We then shift to discussing the double standards in sports, particularly between men and women, using the example of athletes Daniel Brandon and Josh Bridges and how their similar reactions during competitions are perceived differently based on gender. Heather shares a personal experience to highlight the double standards and unwanted physical interactions I've encountered as a female athlete and politician, and how these encounters are indicative of broader societal attitudes towards women's strength and presence in professional settings. We also touch on how these gendered perceptions can extend to feelings of intimidation, despite personal intentions.
