I tried using a non-touch screen lcd pannel and it did work, however it doesnt fit quite exact to the bezel covers probably because the touch screen one has a thicker bezel... anyways, just wanna say thank you for this helpful guide 🙂

The trick is making sure all the wires are routed exactly how they was when it came apart or it won't go back together all the way without a fight

I've done quite a few of these touchsmarts and the screens are crazy expensive. You can usually get a complete laptop or one with a bad motherboard for half the price then swap screens and keep the rest of the parts for inventory. My girlfriend hates that word. Lol

+dwarfminerwillie No it will not work. The screen and digitizer for this are assembled as one and has to be replaced with the exact one.
