"I wonder if you could talk more about changing necklines on top-down items. I hate things up around my neck and am always trying to lower/widen the neckline. Do I just start the pattern later? Thanks so much."

Thank you for this video blog, Carol. You answered not one, but two, questions that have really been bugging me. I’m an older lady that doesn’t look good in wide open necked sweaters any more. And lots of summer knits have very open necks in their designs. If you have any more tips about this, please share them down the road!

I love your lace-sided sweater exactly as you are wearing it, even over the striped dress - I did not find it competing. It just gave a bit of "mystery" at the sides and looks decidedly interesting - I would absolutely wear this myself!

This was very helpful as are all your videos😊. I was wondering, if I find a sweater pattern I love but it isn’t written up to my size (only off by one size) would it work to just increase to a thicker yarn and bigger needle and still knit it as written instead of redoing all the math? I’m dyslexic so following a pattern can be challenging enough some days without having to redo the numbers. Just curious 🙂

That sounds like a future video! It could work but you’ll have a different fabric. Plus both row and stitch gauge would be different. You can recalculate the expected size.
