'nonce' was what was written on the cells of sex offenders and stands for 'not on normal courtyard exercise' so the screws (Prision officers) didn't let them out with general population.
The Scouser terminology is brilliant. Love it 😂
I love the way you honor your heritage and how you bring in the whole community with your moments here in the light. Super stoked for pimblett vs dober, I thinks it's going to be an epic night for the both of ya's. Keep up the good fight paddy.
I think it's hilarious how many words mean one thing, and at the same time they also mean the complete opposite of that one thing. Context is key for sure 😂
Love the uploads on a Sunday bro keep em coming
i loved the way you described half our scouse terms by using other scouse terms 😂 and jobe is rhyming slang jobaxi/taxi
Class this keep up the good content 🏆
Ive practiced on my dog and now he doesn't understand anything I say and is going in circles 😆 proper confused 🤣!!! (because we already speak poor slack English in canada he barely gets now 🇨🇦 ! ) Lol thx Paddy .. my grandma Gough who was from England and my Nana from Scotland always called me an "ankle-biter" as a kid . Thanks for reminding me lol
3:39 paddy doing an American accent had my dyin😂😂
Good to see you back doing well lad ull bounce back and put in an unreal performance in ur next fight
This is awesome! Love it
I would love to see a Scouser meet an Appalachian and see if they could understand each other
Quite similar to west o Scotland slang so it's not a problem 🏴 most of it anyway 😂Good stuff Paddy really enjoyed this one 👍
This is brilliant 👏
Would absolutely adore a few drinks w the two ladies they interviewed 👏🏽👏🏽
AMAZING CONTENT!!!!
Awesome thanks Paddy!!!
Banger video!
Backslang originated in the prisons so the screws didnt know what the inmates were talking about. Easiest way to explain it is put 'aig' after every vowel in a word
That explains a lot of why the ex used to talk backslang . That brought back memories 😆
absolute legend. not really that into ufc, but you're a really cool guy
Wait what how da fook can ya not like UFC but like paddy dat just dont make sense laaaaaaa!!
Promise you, next time paddy fights, watch the whole card. As a matter of fact. Tune into UFC 284. That whole card will make you become a fan
@@habowtat3576 as soon as he fights a top 10 or even top 15 ranked opponent he is getting slept.
@@habowtat3576 his last card and post interview turned a lot of fans away.
He's a bully lmaoo and a phony
Being a Scouser me self, i clearly don't have a problem listening to paddy, "yes lad is right fella"
Hilarious boss video really enjoyed the people's descriptions on the scouse dialogue 🤣👌👊✌️
Joeb is from Joe backsy. Taxi. Its cockney rhyming slang that came to us with the traveling community , like a lot of words like chav was a young child until we reperposed it. Cool video cha bah.
I knew everyone of these words and the meanings my dad and his side of the family is scouse gotta love liverpool
Anyone else notice the lack of meatball Molly since the Jared Gordon fight?, before that fight I think they went to the toilet together when you seen one you seen the other.
It's a good thing sometimes she got too much and annoying she got her own channel anyways
With her drinking I honestly think it's a PR move. Also, she lost and paddy still on his streak like it or not.
@@oxhorn2906 You clearly know more than the entire MMA community because they all said Paddy lost that fight, believe what you want mate but they cant all be wrong and your right.
@@formhubfar What you or I think doesn't matter, the record book matters, and what does the record book say? W
He simply said paddy still on streak lol you guys are sad bc of a bad decision haha , some guys have all the luck 😂 like liberals not getting your way boo hoo. I thought he won BTW but I only seen parts of the fight I sure heck didn't see Gordon dominate, I think one those fights guy hoping lose didn't so you upset hahaha
Super like! Great content!
Jobe is joe baxi taxi from what I know
Top n.1 bro 🥊🥊
If memory serves correct, La comes from the Nordic rune script and denotes the full stop at the end of sentences, in rune a dot is actually a syllable. Basically echoes left over from Liverpool's first incarnation as a viking base. Likewise the word Ta comes from Scaninavian "Tac" which means thank you. The word Scouser comes from Lobscouse which is Nordic stew. Similar dishes are traditional in countries around the North Sea, such as Norway (lapskaus), Sweden (lapskojs), Finland (lapskoussi). I'm not sure if the first two are are actually true, would love to hear from an expert.
All correct but the first one. I think it’s just lad even more shortened down. Or just another way to say it. Scousers love having their own spin on things. I believe this as “la” is also said like “lar”.
Excellent Paddy
The FIRM: is also the name of an amazing hip hop group w/:
Nas, AZ, Foxy Brown & Nature so 🔥 Legendary album to train to
Just fantastic
Bloody brilliant - now most people can understand 10% of what you are saying mate - hope you heal fast and get back into the Octagon and show the people you walk the talk!
Walk the walk la, it’s if yer talk talk the talk yer gotta be able to walk the walk g
6:42 Isn't JOBE an abbreviation of Joe Baxi? As in taxi!
Love the scouse accent. Love the city.
Paddy you need to do the Full Send pod cast.
They’re a bunch of little goons them don’t know what they’re talking about
The owl fella was the star of this show, boss 😂😂😂
A jobe, the ex footy player from years ago was called joe baxi that rhymes with taxi
Paddy smashing it with these podcasts..
Hello there! I make entertaining videos as well and I bet I can put a smile on your face ! Just see for yourself and let me know what video I should do or try next! We’ll make it to the top 1 day🌟❤️🔥
Garbage man, garbage fighter. Advocates for mental health but is the biggest bully himself.
This isn't a podcast, ya mushroom.
Hilarious love it! La
goat vid
Exactly the same in Glasgow 😎😂🙏
A lot of these id say are more northern as opposed to just scouse, a lot of these i here everyday and i’m 2 hours from liverpool
In french Heavy is "lourd" and we use it in the same way than Heavy. For example we can say from a song htat we like "c'est lourd" what mean "that's heavy".
The jobe one is interesting . I first heard it in the 80s . We use to call a a taxi a joe la taxi after that song so maybe there's a connection or maybe some backslang going on.
Lmao😂. That was hilarious!!
Yeeeew!🇨🇦
The OG's say Gaff for smoking a joint ! Let's do it
Majority of these are used all over the UK, or the north defo
When I visited cousins in N. Ireland and Scotland, I couldn't understand a word some of them were saying when they were talking to each other. Especially the more country-folk of the family. I could tell they were speaking English but it was embarrassing not to be able to comprehend it. These words and meanings are so unusual if I was at a Scouser bar full of drunk Scousers I'm sure I wouldn't understand what anyone is talking about.
Ohh paddy the baddy
Ohhh paddy the faddy
Jobe is rhyming slang for taxi: Joe Baksi (old American boxer), taxi.
That ald fella is nuts 😂😂
Yes Lad tell them Paddy. We're not english, we are Scouse.
Nope. You're English. Let go of the blind tribalism.
Yup know most of it … Aussie slang is much the same considering that they’re descended from O’l England 🤣🤣🤣
How many of these words are scouse because I've lived in Bradford all my life and hear 90% of these daily
PADDY !!!
🍀🍀🍀 Happy St. Paddy's Day ! It's your day !! 🍀🍀🍀
Not just scourers say these. But I am from Cheshire though. Its next door. But never heard laa before I moved here ha
most of these word are also used in newcastle i swear we are so similar. scousers and geordies hand in hand
Apart from Everton fans, who are more like Maccems.
wor slangs more radge than scouse
Yes lad!
Just the same as Manchester except we don’t La or Cob on 😂😅
Feeling like a proper Scouser
The word "lemo" comes from the slang word for "Charlie" witch is lemon and barley. Meaning cociane
Interesting
Old guy was a legend
Lady of the night 🤣
I live on the South Coast and somehow I know all of these lol.
This little old man that keeps yelling at people is fuckin awesome
Shhh no nabames on daba grafaba fabone ✌🏻

Patrick be sure to watch your back, ppl turn faster than fists. I truly worry about you my boy, keep your true friends like Maggie and never let go.
Can’t beat the scousers ❤
Tra tra tra tra. So true.
Jobe come from the words "Joe baxi" slang for taxi
Gaff - smoke a joint 😂
Im a scouser and i understood every word them two black lads said with the old school backslang
Fuckin yes
I understand the whole not understanding lol.... Its like us newfies... one word could mean or be used for a million different things lol or as us newfies would say .... tings!
When ya fighting again.
Lots of crossovers with Middlesbrough slang here haha
Jobe comes from the Vanessa Paradis song Joe le Taxi. It used to be 'joe le' then it was just 'jobe' as in call us a jobe.
You are so damn cute!!! You’re my son across the seas! Too sweet and smart and funny!!! ❤❤❤❤
That arl fella was boss.
Go Ed in Dutch means the same
No one in the us calls them underpants, boxers/ boxerbrief is the only term I ever hear used at least with people 45 and under. Older people might say underwear?..
surprising how many ppl don't know this slang/terms anyway still good vid 👍
The old man 😂that’s me I snitch on everyone 💀 😂
Who the f**k is that ol' geezer 🤣 legend
I love how the thumbnails have his old teeth. RIP British grill
Do you think you’ve dropped many views on the videos since the whole Jarrad Gordon fight etc?
Fun fact birds fly upside down over Liverpool 🤣
It's basically just a hybrid Dublin slang / accent
Nah
Ever had a Scouser trout?
"consonants where verbs are" ahh...🤔
CZcamsrs doing boxing now, we have CZcamsrs doing UFC
UFC fighters doin YouTubing ya mean?…
@@DaPee2346 Well he's a more successful CZcamsr than UFC fighter so I'd say he's primarily a CZcamsr
'Jobe' must come from 'Joe Baksi', which is Cockney (not Scouse) rhyming slang for 'taxi'.
I'm not seeing paddy win shit above levels of his last fight
Scran is his favourite word.
