Love the way it all turned out - but I also loved it right from the beginning, before you started to tilt it.
With that one black corner as a teaser, can you imagine how fabulous it would look leaving more negative space with these colors. Nicely done.
Pamela Goodyear yes! Itâs my next video Iâm hoping! Pouring tonight!
@@SarahMackArt hope you use lots of the sapphire blue again !!! Its amazing with the black. đđđ
Oh I was hoping youâd leave it be! I was screaming đ± âno more tiltingâ as I loved the bigger blue cloud formation. However it turned out pretty and I love the lines.

Thanks Sarah! Your work is so wonderful. I just got started and have paintings I donât know what to do with now!
Thank you! Happy paintingđđ»đ
You can always repour over top of the ones you dont like. I do it all the time , i just slap a coat of white base on it and start over none of the old colors show through at all and if I decide right after pouring & tilting that I dont like it I just scrape off the wet paint and start over. Saves a ton on buying canvases. Lol. đđđđ
When in doubt, leave it. Walk away for a few minutes, refresh your eyes, then come back and see it again with fresh eyes.
Wow!! Its gorgeous. I love the lines so much đ€đ€đ€
Thank you đđ
We love this painting and the beautiful blues and greens! Sending you much love and big hug ~Cheryl and Mark
I love your tips about consistency!! Like the stick standing up 4 ring pours means you'll get well defined rings!!? Lol I've been thinking em down WAY to much!!đ
Lovely work ..amazing.
I am new in pouring ..i have a problem. When i put my color on the white ..it spreads around it forming like a pale ring around it ..makes it look very bad ..then it becomes bigger .i don't know what i did wrong ...
I am from Egypt. .we don't have floertrol ..i use glue and water
Can you help ..thank you
So from what I know...your base coat is too thin đ so the other paints sink
Hey, Sarah. Iâve never heard of ArtMinds paint. Where can I buy it and the colour again was?
Wriggles West the color is metallic sapphire and I buy them at michaels. They are wonderful
Love the colors but I liked it best with the beautiful center still in it. Thanks for sharing
Linda Gowin thank you!
It would benefit you and others to walk around the table and see your beautiful artwork from all angles before you spread and mess up the most beautiful parts... check out minute mark 19:28... do you see the tunnel cave of light with water rolling out? If makes you feel like you could get lost in there...I would have bought that painting. It draws the imagination... and that is what these painting are all about. Thank you for doing these and standing behind the table so that we see your work. Love the colors!!!
Thank you! And yes Iâll try to do that! Wish I had seen it đ
I agree with Susan Wallace! It was so pretty at the time of 19:28, and would have a great place to stop spreading the paint. Beautiful work though! I love the color choices! đâ€â€â€
Amazing color bands and beautiful colors! Big happy hugs ~Cheryl and Mark
your sense of color is sublime I always say 'if anyone can do it, Sarah Mack can!!'
Thank you so much đ
I love everything about this piece but the gold on green striating lines going into the dark ones are purely brilliant. You really work well even without your coffee. Love it.
Thank you so much! đ
Oh, I love this! Next ring pour I do I am adding black, it adds so much interest to it! Beautiful colours and lines.
I loved the ring pour. I would have loved to see more black negative space. I guess there was too much paint on the canvas that had to be stretched and poured off. I have just looked up the amount of paint needed for a 16 x 16 and it says 11 oz.
I have a chart that says the same 11 oz for 16x20 . Can I ask what chart you have or where you found it ?? Mine is just one I found on Pintrest or somewhere but the SAM site says 20 oz for 16x20 depending on the thickness of the canvas so I have no clue which is most accurate so I just try to stay in that range to make sure I always have enough. I learned the hard way it's better to have too much than not enough. !! Lol. đđđđ
Hi Julie-i have a screen shot of a chart Iâd be happy to send it to you. If u connect to me via either of my links above I can send it. Or I can send it via email. My email is samackart@yahoo.com. Shoot me a message and Iâll be happy to send it to you. đ
the chart I have states 4 x 4 1oz, 5 x 7 1 oz , 6 x 6 1 oz, 8 x 8 2 oz, 8 x 10 3 oz, 9 x 12 4 oz, 10 x 10 3 oz, 10 x 12 4 oz, 11 x 14 5oz, 12x12 5oz, 12 x 16 7oz, 12 x 16 7oz, 12 x 36 15oz, 14 x 18 9 oz, 15 x 30 16 oz, 16 x 20 11oz, it also says you should add extra for the sides, BUT as your canvas is only 16 x 16, i wouldnt add the extra 4oz to make it up for the 16 x 20. if hat makes sense. lol
@@SarahMackArt ok cool thanks soooo much. !!! đđđđđđ
@@rosemarycodron2634 thank you. !!! đđđđđ
Love the ring pour!! The colors together were fabulous †One question.. Do you always mix your paints on the thick side?
Yes for a ring pour I do đ
@@SarahMackArt i am still and forever learning new ways and skills ... I am sorry if i offended . I ask because I am gonna try this next time I do a ring pour :) thanks so much â€âș
Lisa Fullerton goodness no you did not offend me in any wayđđ đ pouring is a constant learning process even I am still learning.
Stunning Sarah I truly enjoy watching all your videos. Youâve taught me so much!
really like that feather affect in the ring pour center!beautiful color combination...
Thank you!
You did it again! Just when I think you can't wow me again...you go & do it! I love your work!
Beth Winger awww thanks!!
Another great pour....you do so many paints!!!! I'm really flashed. Are you working day and night??
I work all day and only pour in the morning before work after I get the three kids off for the day or I pour at night when everyone is sleeping đ€Ł then I go to bed and wake up starting a new day!
Loves it how do you varnish going to do one have satin varnish by Atelier Traditional hope its ok i also have art glass which works well.
I use a gloss varnish by rustoleum and a satin one (uv protectant). It depends i guess on the painting. Krylon also has a UV Archival one. Thatâs perfect too
I find Minwax Polycrylic Varnish very effective and is my favorite; Rustolum is my next best; have not had good results with Krylon.
Love it but relate to âshould I shouldnât I stretchâ and thank you for answering my other comment re when you mixed the paint - blew my theory out the park lol
karen hall no problem! I try to answer all questions
The amazing color bands of this painting are so very crisp and make me want to touch them! Happy hugs ~Cheryl and Mark
Love the color palette, where do you get your 16x16 or larger 1 and 1/2 profile canvases?
Thank you! I got this one from Hobby Lobby
@@SarahMackArt Thanks, I have only found the larger ones on Jerry's online so I will check my local stores, thanks again for the info.
@@annanirathsi1111 Hobby Lobby & Michael's both carry nice canvases in all different sizes & Michael's always has great deals on packs of canvas. I stock up on all the sizes everytime they have a sale. Lol. đđđ
Julie Rositer you are a girl after my own heart! My soul sister!
@@SarahMackArt hahaha. !!! I live at that place & watch for the good sales on art supplies and I cant even really paint yet. I just started getting into all this about a month ago. I've done some ok stuff but nothing really to be proud of but I sure as heck have everything I need & a huge supply of it. Hahaha I just have to keep practicing, watching videos & learning from the best like you girl !!! I fall asleep almost every night with my phone in my hand from watching videos. Hahaha. Saw the pour you did last night then woke up & watched the black & white version you did this morning. Lol. That's why I'm always asking so many questions & trying to understand so much . Hope you dont mind .. I hate being a pest . đđđđ
Sarah what size are your plastic cups - 7 oz, or l5oz, and 10 oz for the cup with black paint? I am new to your videos, but Iâm enjoying them immensely. Love your Pours!â„ïž
Most likely a 18oz cup đ thank you for watching! Iâll go an watch it to let you know
Yes itâs an 18oz cup for the black and the others were 8oz cups
We appreciate that Serena suggested that you use black in this ring pour. Amazing color bands and we love how the greens and blues pop! Hugs and blessings ~Cheryl and Mark
I think ring pours are beautiful on a black background
I'd love to see you do a straight/galaxy pour with a black background. I can't even imagine how stunning it would be
Ok! Iâll do it today!
Hello Sarah I enjoy following you because you give great details and always give the brand and colors youâre using which has me buying a great amount of products but Iâm still trying to get over the hurdle to do as you did because some of my attempts have been unsuccessful lol but hey practice makes perfect. Great job keep it up soon I will be able to donate towards your channel. Stay healthy
Hi Sarah ... is it the paints being on the thicker side that help it retain such amazing lines, ?? I've got the cloudy part down and when I 1st pour it looks perfect but then when I start tilting no matter how slow I go i always manage to lose my lines & does it make a difference on how much of each color layered in the cup that determines how the lines form ?? I've watched hundreds of videos & you are one of the best ring pours and make it look so easy & natural to do but its driving me absolutely bonkers. I only do pouring for fun & relaxation I have no interest in selling or any of that but I just always like to do well at whatever it is I'm doing. Thanks for sharing and i would greatly appreciate any advice or tips on keeping my lines if you dont mind. Amazing pour as usual. !!! đ„°đ„°đ„°đ„°đ„°đ„°
Yes absolutely đ paints on thicker side are key!
@@SarahMackArt ok great thank you so much for the tip I really do appreciate it. "!!!! đđđđđđđđ
@@SarahMackArt I have watched this at least 3 times now and I can't wait to use my art minds sapphire it is sooooo much prettier than any other sapphire I have found !!! đđđđ„°đ„°đ„°đ„°
Julie Rositer yes itâs fabulous! The whole line of metallics is great!
@@SarahMackArt yep I have almost all of the colors available at my Michael's & a few of the iridescent colors they are very pretty also....some of them are just so so thick I'm not sure how much of the really super thick ones to use . Some of them I have had to use a little baby spoon to get the paint out so it doesnt plop out in one big mound. Lol. I bought a large jar of their white soft gloss & mixed with the artists loft flow acrylic and put a splash or two of the milk paint and got some cool cloudy effects with it and some I mixed with only the artists loft to use as a base . I like to play with the whites to see how well they work with pouring. My Michael's is always out of the satin enamel 8 oz jars ever since MelyD created the cloudy effect. Lol. So it's like out of stock everywhere here even online . People buy it up as soon as they stock it on the shelf. !!! Lol. So today I bought some of the cream shade to mix with the artists loft white figuring it will hopefully turn it white enough . đđđđ
Your explanations are awesome. I am in Australia and would love to attend a workshop but obviously not possible.
Another beautiful pour. Canât wait to see the video of finished pieces for your show! I hope itâs a huge success!
Thank you!
Absolutely fabulous! what a great job you did! Thank you!
Thanks!!
We love the beautifully crisp color bands, the color palette, and the extra movement you achieved with that last little pour. Big hugs ~Cheryl and Mark
I so love the pastel near the black corner. Really lovely.
đ thank you
I actually liked it a little more before more tilting took place, but it can be so challenging to know when is enough and when something more will make it better. I have wrecked a few pours because I thought I could improve the painting and ended up totally destroying it instead. At least this still came out nice. My last two pours ended up with all the paint being scraped into the trash. So sad. The close-up detail on this is amazing. I love how the metallic paint shimmers above the other paint. It's so pretty.
Thank you đđ
Sarah!!!! NO NO NO!!! But it still turned out gorgeously after the tilting. "The Eye of The Hurricane".
Thank you so much âșïž
You inspire me with every pour! So amazing, thank you for sharing

Fabulous! Far out! Beautiful! Love this magical painting.
Turned out beautiful!!!
I love the lines as well and gold is my favorite metallic.
Amazing bands of colors, Sarah! Hugs ~Cheryl and Mark
Love the lines and the blues and greens look like mother of pearl. Beautiful. I do agree with previous comments that at around 19.25 it was at its best and would have been good to stop there. However, you may have had too much paint still on the canvas and had to stretch it some more. Turned out gorgeous though - as always đ đđđ
At 17:27 all i can see is an old record player, all that's missing is the needle arm. How retro would that be! Lovely..
So pretty - I am always so jealous of your pours. Do you ever just want to stop when you finish the ring pour? SOOOO amazing!!!
Thank you âșïž
We're enjoying watching you create beautiful art! Hugs ~Cheryl and Mark
We like this one so much that we wanted to see it again today! Big happy hugs ~Cheryl and Mark
Hi Sarah, can you add the list of the colors you used please? â€ïž
Kathryn Campbell sure! Check the updated description.
I'm happy you stretched it. Beautiful as always đ

What if you tap the cups of paint on the table to get rid of the air bubbles! Like you would when you make a cake.
Yep that works but only so much. Eventually the torch gets used
Love the black corner!
Wow looks really awesome you are right about the colors and the lines in the flow:-)
I love those lines, awesome. It turns really beautiful đđ

what do you attribute your distinctive lines. Thickness of your paint? You even keep the lines after stretching as much as you do. Love to hear from you. Thanks.
Definitely the thickness of the paint and pouring the ring pour tightly
Outrageous âŁïž
Thatâs my favourite!
You use so much paint Sara! I understand because you mix your paint so thick for your ring pours that you need to have a lot of it on the canvas to move it , but have you ever tried a ring pour with less thick paint and less on the canvas?
For curiosity sake alone I would like to see a video of you doing a less thick ring pour with a lot less paint. đ Subscriber challenge!! đ
I loved it at 19:26 before you poured off the gorgeous center ring. I would have stopped there.
YES. I was saying to myself. Please please dont let that go off the edge & i dont understand what it accomplished or helped but I'm just a newbie trying to learn. Lol. But seemed perfectly fine to me. đđđ
@@jro9365 We each have our likes. I tend to stop sooner than most, as I like negative space on my ring pours.
@@hannahhunter520 yeah I think the negative space looks pretty cool on just about any pour !! đ„°đ„° like I said I'm pretty new so I definitely wasnt judging but rather trying to understand . Thanks
Me too, it was the risk I was willing take though. There was too much paint (which I knew from the beginning) I may regret it but it still turned out beautiful đ
@@SarahMackArt yes it did. I haven't had problems with cracking with a lot of paint, don't know why.

@@SarahMackArt Where did you find it? Having trouble finding a 1 click torch.
