Lmao
Well obviously. They needed a head start.
If i got a denar for every time that happend to me
@@dabbingsquidward5748 it really doesn't... if they didnt want to be attacked then why would they threaten to attack them.

Egyptian names described by Isorrowproductions
Someone: you're gonna get a name kid
Kid: yay
Someone: *slams his face on the keyboard*
Someone: you're name is Ptahhotep from now
@Eusko Gudariak oh shit, I realized that. Probably because I erased the first version and got lazy or something.
If only it was that easy
Ptolemy I
Ptolemy II
Ptolemy III
"Egyptian" names in RTW: Khasekhem Neos Dionysos
Egyptian names in reality:

Rome: Total War tells us there were once Italians with a competent military.
What greater fiction could there be?
I was going to post a comment but there's no point it wouldn't be nearly as good as this.
>Implying Italians weren't competent in military matters.
>Implying Rome was:D
@@TheArklyte TheArklyte Rome conquered the mediterranean and won tons of battles through strategical genius and tactics. Mussolini couldn't conquer greece by himself and he had to cry to hitler for help. The only thing mussolini sucessfully conquered was ethiopia and most of their have troops didn't have any guns. He also had to use poison gas to conquer ethiopia. They only thing the italians conquered successfully was themselves when they reunited the peninsula.
@@armannsteinn2736 you didnt get the joke you are soo dumb :)
Ehh romans were more Greek an Trojan don’t shackle them with the Italian “war machine”
Zipotes The Lewd was an underrated military commander. He was knows for taunting the enemy lines with an interpretive burlesque strip-dance routine.
Just realized that the picture of Alexander The Great everyone uses gives him big ol' anime eyes
With how hellbent Alexander was in heading east, we might have just figured out who the first weaboo was
We need an anime where the Protagonist is Alexander The Great and the Plot is his conquest.
@@garrett9451 No shit, I'd watch that as long as it's tasteful
@@garrett9451 Well, Alexander shows up in the anime Fate/Zero, although he's not the protagonist.
@@theazureknight9399 I am a fan of Fate/Zero and that is not what I seek.
@@garrett9451 seems that that setting isnt appealing enough to the audience, probably because japan has its own history. the closest we get to that setting is likely Arslan Senki or Kingdom.
Alexanders conquest would probably make for a goof action OVA though, you know one of those 1h short movies with little plot which were kinda common in the 80s and 90s
its just too expensive now to make an anime which doesnt get paid via the source material sales. Or action figures for original shows. Sadly a proper alexander show doesnt qualify
Ego has certainly been stroked by this video.
Look how they massacred your Empire.
Where's your chicken?
I'm fairly certain he wasn't just stroking your ego.
Assault Gunner where’s his boyfriend?
Please make more explaining history things. It was hilarious
Yeah, i kinda thought that his knowledge its just stuff like "Italian army sucks", "Stalin had gulags" but now id love to see something a bit more towards history than just a game
History test 500k
Well ISorrow, please do

Quite possibly even bamboozled.
Same here mate. Snow in july wtf.

"Please do not attack"
well..... i guess i will refuse then
The feeling when you realize your one yeah older then Alexander the great at his death. And you haven't conquered anything...

Ok, I might have an interesting challenge for you. Play any Total War you want, BUT! you have to accept every AI proposal and request.
This would be pretty funny in Three Kingdoms, you'll have no ancillaries.
Play Medieval 2 and instantly get vassalized by France
I think I may try this, who knows maybe I'll upload episodes. We will see :D
Do you want to know how to go bankrupt in three easy negotiations?
This game is terrible. They didnt even include the most famous Ancient Pharaoh of them all-
Kahjjdjjudjfiidotephtdgssokboteph
Huh? Which one? Kahjjdjjudjfiidotephtdgssokboteph I. the "a bit less great then Alexander"; or Kahjjdjjudjfiidotephtdgssokboteph III. the "sun king"? ;P
But what about my favorite Ptolemaic pharaoh Pehdvsiteph

6:21 ISP proofs he is a tactical genius by using the famous ancient "pacman spike" formation.
iSorrow taught me more ancient history in the first 2 minutes of this video than an entire semester of Year 7 ever could
I swear to god if I have to go another Day without and Isorrowproductions production I will sorrow everywhere.
But what about the wor...I mean best nation in Victoria 2

But also play the actual best nation tho - Fascist Babylon in Vic2
ISP:its not Christmas
CZcams recommending this to me on Christmas day:oh I don't think so
I'm really happy that isp displays his love of history by being so offended when the game isn't accurate. It's charming. Isp you have given me a smile in some tough places in my life. Thank you.
Honestly this was one of your best videos you’ve ever made
I loved the crash course through history segment.
3:01 Shaka Zulu is coming for you.

Love to see these old strategy games I played when I was a kid being brought to attention to such a big audience 🥰🥰🥰
I think this may be your best ever episode courtesy of the starting history lesson
That intro was one of the first times you've done something funny keep it up
You should do history videos like that Alexander thingy, that was amazing
This has inspired me to play RTW again as Egypt, thank you
There is an explanation for this. Egypt built the pyramids to time travel around earths history.
The Egyptians time traveled to this period of history from the bronze age.
0:09 ISP is a way better dad than you are! He lets me stay up past 8 and let me taste beer one time at Christmas! You're not my real dad!
isorrow should do a whole series of him doing history lessons similar to the one he did about Alexander's successor Kingdoms
I do not know of this meme you speak of but now the search is on my Google history.
Take a drink every time ISP says 'right now' in any of his videos

69 and 1776 in the same battle report end screen
You should play Nabatea in Rome 2 (desert kingdoms dlc) and thrash the Egyptians and Seleucids as a followup to this.
Most of the units are Bronze Age, except the Zulu who are from around the INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION.
I think i'm addicted to Isp's Total war videos
Idea: when you’re done with your games, save them and offer up the saved games for us to mess up, and send back to you for further pain.

yeah, last time when I built the Imhotep temple... an army of mummies have come and kick me
Man i forgot this was a thing. I remember playing vanilla egypt a bit. Do try RTR (Rome Total Realism) mod. They actually fix this, and most of my memories of RTW is with that mod installed.
Been looking for this video just because of the Alexader part.
Jokes on you. I started watching this video on christmas and finished it on boxing day
We need more history with isp
Idk what it is but for some reason I always go down the rabbit hole of you and total war games.
I didn't know that you could annihilate enemy forces in bridge battles until I started watching isorrow's videos (I've only played Empire and Napoleon so things are very different in those ones compared to these time periods)
You should have played United Provinces on Empire then, abusing bridge battles is 90% of how you hold on to your capital because a bridge is the only way into Amsterdam. Park an army with lots of artillery there and no one can break in.
@@joaogomes9405 well I've been meaning to play Rome II as Celtic nation's and I've been meaning to do fall of the samurai in Shogan II.
4:24 so moot is financing rebels 2000 years ago. nice
Lol actually one of the devs loved the Ancient Egypt and thought including Ptolemaic Egypt would be boring since there are already fuckton of hellenic factions. So to spice the gameplay up, they added ancient Egypt. this is pretty good for gameplay reasons. Just like adding 3 playable roman factions. We all know roman republic wasn't ruled by 3 families.
I like your way to explain history, way better than drew...
João Felipe B. Lopes i’d accept you more but you have not only a dead meme as your pfp but an lgbtq flag
Crucify him.
2:56 Literally the Italian army in ww2
Here I was somehow hoping you'd pick Numidia, who only have access to men with pointy sticks that stab, and men with pointy sticks that they don't like and throw away, sometimes hitting an enemy with it.
If you ever go back to HOI4 plz play the Equestria At War mod!
^
That would actually be hilarious
He did play it, however he snuck it under a different video which he later unlisted/deleted for reasons unknown. Daddy Soros is mildly disappointing
@Kostas anagno It hasn't ended. They are also only 1/3rd of their peak population.
ew no

I can only dream of being so great a man that I become known as 'The Lewd'.
I mean if I remember correctly the Ptolemaics did call them selves Pharaohs. So technically the whole "Pharaohs Guard" thing kinda makes sense.
The World War Two mod for Rome: Total War 2. Do it. Now.

I would love to see you play the 1942 mod for Rome Total War, its a newer mod and still pretty fresh so its not 100% stable, but im sure it will be great :D
Really?
ISP please play Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. I've already sacrificed enough children
@Colonel Leviathan I liked it tbh, its basically a space shooter on rails
How about that originally Rome and Carthage couldn't recruit archers. Carthage, a city state with such effective citizen archers that the Roman's just burned down the city block by block. I'm referring to Rome 2. And the ancient era ended with the sack of Roma by the Visigoths, and Imhotep was named a God, under Ptah, for making the first known stone building, the step pyramid.
but the first known stone building is Barnenez and it predates the step pyramid by 2200 years.
@@trentn1127 sorry meant their first, as in the people of Kahmut

The siege battles in Britannia were pretty great
Rome Total War's development team apparently saw the BBC's The Cleopatras and believed 100% of it.
I always loved playing Rome total war as the Scipii Romans fighting the equivalent of Vietnam in the Desserts of Egypt as Chariots tore through my heavy infantry lines.
Best history lesson ever.
when many a true nerd is drunk its isorrow
And so, Egypt became Persia.
6:35 That reminds me of the Battle of The Bastards from Got
This is just footage of the area 51 raid sent back from the future
The reason why Egypt does so well in the campaign is because chariots get massive bonuses in auto-resolve. The same is true with the Britons. Both of them have chariots and both of their generals start as chariot units. By the time Egypt has its reforms to end the advantage they have already taken a quarter of the map.
I learned more history on Alexander from Isorrow than my college professors.
Hold up-
isp history channel now
What's that song at the beginning .that was a bop.
Once Isorrowproductions does a history video I will eat kale
Man, I wish bodies still floated in newer total wars like they did here.
Egypt culture could be more accurate if only they were thousand years earlier
A quick Google search reveals the king of Egypt in 270 BC was Ptolemy Philodelphos, not goddamn Hekhemmut
Imhotep, Moses the Conquerer and Herobrine vs Publius the Mighty
ALMOST HALF A MILLION HOLY JESUS
So many issues but still one of the best in the series.
9:32 That guy and his horse clearly had balls of bronze.
I knew it was going to be Egypt. Its so wrong... WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!
I can tell you exactly what they were thinking: "We already have like five factions in the game that use the same old Greek units, we gotta do something different!"
