- The use of TRT is getting more common - but the understanding around it might be getting more murky!

#TRT #fitnessmotivation # marklewis - Zábava
1:11 Hahaha I’m the Canadian girl who made that comment a couple videos ago!! Day made Mark, and happy to be part of the target audience 😎💪🏼 (also: I’m still watching this TRT video even though I have no real reason to because of the pure entertainment factor, so…just another data point for ya)
If you decide to set up the Canadian female, Mark Lewis, fan club, and require some signed photographs for members, just let me know 😂
Oh 🇨🇦!
I agree this is so funny.... wait, a sec, I'm in Canada and I'm female. Crap. And a fan. Crap. Am I part of this part of this club and unware?!?
Good job :o)
Haha I saw that comment
I have been on TRT for a few years and have put on a lot of weight! I honestly wouldn't recommend Toblerone Replacement Therapy to anyone.
Well played, sir 😂😂😂
Excellent
Great Chocolate! 😂
I have fairly high natural Toblerone levels, so I don’t need to supplement with exogenous Toblerones- they would definitely help me bulk up though…
Maybe just decrease your dose 😂
I’m a 44 yo perimenopausal women with a family history of morbid obesity and diabetes and my own history of being overweight and disordered eating. 15 years ago I tried C25k for the first time, and quit after 3 weeks. Last year, not long after finding you for the first time, I made it to the end. I took part in my first ever organised 5k at the end of last Summer and it took me 48 minutes. This year I’ve signed up to a series of 5 10ks, I started training properly a month ago and yesterday I ran 5k on the road without breaking to walk for the first time, it took 38 minutes and I had enough in the tank to sprint the last 150m.
I’m not a 50yo white man, but lots of my friends are and watching this to the end helps me understand them and the challenges they might be dealing with.
Thank you, Mark, for everything you do. You are the best not-fitness CZcamsr out there. ❤️
Just to add, whenever I’m feeling insecure about how I look when I’m running, or my times, or my progress, I think of you running to one lamp post and walking to the next and I just keep going.
That’s what I think about too. 😂 Good old days 😂
Well done! Keep the faith baby
There's now science showing micro dosing test in females helps relieve menopause symptoms.
Please never stop including the clip of you falling off the stationary bike... It cracks me up every time. You do a great job of giving us a laugh and motivation. Love your channel.
anyone know in what video this happened?
I'm 37, much like Mark i was depressed and miserable to live with for quite some time. I then started eating healthy, optimised sleep and got into the best shape of my life...felt exactly the same. Started TRT about 3 months ago and it has completely changed my life. My gf describes me as annoyingly happy at times. In therapuetic doses, it really really does work
great to hear - worth noting, I had some slight ups and downs for at least 18 months so don't be surprised if its not all super good non-stop.....but as you say, life changing for sure!!!!
That’s cool to hear and really glad it’s working out for you. I’m 35 and in the same sort of situation you were in, although I can sort of link mine back to a testicular injury when I was in my teens. I’m trying to find a good clinic/doctor that is willing to help 🤞
37 is relatively young age for TRT....was the own test level below minimum? what was doctor advice?
TRT at 37 👀 can’t be good
It’s a tough topic because you can’t ignore the performance improvements TRT gives you. I’m 44 and get sick of TRT men that think they are better than me because they are on it. At the end of the day if you’re competing. You are doping.
Ignore the trolls! Easily one of the best channels on CZcams and can’t wait to watch this! Love this topic
I'm a troll and I agree it's my favourite channel to tear apart
@@humungushumungus213huh? I’m a troll?
As an endurance coach and counselor of 30 years, YOU are spot on! A great balance between who you are and the content you are delivering... VERY RELATABLE dude.
Your honesty about this makes you cool. Your jokes train my abdominals more than I do.
Great message as always. I'm a woman and age is a couple years behind you. Your message of Above Average helps me stay focused on doing what the ladies around me are NOT willing, like walking/jogging in -10C weather or cold rainy and tired after work. I am not chasing what I was in my twenties, but ensuring my body is able to take me on many adventures well into the next decade or two. Thanks a bunch!
This is coming from someone who is already highly motivated and currently going through a midlife crisis by doing Marathons, IRONMANs and Ultras. I love your videos. Ignore the nay sayers and continue being you. Keyboard warriors not content with their own lives will always try and bring others down, as why fix your own problems when you can just criticise others success. Stay Classy 👍
We adore the content!!! Gotten my gym routine back, swapped up diet, made sleep a top priority and you definitely help a ton! We really appreciate the inspiration and laughter.
That hair cut bit was amazing!
Visual humor like the hair disappearing around 2:45 is under appreciated. :chefs-kiss:
Just here to say that your videos are uniquely encouraging. They are so relatable, earnest, aware, and compassionate about other people's mind/body/environmental situations without being patronizing or diminishing about their potential abilities. I'm in my mid forties, formerly obese, and I've just passed my "lamppost to lamppost" phase; now going into second gear and haven't been this fit in over ten years. Your videos were/are hugely supportive in that endeavor. Thank you good sir.
The occasional power walk clip always makes me chuckle. Glad you can laugh at yourself and make us smile along the way too. 😊
I religiously watch every one of your video since I found your channel (about 18 months ago or so), first of all because I get a good laugh in 90% of them (pls work harder to make me laugh 100% of the time, i've got a highly sophisticated sense of humour), but also because every now and then I get some wisdom from what you are saying. I'm french so i was bred to dislike your kind and it hurts that I learn from an english man on a quasi weekly basis, but a lot of what you says make complete sense to me and i think will help me in the future. I am 34 years old and currently in a pretty good shape, formerly quite overweight (103kg for 5'8), and what you said in a video about how much more exciting is to you the perspective of still mainting a solid above average shape when you will be in your late 50's felt encouraging, good to hear.
Keep up the good content, love you and what you are doing. Such a shame that you are british though... but not your fault i guess
That is amazing. The very confident French - who just cannot figure out that their navy does not rule the world anymore and that French is not a big language of the world.
Looking down on the Brits - who were conned into the Brexit by a handful of mediocre political saboteurs.
Strange world.
Then, on the other hand ... not everybody can be as flawless as us Germans.
*cough*
I've watched many of your videos in the past and just realized today that I wasn't subscribed... Now I am. Love your content, love your openness. Love the entertainment you give. Can't believe people who try and put you down for TRT. This video was a great walkthrough for people unaware.
I love your stuff. Being a dad myself and trying to hang on to my fading youth and battling food addiction , your videos are relatable and inspiring. They get me off my couch. I realize fitness is a journey not a destination. Thank you!
As someone who medicates for ADHD I really like this video, medication can so very often be stigmatised and people have all sorts of weird missconsceptions making a constructive discussion damn near impossible. Thank you for taking the discussion :)
2:34 BURST OUT LAUGHING!!
PS ~ Where the hell was the duck pond stand??!! We have NEEDS, Mark.
Good - it took me three months to set up that joke 😂
This was mega
I completely missed that one. Thanks
I concur. And Im supposed to be the one with the Duck Pond Comment.
Sorry, friend. Won't happen again. ☺😂@@Jaigarful
Great vid Mark. I tested last summer after experiencing many of the same things you describe. 6 months on TRT later and it has been amazing for me. Feel normal (what is that though!) again, motivated to train and exercise, got enthusiasm back for working, no longer moping about wondering what is going on and why I'm feeling so low and lacking motivation. Thanks for your response to my e-mails a while back re TRT as well. Now settled on therapy and happily telling folk I am on HRT. If there are men experiencing these things, at least rule out the possibility of your hormones being a driver.
I love that you openly dicuss this quicksand topic here on CZcams!!
I'm over 40 and have similar symptoms like you had... Failing business because lack of motivation, staying bed sometimes on work days, constant procrastinating, failing love life....
I'm planning to look for a clinic and test my testosterone.
I'm right there with you mate 😢
First fix diet and exercise for about 3 months then re visit
@@nephilimshammer9567 If fixing diet means going vegan I have not. Otherwise I eat pretty healthy food and work out every other day. I just keep getting inflammation in joints as soon as I push my self a little bit. Didn't seem normal for a guy my age but it's been like that for close to 5 years 🤷 Maybe it's not a lack of testosterone, maybe it's a rheumatism or something else I don't want. Either way I think I need to explore this testosterone theory.

@@mastachi888 appreciate this a lot! Thank you so much to be considerate and kind enough to take time and reply. I've been contemplating cutting sugar after a previous recommendation and your suggestion confirms that idea. Fasting sounds hard but I'm sure there are benefits, I've heard a lot about that too. It's just that I've always been that kind of person that performs best and loses unhealthy weight when I eat regularly with only 3-4 hours between meals..
Oh, and I'm definitely not very low on dairy products either. So this sounds promising!
Sorry to hear about the accident 🥹
Millennial female (albeit English) here and you are also one of my favourite fitness CZcamsrs. I appreciate your transparency and humour, and the message of your channel.
We ask men to talk when they’re struggling and seek help, yet when they do and are prescribed things like TRT suddenly that’s wrong? Bonkers.
As an aforementioned millennial female this video and your previous on TRT are still relevant to me as I’m in a relationship with a man and the symptoms you described is something I can always look out for. Keep doing you, Mark. Cheers!
I'm 31 and have been an avid gym go'er most of my adult life. I've unfortunately just been through testicular cancer where I had both surgery to remove said testicle and 3 rounds of intense chemotherapy. I have the all clear now however I'm finding the gym and running a hell of a lot more difficult now than ever, it's more difficult in the gym and my body takes a lot longer to recover from each session. I'm going to discuss TRT with my doctor as I'm showing more and more signs of low testosterone (some more embarrassing than others). So I thank you for this video. I've watched your channel for years and always find it extremely motivating and entertaining.
You should definitely look into it, there's so much bad info online about TRT. Ive been on it for three years and was originally prescribed too much because I went to a clinic vs my doctor. My advice is start low, don't buy into the online hype that more is better.
Stay strong brother!
been there , got the t-shirt... your now producing zero testosterone - get to your doctor and get a prescription and its free on NHS. however its sometimes less hassle to just pay one of these online clinics for a monthly subscription. additionally - you may not feel any different just now but in a year or two - zero sex drive, miserable, constantly getting fatter and fatter despite the training regime.. TRT makes you normal again !
Had one of mine removed too!! On TRT.51 years old gym 4 times a week and 20k+ steps. Its a life changer.Go for it!!
Im surprised they didn’t prescribe trt while having surgery and going through chemo. Its suppose to help with the healing process.
Best video I’ve seen in a very long time, I’m currently struggling with all the same symptoms and didn’t know where to look next to improve everything, maybe this is now something to look into moving forward. Great content as usual. Very much appreciated Mark
You made my day and gave me some clarity (as a form of a target) to investigate TRT to try and improve my current mental state. Thank you
I randomly came across this particular video of yours, as I was watching your Garmin Fenix 7x pro vs alternative watches content.
You just got yourself another subscriber.
Thank you again
Hey Mark, just dropped by to say your channel has more layers than my grandma's lasagna - and trust me, that's a lot! Your humor and inspiration, like espresso shots, keep us coming back for more. Huge congrats on creating a space that's both enlightening and entertaining. And about the TRT naysayers, just remember, in the grand gym of life, you're the one lifting spirits while they're just skipping the workout. Keep on flexing those positivity muscles; we're all here for the gains. Cheers to you and your fantastic channel!"

Thanks for making this the very first CZcams video I have ever commented on. It always blows my mind that people feel the need to comment at all, let alone negatively. I'm well below average but still thoroughly enjoy your videos, to hell with everybody else and what they think.
As it's your first comment it would be rude for me not to reply! So .... thanks!
Thanks for the content Mark. I have gone from 120kg down to 90kg with the help of your videos as motivation. Keep inspiring others!
Fantastic vid as always. I love your delivery, tongue in cheek sense of humour and honesty! Quite right about Mildred - she knows what's up!
I am 47 and on my 2nd month of Trt. You are spot on. How I used to feel vs how I feel now, I am a much happier and healthier person no doubt.
Thanks Mark, really needed to hear that, I always thought I was a 6'6 220 English bloke with a passion for donuts. You've changed my life, cheers.
Ummmmmmmmmmmm....donuts !
Amazing effort. Can't believe how quick you did it. I ran the st.ives to Zennor and back today and can't imagine how tough the Arc is. Inspirational
I've enjoyed and been motivated by your videos since lockdown, Mark, but I think this one and the recent one about stepping back from the temptations of obsessively chasing goals are your most important and impressive. Stay healthy and keep up the great content.
I think if anyone is looking for a video on why TRT....not just fitness, this is the video to watch. Honest and how the hormones helps the overall well being. As a man there are not many honest videos like this. Thank you and I'm feeling "good" as well.
“Go ahead, Mark. I always watch these videos when I come home from work, and they motivate me. I find them more enjoyable to watch than TV.” and greetings from Finland
Awesome, thank you!
I have long thought that I liked your videos because they were funny and I could relate a lot with (at least parts of) your journey. But I realize with this video that I keep coming back because of the freaking nuance you bring to all of them. Such a break from fitness youtubers telling us all the time what we must and mustn't do. Keep up the amazing work!
Great to hear an open and upfront talk about trt. Much more the norm in the States but can be so useful as a preventative to age related conditions in both men and women. As a man in my forties with fluctuating energy levels definitely given me food for thought. Cheers for the great video Mark.
Love it. I'm almost 64 and done very little exercise for years. I enjoy your videos but don't feel it necessary to do a Spartan or a Hyrox. However my wife, who is a little younger than me did the Hyrox at Manchester last week. It took her over 2 hours 20 but she did it and it was a great achievement for her. HER extra activity though has got me running and i'm doing a 5k at Aintree next Sunday whilst she does the 10k. Keep up the great videos mate, they're well above average.
Thanks for the insightful video. I'm only 28, yet already on TRT because I was stupid enough to mess around with multiple steroid cycles from ages 19(!!) - 24. Suffered for years after that with depression, no libido, ED, anxiety, insecure, fat gain, and lost most the muscle mass I gained from said steroid cycles. Found a good endocrinologist who was willing to help me out and doing much better now. My total testosterone levels were around 220-240 while training, diet, sleep, vitamins etc were in check. Now at a stable 800-1000 and rest of the bloodwork looks great and I'm doing much better. More energy, libido is back, lost all that extra fat and gained back 80% of the muscle I put on years ago.
you must roll your eyes at the kids on social media starting in their teens and been hailed as heros! Its a real mess out there.
@@MarkLewisfitness Yeah. It'd be hypocritical of me to judge those that are doing steroids because I did the same. But the promoting... that's gotta stop! And too many fake nattys setting unrealistic expectations
Your videos on TRT have been such an insight.. never knew anything about TRT yet HRT for women is so widely accepted without the kind of questions or accusations you've had.. really good to see you tackle it head on.. obviously any misconceptions around performance enhancements wont stop me adding it to my list of potential excuses for being solidly beaten in my Parkrun age catergory.
Thank you for the fantastic video!!! I wish more people would talk about taking hormones and how helpful it can be. As a woman, hormones are basically still a mystery and most doctors don't know enough to help. Many women take hormone replacement therapy just to help with hot flashes, but they don't understand that it helps with so many other symptoms such as muscle loss bone loss, weight gain, extreme dry skin, and can improve your cardiovascular system as well as your nervous system...I could go on and on. Maybe if more people talked about HRT it would take the stigma out of taking them and more people could get the help they need. I believe the only people who really complain about HRT is because they're lazy and they just want to complain about you to cover up their ignorance and unwillingness to help themselves. I love watching your videos. I'm not a spring chicken and your videos are relatable to the people who are still willing to try and keep trying, even after mistakes made in the blissful ignorance of younger years. You inspire me, and show me to keep going. I need that motivation from someone who believes keeping fit is still worth doing and still important at any age. Thanks again and keep up the great work!
I started TRT - I feel much more motivated, focused, stronger - my depression lifted, as well as the constant brain fog and internal dialogue. Anxiety lifted and my sleep improved - I started losing weight as I was motivated enough to watch my diet and started intermittent fasting and meal planning - first month of TRT I lost 1 inche around my waist - TRT for me was so impactful - it helped me to lift more and train consistently - I was a triathlete and competed in 70.3 Ironman events - I used to run 21km - then I did nothing as I had zero motivation - that was before TRT - Hair lose - TRT does affect your hair IF you are predisposed to hair lose - Basically, if you were losing it before, or you were going to lose it anyway it makes it happen faster - Basically - This is my point to you Mark
1) I really enjoy your channel - I live abroad and watch your uploads
2) You seem to be a good guy
3) People might have a point about your TRT use, Why? TRT gives people the boost they need to do things, anything, a CZcams channel, working out - As long as you mention that as a possible and probable help then it is OK - my life has changed and I believe TRt should be taken or at least investigated as a life and health benefit for all men. - If your channel is about a middle aged man being motivated, you should mention it. And you did and if you continue to do so and be transparent then all is good...
4) Testosterone is a motivator - It's not a muscle builder if used for health benefits at normal 'needed' levels. The absence of depression helps the ability to be motivated. - What I'm saying is - I do not believe that you are fit and muscular because of the testosterone in your body, but because of the testosterone replacement in your body you have the motivation to train to get those muscle and fitness levels. - To do your youtube upload and to get out of bed in the morning.
This was your point in the end so - I agree.
Well said honest comment. I don't mind people using trt I think it should be encouraged. I take issue with people competing while on trt though, it's unfair, it's literally steroiding to victory over natural competitors,
@@arnoldd7073weeeel.
Not really.
It would be considered a TUE.
Obviously if people were banging 500mg a week they should be banned, but trt is literally a medication if used that way
They should have to declare this before any competitive event. Get a t-shirt or something.@@arnoldd7073
@@arnoldd7073question, if the people competing are naturally producing a level between, 600 and 900, and the person on TRT is only at 500 or 650, do they have an advantage? I’d say no, if you are using it because you are naturally low, to get boosted up to normal levels, seems like a different situation than someone taking it to push there levels above normal go get an advantage.
My man, I have been amused everytime time I have watched your videos and being motivated to do something to improve my health situation. Thanks for the content.
Love your videos. It changed my life from being a 120kg (1.95m tall) person to an above average trial runner with a very happy (and also now slim) dog (spaniel). Keep it up as you motivate me daily to get out there.
I've suspected I may have low testosterone for a while and this feels like the push I needed to at LEAST do a hormone test and see where I'm at. Maybe I don't even need it but at least i'll know! It's so hard to find transparent and honest content on the subject so thanks a bunch for this
Same boat here. Will be 44 in a couple of weeks. Marks comment about being asked to load the dishwasher resulting in not talking to Jen for a week (although I’m sure slightly exaggerated for comedy) rang true here. I’ve suspected low test for a while, this is motivating me to get tested. Awesome content as always Mark ❤
If you feel it’s low, the test is mandatory. If the level is normal, great, and you can maybe eat better, lose weight, and exercise more, but if low, then it may be very helpful to start TRT. A professional consultation is your best move. As men age (in general) T levels do fall.
I would be cautious. Some of those TRT clinics will write you a prescription even if your levels aren't low. They'll say something like "We look at the symptoms, not the numbers on a test." If your levels aren't low, then taking it probably won't help.
My humble take on it - if you are under-producing Test, and you take the supplement, your body will see that in your blood stream and produce even less. Your body could completely shut down making its own testosterone for life, and then you have dependency on medicine for life. I actually favor what bodybuilders do; cycle a boost to get muscle gains and then back off. At least that way, your body can recognize its turn to resume producing the stuff. For me, the whole on again, off again nature of fitness and muscle, just turns me off to steroids. I am too old to train heavy enough to get the gains I would want, from say squats or rows. My back just can't take the stress. So I train for a healthy heart, and to be able to indulge in food without getting obese from it, and that means, I stay about the same size all the time, not ballooning up and back down again. and not needing to see a doctor about it. Best wishes.
As a 50 year old male who has just started the TRT journey whose only focus was cognitive function, mental health and keep my marriage completely welcome and applaud this video. I’m not interested in the “physical” benefits eg looked jacked or performance. So thank you for helping increase awareness as the impact has very real life improving consequences.
Excellent content as always. Raised a smile!
Thank you for your openness and the inspiration you give us all, Mark!
Love the transparency! Great to see this compared to so many fitness people promoting creatine while taking 1g+ of test plus many other drugs. If someone is making a living based on their bodies muscularity or strength there is a good chance they are doing more than they are public about.
Nice to see someone taking an actual TRT dose and talking about it.
@@Charlie_Nice so you didn't watch the video or are you just an idiot? He has multiple trt videos on his channel from years ago. He has a playlist called TRT with those videos in them.
@@Charlie_Nice Fact is that whether he's on it or not makes absolutely no difference. He's literally just provided you with a video explaining this.
@@Charlie_Nice As I said before, Mark has literally just made a video explaining all those points and how they're a mix of irrelevant or inaccurate. He's not a CZcamsr selling his content based on his amount of muscle mass. I'm slightly surprised how you could have watched this video (or his others on TRT) and make those statements.
Good on you, Mark. Refreshingly honest - and totally logical, as always!!!! I agree with others: ignore the trolls (except where they lead to good content, like this!). I suspect they are only hangry and their Mum hasn't yet made their tea....
Great video as someone who’s about to hit 52 I recently took a TRT blood test which showed me a slightly low test levels. I now considering next steps so hearing others experiences is both useful and interesting. Thanks
You are truly one of my favorites! I never miss one of your videos. I got a little worried when you did the binge thing & put on additional weight because personal experience dictates those things can be tough to come back from. You’ve taken a huge risk with this video - you’ve opened yourself up to all kinds of opinionated grief. BUT, more importantly, you might’ve given some guy hope when he thought he’d tried everything to overcome his depression. You’re a good guy, Mark.
I am a 51 year old overweight Englishman and I’m exactly the demographic you aim these videos at! You do yourself a disservice Mark because I learn a lot about getting back in to shape from watching your videos, have a laugh along the way and most importantly it got my fat ass off the couch and back on the treadmill getting a sweat on. My diet isn’t great but I’m trying my best . I did a TRT test and I’ve low T so got the TRT gel on the way and I’m hoping it’ll help me kick on to the next stage of my fitness . Love the videos and don’t change the way you make them because if I was still watching some of those other videos on CZcams that are so serious I’d still be sat on the couch eating lard👍
So I can cure my diabeetus and sets laif with Try?
Can I ask where you got the test from and did you then have to have a doctor consultation? Was it just the one test you had to do and did have to be administered by a nurse (or home kit)? Thanks in advance
I went through a company I seen on Facebook called MANUAL,first test was about £34 and then you do a secondary test which checks for kidney and liver function etc,I’ve opted for the gel instead of injections as I’ve read that it is a more even flow of testosterone rather than a feeling great after a a jab then gradually feeling less great until it’s jab time again,I suppose I’ll not know until it actually starts,
47 year old guy here. Love that you make these updates. Love your sensible intelligent approach to trt. Please keep it coming.

Just found you channel and so glad that I did. It is great to hear an honest view of TRT. I am hoping to get myself on the level and just feel better about myself. I shall now work my way through your library of video.

Loved this Mark. For me it really is about sensible optimisation. I’m a former serviceman who now works with people abusing steroids and the many associated compounds. Social Media is responsible for influencing 90% of the clients I see in our service. It’s nice to see people putting out sensible material on the subject.
I’ve been looking into TRT for a while and came across your video. Probably the best I have seen and absolutely love how you present what is a tricky subject. Subscribed!
"Jack Reacher" says he is on TRT because..he is on a lot more than TRT. Apart from you, people on testosterone say they do nothing, and people that are on test/tren/Anavar/clen cycles say they are on TRT
Exactly, there is a reason Mark is willing to show blood tests while basically no one else does.
@@ande5460 Because people are slightly more educated on the subject I am on TRT is the new "I am natty" for those who take 500mg test a week
yep - it really doesn't help regular Joe get help when mass monsters call their use TRT.

Everything in this video is so well said, thank you for being so sensible and putting that out into the world!
I'm 40 and have been on TRT for 5 years now. All it does is balance your hormones so when you put the work in you recover correctly and feel good. If I don't workout and eat crap I'm just a fat guy on TRT, it's no magic bullet.

I'm turning 33, and I've been actively getting into shape and losing weight for the last two years, for the first time in my life. Running has been a huge part of it, and I've always been terrible at running, like out of breath after 50 meters bad. Your running videos, with your self-professed not-built-for-running body and consistent results regardless of age, have been really encouraging. It's just nice to see a sensible approach and realistic results on social media for a change. TRT certainly doesn't change that.
great to see honesty on this subject.
I honestly bloody love this guy, he is the reason a did my first ultra. And when I dropped a message to say this he replied. Hope you get all the success you work so hard for
Your content is killing it Mark. Tremendous video. Your approach is illuminating and your candor is refreshing.
Great vid and commentary again Mark. Love your work.
Mark, i’m a 34yrs old Canadian who absolutely love every bit of your videos.
I came across your channel when you first started, and watched all your videos and the amount of laughs and help with my fitness your channel as provided me is beyond anything i could ever measure.
I recently fell off the wagon due to injuries and different life occupations and hobby, but have now came across watching your videos again and gave me all i needed once again to get back to doing fitness for my own personal pleasures.
Don’t ever stop making content, being real and staying true to yourself and if people don’t like it, they obviously don’t have good taste.
To that i say thank you once again for giving me the motivation, and keep your amazing videos!
Cheers.
Another outstanding video . Keep up the great work, Mark.
Crystal clear explanation..very nicely done 👏.
Your a star. Thank you for all your great videos. Always pleased to see a new one to watch no matter the topic.
It's like looking in a mirror. . . . . well, not a mirror. I'm a little older, shorter, not English but on a similar journey. COVID has been fun for my fitness journey. Found the channel a while back and use what I like and can only wrench a motorcycle. Riding one might kill me. This is great content. Been thinking of hormone therapy but a recent serious injury has postponed anything other than getting back to square 1. I appreciate the writing, editing, attention to detail, humor and honesty. It's a journey and yours is a pleasure to follow. This is something I needed to see because I have a partner who hasn't left me and it appears the only other choice she has is to kill me if I can't get out of the injury/apathy hole. Time for me to finally schedule a conversation with a professional. Thanks Mark - keep the Pringles close.
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. I'm a mid 30s dad of young twins and your videos have inspired me to get out and challenge myself to be above average, or at least just be better than I currently am. Keep it coming mate
I actually appreciate this video because I hadn't seen the earlier TRT videos, and I've been suffering from a LOT of the symptoms you described (call in to work, no sleep or sleep forever, zero motivation, unwillingly skipping gym days, depression, irritability) -- I never really thought about my testosterone levels being the culprit or not, so I'm scheduling a visit to a doctor to get my levels checked out. So thank you.
Cheers mate, I appreciate your openness about this topic.
Thanks for being honest and forthright in bringing up the mental health aspect of TRT. I’ve literally never heard of that until now. I thought the only considerations for TRT were related to muscle and libido loss. I’ll be looking out for mental health struggles as a sign that levels could be off once I get into my 40s.
Great video describing the challenges of growing older and wanting to continue fitness training as your hormone level drops. Keep knocking the videos out laah, great entertainment.
As a fellow large, old guy(190 cm tall, 100+ kg, and I’ll be 60 this year). It is great to hear your story. Thank you for sharing so transparently. I’ll keep watching and keep getting outside to move around.
Great stuff Mark. Thanks as ever for the honesty. Keep being you - love it👍💪🏻👍
Mark keep doing what you do, it’s entertaining and relatable, and I was going to have an early night but watching this has made me go down to my mancave in the garden for a quick workout, thank you
Been watching for months and never even realised you were on TRT
Massive props for being so transparent around the subject. When I approach your age I’ll probably do something similar
Your content has definitely resonated with me , love it and thanks for sharing and being so honest.
As a man in a similar point in life, I love your content, keep it coming, thank you
Thanks Mark! Great content, I really enjoy it.
Hello Mark, Here is a comment on your video. Great how you explain what TRT does to you and why you do it. I am a bald (also shaved) man of 51 years old. With a great sports history. I also started TRT (100mg/week) and have to admit that this has had a huge impact on me, especially mentally. It is certainly a misunderstood method for many people, but I feel great about it. It is normal for people that if you eat fatty food and drink a lot, you go to the doctor about your high blood pressure. But when I go to the doctor with a similar problem, they say "you have to stop taking testosterone". I'm glad you're bringing it up for discussion. And I will definitely refer people to your video if they have questions. Then they can make their own judgment afterwards, but I also hope that it will become clearer to them. thanks Andre
Fantastic upload. I’m currently exploring the idea of TRT. Thank you for imparting your knowledge. 👊🏼
Thanks for this, when you described the symptoms prior to TRT describes how I feel now, think I'll nip to the docs for a test hopefully this is the answer and I'm not crazy.
Love this level of transparency fella! We need more of this as men, as part of an accountable society.
Always a delight to watch your videos. You’re honest and true to your own self, that’s all it matters. ✌
Delightful. I've been on TRT for several months. I weight train 3 times a week and I'm a septuagenarian. I was training before, this helps. Love your sense of humo(u)r.
Awesome video and explanation about this topic.👍
Congrats on your personal and internet success from another middle-aged Mark on the American side of the pond. As a washed-up ultra endurance athlete I find your videos motivating and funny with level-headed, transparent quality info. Kudos!!
Excellent video, Mark! I'm almost 51 and have been on TRT for about 2 years now. Similar story... I lacked the energy and motivation to get off the couch. Now, I'm running races and working on completing my first 1/2 marathon. No one would think I'm "on steroids" looking at me, but I feel so much better these days. I appreciate you and your videos... they help me to keep working on being the best version of myself I can be.
