you are without doubt one of the greatest scholars of Islam...May Allah continue to increase your knowlgdege..

If you want things to change, we have to be proactive, May he have success in this life and the next. Ameen! I am rooting for him, he is a light in a dark house....Maybe it is called Whitehouse for something, we are yet to discover. He is going to have to have so much patience. The fact he is there with his prayers to the ALmighty and Angels surrounding him, as well having with proper knowledge of the truth......., that has to give us hope. He is praying for good, for justice, and the betterment of society. Jazakallah Khair!

The fact that Shaykh Hamza sees the need to address this as an issue, speaks to the selective ignorance on the part of his critics.
Mashallah Hamza Yusuf is excellent. We need to be more like Yusuf and less like Hijab. Too many Muslims living benefitting from the west while hating it istagfirallah.
The Quran instructs Muslims to "Be maintainers of justice and bearers of true witness for Allah, even if it (the truth) goes against your own selves or parents or relatives or someone who is rich or poor."

Oh my god thank you for this comment. So true the last thing you said. But I guess he is a true sage then. He has to do all the work. I really hope more muslims with solid education of Islam and science will step up and step out and be ready to follow at least some of Hamza Yusuf's examples. Our younger generations will lose something great when he is gone one day...This makes me sad and realize the dire situation we muslims are in

It was the Black people of 'Kemet' ("Egypt"-Greek) who taught the Greeks law/rational thinking etc. as admitted by their scholars of antiquity. In the blinking of an eye the Muslims mastered the Greek and Lating SUCCESSFULLY CHALLENGED the Hellenistic learning with pristine pure tenants of the Qur'an and the wisdom of Muhammad the last messenger of ALLAH saaws and simply for free reintroduced Hellenistic learning back to the Europeans. Much of what we known today about Hellenistic learning was preserved by the Muslims.

It's the neocons, who are in the service of the zionists. Trump is an independent and has shown remarkable restraint when it comes to military intervention in the middle east, as far as Republicans go, but he had to give in and please the neocons (all of whom were against him and they still hate him) because he needs their support to survive politically. You have people like Tucker Carlson, whose opinion Trump supports, who is also vehemently against any wars in the middle east. If the Democrats had the ability to look at the reality rather than follow their blind emotions, they would understand what an opportunity Trump was compared to people like Bush. Instead, they ended up praising Bush when the latter attacked Trump, which shows how far gone into their own delusions the Democrats have descended.
Trump ran on an anti-war platform, if the Democrats had any brains they would have pressured him to make good on those promises but instead they backed Trump right into the hands of the neocons. In fact, i remember many of them were unhappy when he attempted to pull out of Syria but suddenly you had people like Hillary Clinton praising him when he bombed that Syrian base, which really says everything. And how do we know he didn't kill Soleimani only because the neocons black mailed him during the impeachment farce, that was started by the Democrats?

This proposed Islamic law be inferred from hadith, reports of what the Prophet, his leading Companions, and the Followers had said or done, without significant resort to reason. Thats why Imam Malik (ra) rejected many hadiths you probably believe today. Also it takes years of study to see why Imam Shafii(ra) influence was in the later ninth century, where rationalistic jurisprudents took up many of the forms formerly peculiar to the traditionist-jurisprudents largely the fiqh today. LEARN your Islam fool...

I have great respect for Imam Maalik and no one says that he was wrong in his time. But Imam Maalik also said if you find something I said that goes against the Sunnah than reject it!

And the arabic I call it 'propaganda' of of the last few decades was just heavily promoted by the French to divide the colonies and was later supported by Saudi Arabia ...
