This gentlemen was years ahead of the curve and politically on point, but not in today's environment would be considered a xenophobe .what strange times we are living in .

    I’m an Englishman of Irish ancestry and believe in a free independent united ireland whic is not only free from Britain but also the EU, however I agreed with the vast majority of what Enoch Powell had to say here in the mainland I love him to bits even though I disagreed on the question of Ireland but Enoch, Oswald Mosley and Tony benn are my favourites. They had absolute conviction!

      Your right Billy
      It is Pearses Republic which includes the people of the North
      The Irish flag is green for Nationalists, orange to represent Protestant / Orangemen and white for peace between the two communities
      Jack Lynch was from Cork & a great Taoiseach
      I go to Tyrone & Derry sometimes from Kerry and you just can't get it into their heads
      I say look at all the crime in UK , acid attacks grooming gangs stabbings, false wars and ye still think that 1916 was led by terrorists

      @mojo jojo i was talking about the Republic, not the Island. The North can do what it wants. Though I don't see how different it would be if they remained part of the EU or left with the uk. @mojo jojo First of all, get fucked. I never asked for your opinion. But I guess i'll indulge you, even tho you insult me.
      What I meant was that an Ireland that has already been freed from the UK will never be free if it doesn't also leave the EU. Hence the "free from UK and EU".

      Kekistani nationalist There was no military solution to the situation in NI. The British army did not hold back particularly in the early 1970s and rather than eradicate the IRA it allowed them to grow support in their own community and abroad. It was a political problem and it had to be solved through politics and compromise, it’s a shame it took both sides 30 years of sectarian brutality to realise that

    • @isensiblehumanist993
      @isensiblehumanist993 Před 6 lety +4

      Kekistani nationalist You would usurp my right to live and prosper on the land of ancestors who have lived in Ulster for millennia. We were Ulstermen long before you Scots and you’d do well to remember that

    • @isensiblehumanist993
      @isensiblehumanist993 Před 6 lety +6

      Kekistani nationalist When the course of history plays out in full we will see if you speak with such confident arrogance. Time passes, glory fades and rationality and reason are eroding the delusional, self aggrandising world view of the Ulster Scot supremacists in every passing year. You cling to the past because you have no vision of the future, you have held on to a past the rest of Britain have left behind and which they resent you for. Ireland will be united one day, you can choose to join us in securing the Happiness and prosperity of all her children or you can return to Britain to reclaim your British identity, you will be given that choice and I can’t make that decision for you

    • @isensiblehumanist993
      @isensiblehumanist993 Před 6 lety +5

      Kekistani nationalist The demographic tide is turning towards a united Ireland, NI is a drain on Britain’s resources and she only holds on to Ulster because of a sense of duty and guilt. Partition turned Ulster from the most prosperous region in Ireland into the least prosperous region in Western Europe within a few decades. Partition was a failure and it must end

    • @isensiblehumanist993
      @isensiblehumanist993 Před 6 lety +3

      Kekistani nationalist The IRA only gained support because of the sectarian discrimination facilitated by the British government granting the Ulster Scot supremacists a “Protestant parliament for a Protestant people” as Craig called it. Carson told you to remember to take care of the nationalist minority, you didn’t and you paid the price for it. It was only when the British government came to their senses and removed the grounds of discontent that NI became peaceful again. Powell came to NI to massage his ego because he was humiliated in mainstream British politics. He pushed the hard line unionist line because it got the crowd to cheer him but that doesn’t change the fact that he was wrong
