Just picked this up at Bacchaus and Barleycorn today. Can't wait to get brewing and then enjoying!

This is by far the best IPA I have ever brewed, thank you for sharing your knowledge and research! Came out very clear for me with the help of a little gelatin. I stuck with 78 IBUs even though you raised it to 100 in the brewfather recipe.

Just had my first pint of this. Really really nice.....text book American IPA. I went 100 IBU.....but it wasn't overly biting, quite a balanced beer. Thanks for the recipe!

I just brewed a version of this recipe using Magnum, Citra, Motueka and Nelson Sauvin. It was tasty and won me a Gold in the Toronto GTA Brews Homebrew Comp! I would love to send you a bottle, but can't ship across the border unfortunately.

I don’t think you talked about BU/ Gu ratio on your videos but
I’m gonna brew this beer with some modifications on grain bill my BU/GU is 1.28 ( according to Brewfather)do you think it s too high. Shorting for 80ibu
    Thanks

Why mess with perfection? Just ordered the kit from B & B.

Just wondering how long you leave the hops in? Doesn't dry hopping on day 2 lead to grassy flavours? Also, what's your method for preventing hop/creep diacetyl. Thanks!

Honestly think there's more myth to the grassiness argument than fact

If the finished beer was too hazy, you'd be out of style for an American IPA according to BJCP guidelines it can only have a slight haze. If you're judged in a competition, you would be docked points. Though modern American commercial IPAs are going hazy if you look at recent GABF winners in that category. Has anyone brewed this beer and can attest to the clarity when fresh?

brewed twice. it takes about 3 weeks in the keg but it does turn bright. Chico strain does not retain haze very well once it drops out.

@@MeanBrews Cool. Yeah. That's what I figured. Just a litte salty after submitted a fresh American IPA for local competition and getting docked points for being too hazy and out of style though the recipe was inline with your video, with increased hop amounts. 😋 BJCP needs to catch up with reality.
