- Been wanting a grom for quite some time and now that they have a 5th gear I ended up trading my pitbike in on this beauty. Not technically my first ride but first real ride and glad you are coming along with me while it’s in its stock form!

Hi shred , your dead right the groms are a blast , anyone who is unsure just go for it , ive 2 groms 5 speed , and monkeybike 5 speed and 4 benelli tnt’s ,the groms is the best road bike , just ,the monkey is a hoot and the seat is the best , benelli’s are impressive too , all are immense fun ,🏍🏍👍👍greeting from England , I’m a 60 year old teenager and proud of it !!

Glad you're enjoying the bike, they're great. Also best practice would to be just forget neutral and keep it in 1st at red lights so you can take off if a cage comes in to quick behind you.
I'm for sure getting one but not sure if new or used. It'll be my first. Online marketplace might be the move. I live in Mexico City so it'll be tons of fun but it's been tough finding distributors who sell new. Safe riding

They are so fun. I love mine.
I highly recommend get the shift shaft support and it will help u go into neutral a lot easier. Won’t get rid of the problem all the way but it for sure makes it a lot easier to find and also makes shifting a lot better

I've tried the Yoshimura exhaust on a grom and it sounds incredible, it's got a great crackle
I ended up with the Kemimoto Amazon exhaust and I’m very pleased with it.
Was thinking about getting one for my first bike later on, but thinking its better to maybe put the money towards a Z400 instead idk
Very nice but either you won’t be disappointed. I will say that coming from owning big bikes like gsxr750 and other medium size bikes the grom is just a blast to fool around on through town.

Yes I’ll definitely make one! I use the DJI action 2 camera usually on my helmet chin mount but new helmet so I was rocking my chest mount in this video and using my movo mini wireless microphone.
I thought I was the only one. Yeah, it’s hard to put a neutral. I just bought one. I got the red one and it’s hard to put in neutral.

My insurance is $149/year for full coverage.. had no difference in ABS/non-ABS

Well the 22 and newer is the new generation. The plastics are all new and it gets a 5th gear added as to older years only having 4 gears

Wow I wish I had more ride time. If I do ride it too work it’s only a 4 mile ride lol I’ve had it for a month in a couple days and only put 260 so far. I’ve only put an exhaust on mine

Yup, its the transmission. Its hit or miss and honda will replace it free of charge. My buddies grom was 5 months out of warranty and they still honored it.

FOREMOST INSURANCE is the best hands down they mainly deal with motorcycles boats atv etc and they r owned by Farmers Insurance from my understanding.. I have a ZX10RR and for full coverage for that bike and 2 Groms is $100 bucks and $85 of that is for the ZX10RR. Definitely give them a shot

@@robgoose8126 I have two past dwi from when I was an alcoholic so I know for a fact they have the best pricing for me atleast and a lot of ppl I ride with have the same insurance as well. I did shop around though but everyone was higher. Have u reached out to Foremost? But 3 bikes full coverage which includes free towing and all the extra goodies I can’t complain at all. Also it does depend on where u live and your age because I’m in Dallas and a lot of ppl who have a clean driving record have said they pay more and have switched to foremost. My Uncle has his own insurance thing and shops with all the companies so I know for my situation I have the best deal as of now but things will change after a few years. But nice to know there may be another company that’s cheaper for others for sure
I have a 2023 grom insured through GEICO as well. My policy is $77 for the year. I am in California if that changes anything.

Nah man you aren’t too heavy. I’m around 180 and I even take my wife with me and hit 65 with her on it with me. I’m also 6 foot tall.

The fastest I’ve had it was 72 full tuck and it takes awhile lol. I can cruise between 60-65 full throttle sitting up and flat road.

Pretty close to mine as well, $119 yearly. Loving my Grom, just wish I didnt get stuck with silver w green highlights color. Been slowly working on vinyl wrapping the whole thing, and have a vinyl cutter to make some custom Grom lettering.

@@focuskid22 I don't think a whole set of plastics was in my budget 😂. The vinyl was a fraction of the cost and I had all winter to do it. I had just bought the full Yoshi exhaust, Yoshi fender eliminator and got the lower fairing off We Bike from the "2021 HRC Grom" from Japan. Still more mods to do lol, it never ends.
