      @@TheArklyte ​ TheArklyte Rome conquered the mediterranean and won tons of battles through strategical genius and tactics. Mussolini couldn't conquer greece by himself and he had to cry to hitler for help. The only thing mussolini sucessfully conquered was ethiopia and most of their have troops didn't have any guns. He also had to use poison gas to conquer ethiopia. They only thing the italians conquered successfully was themselves when they reunited the peninsula.

      @@garrett9451 seems that that setting isnt appealing enough to the audience, probably because japan has its own history. the closest we get to that setting is likely Arslan Senki or Kingdom.
      Alexanders conquest would probably make for a goof action OVA though, you know one of those 1h short movies with little plot which were kinda common in the 80s and 90s
      its just too expensive now to make an anime which doesnt get paid via the source material sales. Or action figures for original shows. Sadly a proper alexander show doesnt qualify

    I didn't know that you could annihilate enemy forces in bridge battles until I started watching isorrow's videos (I've only played Empire and Napoleon so things are very different in those ones compared to these time periods)

      You should have played United Provinces on Empire then, abusing bridge battles is 90% of how you hold on to your capital because a bridge is the only way into Amsterdam. Park an army with lots of artillery there and no one can break in.

    Lol actually one of the devs loved the Ancient Egypt and thought including Ptolemaic Egypt would be boring since there are already fuckton of hellenic factions. So to spice the gameplay up, they added ancient Egypt. this is pretty good for gameplay reasons. Just like adding 3 playable roman factions. We all know roman republic wasn't ruled by 3 families.

    How about that originally Rome and Carthage couldn't recruit archers. Carthage, a city state with such effective citizen archers that the Roman's just burned down the city block by block. I'm referring to Rome 2. And the ancient era ended with the sack of Roma by the Visigoths, and Imhotep was named a God, under Ptah, for making the first known stone building, the step pyramid.

    The reason why Egypt does so well in the campaign is because chariots get massive bonuses in auto-resolve. The same is true with the Britons. Both of them have chariots and both of their generals start as chariot units. By the time Egypt has its reforms to end the advantage they have already taken a quarter of the map.
