This is an awesome video, I’ve been going back and forth with my own recordings as to when to use a small and large condenser on acoustic. I came to the same conclusion. I’d love to hear your thoughts on tracking live mandolin and banjo. Keep up the good work!

On those i mostly use the large D. But depends on the song. If the arrangment is really dense a small one might work better

If you look at the track control area, you can see when he mutes one track and unmutes the other, and vice versa.
