It was a really great day Emma, and the food was outstanding. Lyndon is a fantastic cook. The renovation work is really impressive and they have created an amazing space for entertaining.

Sorry to have missed your Christmas dinner, but the footage of it was marvellous! What a wonderful feast you all had. Love the brussels sprouts too, one of my favourite vegetables. Perfectly done meats, delicious sides....what a grand meal. All our best!

@@rickilynnwolfe8357 I think it was a popular item in Aldi's Christmas 2018 range here in the UK Ricki Lynn, so I'd be surprised if they discontinued it. I'm not sure that it will be sold in Aldi USA though. Perhaps they have something similar. The cross-hatching and basting technique I used will apply equally to a bone-in joint.

It all looks great! I had turkey and ham this year, and a relative made homemade sage onion pork etc stuffing which was pretty neat too. I cooked the ham joint the night before and left it in the fridge so it was cold when I ate it with the dinner, and the contrast with the hot gravy......there is nothing nicer.

What a cosy Christmas dinner Pete ! When I see all that food in the kitchen and all the organisation, it gives me stress again when I think of our Christmas dinner. But it was very cosy too. Love the ham you made. Was it served cold ? The cookies on the plates, was that Yorkshire pudding ? My son, who's living in London, made yorkshire pudding on Christmas eve too. It was the first time I ate this !
