Today we look at some critical goals all OSRS players should strive to accomplish! These are some excellent targets for newer low or mid level players. If you complete all of these goals, you will have a pretty decent Old School RuneScape account. All five of them can be reasonably completed within the first few months of playing. The most critical goal is getting something you don't really need but are baited into needing due to the constant reminders - sure, you can argue "Skilling is bad in f2p", but it's still doable, even if slow, and it doesn't matter unless you don't play the game casually.
PK Sonikal if you don’t get membership near half the skills aren’t even trainable, not because they’re slow, but because they’re literally impossible to train
PK Sonikal it’s literally $11 a month. Its pretty much nothing

@@marcelahernandez369If your going to play how you want then you wouldn't be watching this video in the first place. What if someone wants to achieve important goals asap. Would you rather hunt a bear when your 20 yrs old or when your 70 yrs old? Usually want to get things done earlier the better.

Awsome job on the vid! Love your philosophy on efficiency >:) any player needs to have a goal set. Starting off that goal is skills/quests/bossing. Later will be things like collections/collection logs. The list can go on and on......

Thanks for this video dude. Just started OSRS (Played from 2003-2009 originally, and didn't like RS3 much) and have constantly been wondering what I should be doing with my account and wondering why I'm even playing. These tips will definitely give me the motivation to get back into RS again.

These are definitely good long term goals. Setting smaller term goals is definitely super helpful as well and helps prevent burnout because you feel like you're actually improving your character and not just eternally far from the end-game.
I'm on my 3rd character (one I started in 2008 and had until 2013, one on osrs in 2013 that got hacked, and one on osrs I started in 2017). I feel like my progress has gone much quicker and I don't burn out as much bc even though I don't log in every day, every time I log in I set a short term goal. For example, one day I might grind lvl 60-65 strength and then log off. Not the most efficient for overall xp but it's been the most efficient for me bc I don't ever feel burnt out

Was expecting the big 3 untradeables to be fire cape, avas and defender but those are good tips too, when i first started i had no idea torso was a thing it would've saved me tons of time :P
Yeah torso is a cheap knock off of bandos, helpful but when it comes to slayer proselyte is your bestfriend.

Perhaps some decent slayer level goals, like 72- Skeletal Wyverns 75- Gargybois and 77- BBDs

Love this. The goals are oriented but yet still open ended enough for freedom. And it took me 7 tries for jad my first kc. The struggle was real.

The elite void reward for completing the western prov hard doesn't just give prayer but a 2.5% dmg increase over reg void fairly useful for Vorkath as that stacks with the Salve (ei). Good vid my guy!

The most critical goal is to go whatever you want, and not let people tell you what you must do in your game, tho on the other hand these are some handy tips.

I must be weird, cuz I actually enjoy pest control. I kind of wish there was a pet or multiple for it. All the monsters are cool/adorable.
I think it's a simple and fun pvm minigame. Sort of underrated

I used to belong to a lvl 110 minimum PC clan, back before they nerfed PC and basically ruined it. It was so awesome playing coordinated 30 second games with skilled players.
The definition of AFK has seemed to really change overtime.
Fighter hat used to be bis if neitiznot helm +3 str didn't give you a max hit, but now that there's the serpentine helm and faceguard its not really used. I still love having mine, good when you have a low atk level.
Getting farming up for the seed vault seems pretty useful for bank space.
most critical goals are goals which help the player in most ways:
- 64 construction (which can be boosted to 70)
- 43 prayer for protection prayers
- Achievement diaries
- Weight reducing gear
The twisted bow is also my favorite med level item. :)

For me as a skiller what i did when it comes to how to go about skills was attacking the skills i knew was going to suck, and doing the worst skills first. Currently 94 runecrafting and its going to be my 3rd 99. Because i dont want it to be in the back of my mind. So thats my tip just embrace the grind, take the Devil by its horn and just attack everything
I think getting quest cape is essential to even begin playing the game. It’s a huge part of beating the game though to the journey of it. I have 3 quests left. Then doing achievement diaries hard and elite, then going for maxing everything else out I can as well as bossing etc etc. but end game lvls 80-99 is where the real fun is at after you get all these things out of the way into the real fun in my opinion which is where I’m at now.
Oh i know 5 very simple:
1.get membership
2.get fire cape
3.get infernal cape
4.max your account
5.get 1b gp

Okay but running with weights is actually an AMAZING way to pump up your endurance.
Do the same run everyday. Once you’re used to it, add a few pounds of weight. You don’t have to run more, just add more weight :D

guide is still up to date besides the gloves, now you need dragon slayer 2 for best in slot gloves.

I just came back after 9 years and I play on a potato! Took me about a month but I finally hit 89 combat and barrows gloves with firecape completed I really want a torso lol but I never got picked up caz I’m a noob but I’m geared up and set to train combat further and get to bossing and higher lvl slayer 😄 construction is my only fear because of cost lmao

A good idea would be to op the diary items.. Even more so than regular items you can buy.. Financially.. A rune scim for example costs 15k which equates to what 1c real? Make the max f2p
Items have 10 str points higher.. They'll get more people involved in actually playing..
Then if you buy a runescim it's pretty simple and easy to train.. So pkers get caught out cause not the best.. And even food.. Have f2p diaries items heal 3 points higher then swordfish.. Will make everyone chase the best rather than just the one skill level..

I actually really agree with the last thing you said, I feel like "the meta" is different from player to player, maybe you do 3-tic Barb fishing cuz it's technically the fastest xp, but you struggle to do it for long periods cuz it's so attention intensive so you take frequent breaks, for most people I think they would reach their xp goal sooner if they just did regular Barb fishing without as many breaks, not necessarily faster in terms of ingame time but faster in terms of total time passed sense the beginning of the grind, like you might save a few ingame hours 3-ticing, but is it really worth those few hours if you keep getting burnt out and could have reached your goal sooner if you just did a slower method without stopping and burning out so often? Not sure if any of that makes sense lol, but I personally Tic manipulate semi often, I usually do it on and off, instead of logging off when it becomes to much for me, I just switch to the regular training method until I get the urge to put more attention into my game play.
Yeah it's best to go your at own pace. Of course it's always fine to take breaks too
@@AndrewAJT yeah for sure a lot of players put in so many hours into this game it's definitely something that you shouldn't worry about taking breaks from at all, it's also about having fun like that's the reason you we play this game cuz we enjoy it, and I think it's safe to say most players in the hlc enjoy pushing themselves, they enjoy a bit of those grindy feelings, makes it all more rewarding, so I think it's good to sort of, find how you enjoy pushing yourself, you don't shouldn't always feel confined to a "meta" when pushing yourself, you can do a lower xp rate method of whatever it is if you want to, if you enjoy it more go for it, not everything you do has to be the best method possible even when you're pushing yourself to achieve your goals cuz you enjoy doing all the best methods, learn to achieve your goals in the ways you'll enjoy the most, if you enjoy blackjacking great do it! If you enjoy afking ardy knight, great do it! Same for pyramid plunder and every other high tier method for any given skill, like you shouldn't feel bad doing one thing over the other cuz you feel like you could be doing a better method or "pushing yourself harder" or something, if you enjoy it, do it.
Void isn’t an item that is much needed over dragon defender. The big three should’ve been fire cape, torso and dragon defender. Because they save you a lot of money.

RocStream you don’t need a ring of wealth if you have Varrock mediums done, the Varrock tele will take you straight to the ge

Depends on what your purpose in the game is, some people play to PK and could care less about completing dairies fully, some people skill, etc.
