Can I beat Pokémon Black 2 with only Electric Type Pokémon using Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules?
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the first Electric Type Pokémon on each route.
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

@@bupkis3639 Flygon had repeated the same thing in different ways several times, which each time was useless. Saying that the move was redudant was enough, but they went on to add useless and of no value, which both added nothing other than the joke

It must be so weird for other trainers during a nuzlocke, like, they must be like “why not just go to the Pokemon center and get your Pokemon back?”

You should go for a fairy-type “mono” locke in a pre-gen-6 game, using only Pokémon that gain the fairy type in gen 6. I haven’t heard of someone doing something like that before, plus you get to use a bunch of less-often used Pokémon. Bonus points if you use audino and/or altaria, since they gain the type on mega-evolving.
Edit: another fun one might be a fossil-locke in either BD/SP or SW/SH, though you might need to ask your uncle jimtendo for a starter for the early routes.

In the cave that you have to go through to get to the Plasma Frigate, you can get a wild tynamo there as a rare encounter, so you could have had a full team of 6 for the end.

Finally a challenge where you use the magnemite line! In gen 5 it resists every type in the game except for fire, fighting, ground, and water, which is absolutely insane

I adore the style of explaining the character and quirks of the pokemon as the story goes on based on their nature and actions. I would love if that was done in more videos in the future, but I know writing a script is hard enough as it is without having to write characters.

It’s a shame Franklin died so early, since Encore with a ground immunity and good speed is godly for a mono electric team, basically allowing you to spam Encore to keep opponents locked into a ground move while you chip away at it. It’s amazing you managed to finish the fun without a ground immunity, so great job!
Love all your videos, but this one was especially great! All the Duplo jokes around Druddigon actually had me laughing out loud. 🤣 I've been tossing around the idea of trying a Shield Nuzlocke (maaaybe hardcore, lol) using only doggos, and your content has been a pretty big inspiration in that! I love your videos! Truly has helped me learn more about strategy, as well as being super entertaining! Have you ever considered doing a "monotype" challenge with a specific Shape/Egg-group? I think you'd be able to make that really interesting!
*RUN SUGGESTION:* An extreme Nuzlocke where you can only use one Pokémon (whose final evo is) of any given type.
So for example, if your starter is Fennekin and your first encounter on a route is Ralts, that encounter is lost, because Delphox already eats up the "Psychic type" slot on your team. This would continuously limit the Pokémon you can catch, but also determine them as you progress, meaning you wouldn't be able to plan your team ahead of time like you often can in most of your runs. Naturally, skipping an eligible encounter to save a type slot or two is a risk-reward strategy too.
Which game? Any of them, but X&Y have possibly the most expansive dex and anything pre-Fairy means one less type to use.

I actually did this challenge but wiped to clay because my etectabuzz's fire punch low rolled on the excadrill and literrally every thing else on my team didn't stand a chance since clay healed
Mono steel BW2 is nasty but fun in my experience, maybe give it a try!!!

@@BaconNuke my experience with mono steel bw2 is that your riolu doesn't get force palm til after the first gym, so you have to test the rng with strategic bides; then your next encounter magnemite is a must have later so messing up there isn't great. I've gotten like 21 attempts in most times not making it past the first gym, but it's doable if you just run around a bunch and evolve the riolu into a lucario b4 gym 1

can confirm that Magnezone is incredible, I used one on my Brilliant Diamond team and it really pulled it's weight. I actually beat Meylene's Lucario using Magnemite, because it gets both Thunder Wave AND Supersonic for that sweet sweet Parafusion combo.
Great video. One thing though, in B2/W2 the Seaside Cave can be found near Humilou City, which has Tynamo as an encounter

Galvantula became a favourite of mine when I raised an all-bug type party.
Heck yeah, Electric is my favorite type. Jolteon and Galvantula specifically are some of my favorite Pokemon of all time, so its nice to see them in action here
Honestly, monolockes for drayano hacks are extremely fun to do and watch. I've done a few non-nuzlocke monotypes of blaze black 2 and they were always amazing, considering the expanded dex and movepools.

I remember when I first played white, I needed a Pokémon to fight Skyla. So I took out the blitzle that I boxed. Long story short, it stuck around, and Zebstrika is now one of my favorite Pokémon

I'd love to see you do a dragon monolocke. X and Y are probably the best games for that since you can get dragons relatively early and they have a large selection, though you would have to face the first gym without a dragon.

I love your videos so much and rewatch them all the time, and I’ve just realised that you said you lost out on tynamo because of jolting in chargestone cave, but you can also get a tynamo in seaside cavern (i think that’s what it’s called?) just south of humilau. I only know cos i’m currently doing a white two nuzlocke and could repel manip for it. Love your videos, thank you for being so consistent :)

Very excited to see you complete the type monolockes. That said I'm always a bigger fan of your gimmick ones, getting to see a bigger variety of pokemon (or like the smeargle run, something weird like that) is really fun.
Perhaps an idea for another gimmick run is you dont have any normal pokemon restrictions, but instead you add additional rules to the nuzlocke to make it harder (and maybe play an easier game like SWSH). I dont like the "no setup moves" ones, but perhaps rules like always editing the pokemon so it has the worst nature/ivs, or only letting a held item be used for a single battle before you need to discard it and find another item/get a second copy of that item.
A cup of coffee, some toast, and a FlygonHG video in a cloudy Sunday morning is a mental treat. ❤
